Image Search - PictPicks

Not sure how to rate this. 4 stars for now. In some respects it is very good. In others, maybe so-so. Suggestion for UI improvement is: put all the settings and controls in one place, one menu, or give access to them from same spot. During the learning curve, it's easy to miss some. Users might give up on the app early, if some controls appear to be missing. I almost did. Another point the developer needs to make clear is that while this app is very good, it depends on the the search engine used, so some findings may not be what is desired. You need to try a combination of searches, for best results. The ads are not intrusive, not bad at all. Just my opinion. Thanks.

I just spent half an hour trying to find the app that could find out for me what type of phone I have. This one has the best rating I've given out of six apps tried. It's set up and use of icons is intuitive, so getting it to work immediately was great. The problem is, it couldn't distinguish between the type of fronds in the fern images it gave me. The fronds were always the fatter ones rather than the almost pine-tree-like that mine has.

I've tried lots of these & this is the best I've found. It's not perfect. Got too many pics of men from 1 short-haired female's pic, which is why only 4 stars. At least when I upload & search a picture of a young woman, I get photos of young women instead of pottery. And when I searched a heavily tattooed arm, a few pics of tats came up. That's better than other image search engines. Not a lot of directions, but it's pretty intuitive. Ads don't get in my way either. Can apply SafeSearch filter.

Fantastic app! Sometimes I confuse it for Google Images, except it seems that PictPicks is actually better, more streamlined, and more efficient than Google Images. I came to Play Store looking for a Google Images app, and I was convinced that one existed (Hey Google, how is it you don't have an app for Images?!). But, I would rather have PictPicks, based on the search results, and the ease of use. You guys ROCK!!! :-)

I love this app! I use it for shopping ideas, phone wallpapers, anything and everything! Love the fact that it can save pictures and also leads to websites to find the original item! Just love it!😃

Way better than Google lens when it comes to searching for images. Be nice if it had a size filter or aspect ratio filter. I like to use this to find wallpapers. If it had those options it be 5 stars easy

There are some quirks but overall best app i've ever used & no, this is a promotion rating. The ads are non-intrusive, it has found excellent pics for stuff that i've been looking for years, the pic quality is good, the share function actually works *bows to app creators*, and quite easy to use. You can even be directed to the image source via your browser. So, my rating is 4.9/5 because i dont know if it can search for gifs too. Did i mention its FREE?

It always finds relevant pics to the image I search. I love this app. I haven't had any problems at all. You can save a copy of a found image or go directly to the website it was found in just by tapping on the image and then choose the desired option.

I used to love this app, I was SO happy to find a better, faster, and mobile-friendly frontend for Google Images. Unfortunately, lately the results I get from the app and the website have been differing by a lot. This COULD be Google's fault, but nonetheless I sadly have to stop using PictPicks.

I tried several pictures and it really didn't get it. Closest was a blue flower which brought up many pictures of blue irises, a cat and a bunch of grapes. I even took a picture of a jar of Vicks vaporub and it couldn't find it. Wanted to search a piece of depression glass. No luck. To be fair I struggle with technology. This app may work better in more knowledgeable hands.

Almost, but not quite. Works well enough but I don't see any option for controlling through which search engine the pics are found nor is there an automatic slideshow option. Still decent for a quick image search.

Amazing app. Highly recommended. The features make it the best one I feel. Like option to swipe left and right, even when picture is zoomed in, similar picture search, and many more.

Very good. Pic Trove was the previous one I used. Had to delete it, because every image search was suddenly filtered to produce only purple-related pictures according to what I searched. I guess the developer thought it would be amusing; saying that Pic Trov had been infected by covid-19. It wasn't.

Okay...had quite a few problems with other image search apps; failure to download into my gallery and also lots of blockout ⚠ icons. This one downloads quickly easily and cleanly every time and has given me no problems!👍😎

Worthless after 2.19.0. Ad banner at the bottom is distracting, intrusive, and is too easy to select when trying to find the back button. Better to downgrade or look elsewhere. Was good while it lasted.

I love this app! You should make search options over 4 MP. The images are large but it is hard to find very large pictures. It would be helpful to be able to filter those out. Maybe 12 MP?

Search algorithm showing related images now greatly improved in terms of relevant matches and quality of images and sizes. Customization of search interface ,dark mode option, and ease of use make this app now better. More improvement needed in weeding out irrelevant responses which have been increasing.

Mediocre app. You take a pic and it'll give you a general idea, of what item may be. Ex: Took a pic of a unique rock (clearly a rock), got pics of arrow heads and feet as feedback... Try to be more specific.

helped me when my chrome stopped working (chrome had a nicer setup for google image searches). the only catch with this app for browsing is that gif searches don't work, only a fraction of them animate and a lot show as massively zoomed in

Best app!!! I make videos on YouTube. It was so difficult to find images for my videos Some photos do not have good quality, some have watermark It was so difficult! But I saw this app named 'PictPics' I opened it and I knew that It provides photos then I installed it I liked the app It was awesome! Thank you very much but please don't remove this app for any reason.

Great app, TONZ of photos ONLY. No ads or web pages, just photos, any size shape, format, colour, you name it. Great work and extremely helpful and easy to use. Thanks 10 times over for creating this.

I've used this app for around 4 years now. Other than some pictures refusing to load clear, once I clicked on them... Other than that, I have had nothing but good experiences with this app. I definitely suggest this app to anyone who can find use I'm this app.

Very difficult to find the photo after saving and if I don't use it immediately I have to start over. Search, find, save, search some more, redownload, search, find, save... you get the point. Great images though.

Tried looking up multiple pictures just to see what I would get back. Looked up a crochet project, came back with mud racing, looked up a horse, came back with astral images. Seriously? Where do these searches come from? Bing?

Hey I would like to make a feature request: name saved pictures, either manually or automatically (in the second case using the source website title, for example) ["either", or both xd].
