Import That App messages from Windows Phone

Absolutely great app! Works exactly as described and the developer was super fast and helpful in his replies when I had doubts! I was able to retrieve all my whatsapp info to my android phone. Of course the process takes some time (as explained in the app), but I've searched everywhere and this seems to be the only available solution for all windows 10 phones (others are limited to certain models only). It's definitely worth every penny, and even more. Many thanks for the developer!

As others have said, the process is quite long especially if you find you have to revert to an earlier version of Windows OS halfway through. But the process absolutely worked, the instructions were very thorough and help via email was on offer. Give yourself a bit of time and work through it step by step — this app does exactly what it says on the tin!

This may take quite some effort if you are planning to use this on a Lumia x50 device due to extra steps in unlocking to obtain the required file. Be prepared. However, you will be rewarded for your time and efforts. The more requiring challenge for me however, was in the later step just before restoring the messages. Ioan was very willing to help, although we couldn't figure out what went wrong. Eventually it worked after some tweak and (many) tries, and the messages have been successfully migrated. Thank you for creating the app =)

Scared to try at first, because the instructions looked "technical" to me. But thought of losing precious Whatsapp memories spurred me. It took a while, but thanks to the step-by-step instructions, and prompt email support from the developer himself, I imported most of the chats' contents from my Lumia 535. Not sure why some image, audio, video and application files were skipped in the process, but I'm happy that most were successfully imported. Great app! Thank You, loan Leonardocezary! =)

After first deciding I did not feel qualified to perform the sequence of instructions required to keep my text messages, I gave “Import That App…” another look and was I amazed at the results. With Mr. Leonardocezarÿ’s support and guidance, I was able to follow and perform all required instructions, resulting in 4 years of my Windows 10 Lumia 950 XL text messages being flawlessly imported by my new Android Version 9 phone with all of the WhatsApp classic text formatting intact. I do not have technical computer programming background. The process was quite long but well worth it. I felt I had nothing to lose. WhatsApp was withdrawing from all Windows based phones; I would have lost my text messages without “Import That App…” to the rescue.

Long story short ! After looking all over the web to find a way to get my watsapp data transferred from Lumia 650 to Android, I finally found Leo and his app. I should say, it involves few manual steps as mine is X50 series. However, Leo helped me thruout the process to get it done regardless of time. Although I couldnt get 100% of my data, text messages were 99.99% successuful. Rest of the data, like pics, videos etc.. were not that much positive..THATAPP managed to import everything that Microsoft's OneDrive could get us. And I am happy with what I managed to get and I sincerely thank Leo for making this much possible. I will definetly miss my windows phone. But I cant help it.. as its coming close to end of support. I used your paid version of the app twice and all worked well at the end of last year (2019) Please help, now both phones that were successfully working have now lost all messages after a recent WhatsApp update. Restore failed, various database backups tried. Your help would be much appreciated, thank you.

I switched from a Windows Phone to an Android phone (the circumstances doesn't allow me to continue using a Windows Phone) and this app helps to save the day. I could not get the media transferred but all the messages were transferred, after following Leon's instructions (and his SUPER prompt replies also). With his SMS import app (FREE) and this app, I have all my messages transferred to my new phone. Yes, you have to pay for this app but if you have important messages to transfer, it is worth paying for the app.

This app amazingly does what most everyone says is impossible. The steps are clear. It takes a little time to do them, but only if you choose to include all of the media attached to your messages, which for most people is not necessary and could take up a lot of space, so I recommend that most people skip over those steps. If you do skip those steps, then you can do what is needed to transfer your messages quickly. And, nicely, if you have any questions, Leo is good about replying to your questions. It was a pleasure to work with him. I would have gladly paid much more for this app. Now I benefit from having all of my old messages on my new phone. Thanks, Leo. -- Greg

Great app for ex Windows phone users that were left without WhatsApp support regarding chat transfer from WP to Android. Despite initial bugs in the previous version the updated app delivered smooth transfer of all content to my Android phone. Above all, the developer was very prompt and professional in communicating and resolving the problem.

