There are too many problems to list in just 500 characters. It sorta works for browsing, and occasionally for posting. But for the most part it's hot garbage especially compared against other platforms. Ads often hog android system memory and cause the app to hang. Occasionally opening a post fails and opens a post you didn't intend to look at. These are just a few of the major bugs available right now

Downgraded review from 2 to 1 star. Every update makes the app more unstable, every few posts I view I'll have to stop and close the app or else it starts lagging/glitching. Bugs everywhere, videos/gifs don't play, tabs are still garbage and way too sensitive so it launches you sideways when you're just trying to scroll down. But oh boy do the ads work!

Using this has been a downward spiral for a long time. My phone is already slow, so when the app starts making it difficult to navigate, load, or even turn off my device, that's a huge issue! It's been at a point where my whole phone just freezes and I can't even turn the screen off with the power button, how am I supposed to be OK with that? Oh but at least the ads always load first, so there's that...

The one thing this app is designed to do - uploading images & video - doesn't work. I tried for 20 minutes to upload 5 videos and eventually gave up and did it on the desktop instead. 1) the trimming timeline of videos doesn't show the right part and falls out of sync with the video 2) After adding a new video I could no longer select sound on or off. 3) There's no way to remove videos when rearranging. Desktop worked, except there's no trimming option and the videos were in the wrong order.

Contains Ads, there are so many ads this app has gone downhill so far. I was browsing for years and about 6 months ago there were ads which auto installed apps on your phone through manipulative taps (places your fingers would be, accidental taps). I uninstalled it. I tried to come back to it, I don't know if those ads are still there because I looked at 10 posts and saw 25 advertisements..... 2 for every post and between random posts there is a full page ad. Don't waste your time...

I really don't get much of the stability issues people are talking about. I spend so much time on here looking at memes, it would be wrong to not give it at least 4. HOWEVER: my favorites are not updating, when I post something it doesn't show up on my profile, when I delete a post it doesn't go away on my profile, when I look at a notification and then go back it takes me to the home page instead of back to the notifications screen, it randomly gets super chuggy, and no one uses the tags :(

Most of the time I can't even get through a post if it's longer than 5 pictures without it lagging. So have to close all the time, yet adds load with no issues. The issues with text not showing been there foe a while and yet still not fixed. Also the fact that there is a multitude of users bringing up issues and nothing being done, makes it look like really no one cares, so time to go.

I stopped using visiting the site in 2019 due to issues with the app and finally came back to check it out now. It still has it major problems. The biggest is that the feed is slow to update. I'll be scrolling through Most Vital and click a post in the bottom left. It often doesn't take me to the right post because the feed was slow to update. When I go back, it re-updates and the post I saw there is replaced by another. The one I clicked is no nowhere to be seen. Too buggy.

Issues abound in this app! The post you tap may or may not be the post you get to see. Now a video will play for a few seconds and then stop for no reason, only starting up again if I tap the scroll bar. I have to restart the app many times in a day to get it to work functionally. And now they're shoving gigantic/disruptive ads in between the post and comments (as well as every where else!) Glad to see the ads working but literally nothing else.

Crashes constantly. Sometimes it take less than a minute. I have it on three different devices and its the same on all of them, two tablets and a android phone. It makes no difference. It's gotten even worse somehow. I cant even open it up without it closing on it's own now, almost instantly. Dunno what happened to it but I'm done. Too much of a hassle and I no longer care enough to care. If I could give negative stars I would.

Ads apparently are more important than user experience. Literally almost ever time you open a thread or image or even worse a video, an ad playing music will start up and not stop until it finishes even if you minimize the app. Seriously, who thought this was a good idea. Anytime one plays, it shut down Imgur time. A great way to keep me off your platform.

Been using imgur since 2015. It gets worse the further they update, with no care to fix previously created bugs. With the more recent permanent ads (that can no longer be 'x' clicked to dissappear), it has become a disaster. I get the point of the ads - I was okay with the few they had mixed in as you scroll through the posts. But now they are cramming them in everywhere. The big video ad that greets you when you open the app, I believe is the cause of it overloading and crashing. FIX THIS App!

It functions. But uploading on the app is mediocre (can't add or remove images from an album once it's been made, can't paste text in easily, upload errors with no explanation). Browsing always has some bug or another. Right now it has the text and picture start at the top of the page so the picture overlaps the text and hides it. Doesn't always happen but it's enough.

New issues while old bugs still never get fixed. Now it gets jumpy when scrolling and videos lose frames the longer you have the app open. The issue with thumbnails leading to a different post remains. Not fixed as of 4/26/22. The presence of ads don't bug me, but there are more ads in new places every day. They just don't care about the product and people anymore. It seems like a cash grab for ad money up until they can sell it to the next buyer.

It will randomly open the play store without warning, sometimes multiple times in a row. Descriptions on images are cut off or transposed onto other posts. When scrolling through posts, it will snap back to an ad making you go through 5-6 posts again. Overall, the app is completely broken and the device show no interest in fixing, just adding more ads.

App fails to open the post that is selected and take you to the first one in the feed. You have to close the app reopen to fix this for a bit and it does it again there is no auto refresh and the bug is annoying as you have to scroll all through the feed to get back to where you were in the first place. This has been going on for some time and is getting to the point I will un install the app.

The ads have gotten worse and worse as the years have gone by. First it was ads every images. Then it was the pop ups. Then it was ads that pulled up the play store. Now it's ads that I can't even close? Dude, your ads are the worst. Sarah, get your stuff together. I'm done with this garbage. Came back, now the ads play music randomly, even when not in the app. Awesome.

Posts shuffle so you always lose the next one you wanted to see. fps randomly drops to like 2 and restarting doesnt fix it you have to manually kill the app. Description text frequently is cut off. It will get stuck showing you a previous post youve already seen and youll have to reload to clear what you've already seen and lose your place. Crashes all the time. If you open another app or close the app accidentally it doesn't save your place when you come back anymore. TOO MANY GD ADs. Garbo app

Mobile App has gone downhill so ridiculously hard in the last year or so. Every visit is now a constant freezing, crashing, ad spamming cycle of frustration. When it very very rarely works smoothly, you get to deal with ads popping up wherever you go to click, ads resented as orginal content on the site, or being spammed every other post. If you remember FunnyJunk way back when it first started to turn into a garbage hole of glitches, bots, ads, and spam, well that's where this app is at now.

Honestly I am on this app constantly and after they fixed the constant crashing I thought we were back to normal. Most posts have more than 1 ad, and there is something messed up with the descriptions. Most images and posts are pointless without the description. It's clear they have become more interested in ad revenue than a functional app and community.

The app used to work fine, now it constantly cuts out notes in the post, crashes if you try to zoom in on the notes, crashes if you try to look at the next post, skips 30 posts backwards when you try to look at the next post... then crashes, and the list goes on. Probably great on a browser but they should give up on the app!

Recently not so great. Over the past year or so the app has been getting less and less stable. Things not loading correctly, gif just will not load. Now I can't even go into notifications without it freezing. I have a brand new phone so it's not that Theres been a lot of ads lately too, which I don't care EXCEPT that they added a new one that will increase in size sometimes and you accidentally tap it and get pulled out of the app AS THE AD WAS DESIGNED TO. If it crashes less will update review

An app that tries to force you to work for it instead of working for you. Also, it's unstable and crashed multiple times within ten minutes of trying to post a picture with it. There's no obvious way to post a picture with it without granting far too many permissions to your other pictures. The desktop interface is vastly better.