The app worked perfectly and I'm so glad to be able to bring my WhatsApp messages to my new phone! Instructions were comprehensive and foolproof, and the developer was very friendly and responded quickly and thoroughly to my questions. Highly recommended! (I also used the other app by the developer to transfer my SMS and MMS messages, and was very happy with the experience/outcome)

It's very intermittent that Whatsapp nor Microsoft made an effort to solve the problem and left their users helpless. Congratulations to Leonard that meet the difficult challenge. This is the only app that migrate from lumia x9x to android. I have 950 XL. The step by step instructions are so detailed and accurate that this process worked for me for the first time. The willingness of the author to help by email is important added value. Chapeau Leonard!

I was able to import my msgs from wp. It took time and some emails with author. Process aint easy and user must follow steps carefully and double check everything. +++++ For email support 4* because of the difficulty, but developer might not be able to make it any easier. Anyway if you have important chat history in WP this is probably the best way to import those to android.

This app works greatly, and with excellent support during the process. Moving from a Win Phone to an iPhone 11 Pro, I did not find a direct method, and thus I firstly made the transfer to an Android phone. The app by Ioan Leonardocezarÿ did a marvelous job. When the process became more difficult with a new WhatsApp version, Ioan helped me throughout the new obstacle. Then, Ioan advised me on the next step, and now all my my messages, images and videos are on my iPhone.

As Windows Phone's life comes to an end, it's been a lifesaver to have this app. The process is a bit tricky, but the author's support was super quick, friendly and professional.

Great app! To be more precise, after I've imported successfully my SMS and MMS messages from Windows Phone with another app made by this developer, now I could import my WhatsApp messages also. The process is a bit complicated, but the help inside app is detailed and helpful. Also the developer responds very fast. I strongly recommend this app!

It was a long process, bit this dev went above and beyond to help me resolve issues specific to my device, and now I have all my chats from my Lumia 950 XL on my Xiaomi Mi 9. The man knows his stuff, and was an absolute pleasure to work with. Excellent work 👌 and invaluable help in preserving some memories.

WhatsApp is saying the apk version installed is forbideen. This app only works with that version of WhatsApp so the app has an big issue and didn't work at all. As soon WhatsApp was activated it showed a blocked window with a countdown to be banned, for good. The screenshots were sent to the developer which told me he would gonna pause the app in the store until he figure it out. He didn't do it second guessing my word and not honoring his word. Developer is in denial and distorted facts.

My last update: Sadly :( you never responded here or via email. That caused me now to install the latest version of Whatsapp, without any of my 9 months of chat history. Because of you not helping us, your app is useless, because it only worked until Whatsapp released a new version. We were all doomed from the moment we used your app to convert our chat history. You've caused me to waste 5 months of my life trying to find ways to save my chat history. And today Sept 7, 2020 I lost everything. Therefore I plan to request a refund. Note to this app developer: YOU CANNOT DROP THE PEOPLE THAT PAID FOR YOUR PRODUCT!! US X50 WINDOWS PHONE USERS TRUSTED YOU WITH OUR DATA ... Success with 950! Process was long and complicated but given Microsoft and WhatsApp abandoned us that was to be expected. Developer was very responsive when I ran into trouble.

Too complicated, didn't get what I wanted - Convert WP10 what'sapp to my Android phone. Should have instruction or restrictions out front in shore rather embedded in Apps and dissapoint customer. I want a full refund.

Not easy to do if this is completely new to you. Hòwever don't despair, Ioan was fantastic and supports you through your questions & next steps. I don't usually leave feedback, but am so happy that I could move my messages over to Android unlike my colleagues who had lost theirs. Next ....import to IOS ...lol

Leo has made a difficult migration as easy as really possible, still complex - but top marks for the app and his help.

I purchased and installed this app...but not able to proceed as not able to install 8zip on my Windows Lumia 640. Please let me know my next steps.

After a few corrections and application update I have succed to transfer all WhatsApp files from Lumia 630 to Nokia 3 (by Lumia 550). Very good and useful application
