The previous release of this app was buggy, which made it pretty useless. This update works much better connecting every time and actually holding the programmed settings. Some ideas for improvement. The ability to select the light setting in the app, rather than just switch the lights on and off. A one-button eco mode. One click to set economy to a customer pre-selected temperature. Direct on mode, similar to eco above but turning on to a pre-selected temperature.

I'm running the latest version of this app on Android 12 as well as on an iPhone iOS, and there is an issue when I'm not connected to a WiFi network. I am unable to connect to my hot tub when on cellular/mobile network (not connected to WiFi). I get an error message "Error: Unable to connect to your spa". Is this a known issue? 2/14/2022 Update: 2 months later and haven't received a fix for this issue. Looking forward to it.

Generally the app is ok, missing some really useful features though like a 7 day timer, it would be really useful if you could enter a heating time of degrees/hr of your hot tub and from that you could enter what time you wanted it to be up to temperature in that way it would save a lot of money and energy on heating, especially so at the moment as electricity is so expensive and there is a massive emphasis on going green etc. Come on Gecko, let's have a really useful update to the app please.

When it works, it is not bad. Problem is trying to get it to activate. It crashes about 3 to 4 times before it finally opens. Then when it opens it may not connect. I have to close and start all over again. I have tried uninstalling, placing the transmitter closer, transmitter higher... No change. Fairly disappointed. When it finally connects it seems nice and does accept commands.

Just connected this and it went well. No real problems. There are no instructions or labels on the buttons, but it's pretty intuitive. The reason I go t this wifi connection was to be able to know if there's a problem in winter when we are away - before the pipes freeze. So what I would really, really like is a cold temperature alert that would send me a push notification when the water temp drops below a certain level.

I have had the opposite experience. Everything was working perfectly fine, the update has completely made the app useless on my pixel 4. I just get a spinning wheel with a retry button after about a minute. Went from 4 to 1. Is there somewhere I can get the older version so at least it usable again. update fixed all issues. Thanks working as expected again. 👍

UPDATE: developers have corrected the crashing issues! Thanks guys! Just got a new hot tub and this app is extremely buggy! Sometimes I need to open and close the app 3-4 times before it'll run on my phone properly. Also when I first connected it to my phone, it said that my spa pack had an undetectable software version installed. Seems to still work but only when it decides to work after opening and closing the app multiple times. Would be great if it wasn't so buggy!

Can't add a spa. Hardware LEDs indicate a link. Account is setup correctly. App just spins on the Add a Spa page, never finding my spa. Update: I created a support case online and then called tech support. I got through to an English speaking tech right away who explained that it sounded like the app was on a different network than the device. I moved the connection from the main router to one of my mesh network devices and that solved the problem. The app is limited, but now works ok.

Edit: app started working after an update was pushed. App is still very slow to load my spa (15-30 seconds) even while on my home network. App just suddenly stopped working. Click my spa, goes to a setting page and just spins iPad version is working just fine. Tried reinstalling and clearing all date to no avail. When I'm prompted to log in I simply get an error 0 with no description.

This app is good for setting up a hot tub water temperature. Definitely appreciate this feature. Major disappointment was that this app does not work with Google Home and Vocal Assistant capability is impossible to setup. Gecko should fix this issue or remove this feature from their website. It is a basically false advertising.This was one of the main factors I purchased the In. Touch 2 kit. Jan.6/20. Vocal Assistant feature has not been fixed eventhough it is being promoted on Gecko website

Well it doesn't do what I was told it would. I wanted to set a timer for the temperature so it was hot when I wanted to use it in morning. Called tech support guy seemed perturbed to talk about it like he just wanted the call to end. To me setting filter cycles and whatever economy setting is don't make much sense. Website doesn't explain very well what they do. I guess Im on my own to figure this out. Im one day in at this point hope it gets better. At this point it just saves me walking downstairs to up the heat.

I am a blind screen reader user who just purchased a D1 Executive spa. I was VERY disappointed that almost none of the controls in this app had been labeled, making it unusable. Considering the very high cost of D1 spas, I think it's inexcusable for their app not to have been written with accessibility in mind. Previous models had braille on their touch controls, but apparently no thought was given to accessibility in this latest model.

Mobile control of my spa is wonderful. I love just about everything about the app, but it would be a wonderful feature if we could enable/disable eco mode from the app. My kids accidentally turn it on and there is no way for me to disable it until I get physical access to the hot tub.

Set it up. Had it working for an hour or so, then next time I opened the app and selected my spa, it just sits there with the spinning circle... Rebooted phone, rebooted the home transmitter, rebooted the spa.. Nothing fixed it! I am a software developer, and I am shocked they release this totally non functional software, making the hardware useless! Price of hardware they NEED to fix this.

Worked really well for about a week. Then proceeded to tell me I had no internet, couldn't connect, and it never changed. Continually having to uninstall then reinstall to get it to function even partially. So far a waste of money.

missing the mark by a lot this app does not provide any additional feedback or advanced information other than just being a remote. even the temperature settings is a finicky slider. there would be a huge potential to have scheduled temperature etc... but no nothing. also it is slow to update readinga from the spa

Plugged in and plugged into back of router and it just worked.. like the first thing ever.. 3 stars because it Needs schedule on lights! You have schedule on pump and filter and heater just not on lights? Lights currently turn off after 2 hours automatically. I would really like to be able to turn them on at dusk and off at say 9 or 10 pm.

I think this is the worst app I have ever used. It rarely connects, none of the controls are labelled. I have no idea either why I need to make an account to use something on my local network especially since all it does is try connection constantly. Would give less if I could.

I had issues with the device kept not responding, so I wrote a script to check it daily and auto reboot on failure. The fact that I needed to do this shows how unreliable it is. If I'm spending $200 ona device I expect it to work. I know it's not a range problem because it's only about 20 feet away.

Perfectly acceptable app. The app does what the vendor says it does. I've had a few connection issues but if I wait an hour or so, it seems to resolve itself. Wish the application would have a log history that shows number of hours the pumps have ran, how many hours the heater has been on, etc.

Awful app and support! Has not worked for two months. Can't log in. "An error has occurred, please try again later, code 0" It's not the hardware controllers, these are connected just fine via WiFi. Support keeps sending me rediculous troubleshooting emails. The error is clearly a server side issue on Gecko's part. Fix your app and server!

Terrible..it worked for a while but stopped working with the latest Android upgrade. Just says select a spa and will not connect with the spa. I have reported it to gecko but no help and will not connect. Good connection...solid blue lights. Fyi tech support says there is a known issue with Android phones... hope they fix it soon

Horrible app, worked for 2 months now can't connect to spa, wireless devices onsite are connected less than 20' apart, but cloud access fails - just keeps saying trying to connect power must be off, but its not. Don't recommend wasting your time or money on this solution.

App is completely useless. Keeps giving error messages "Unable to conncent to your spa etc" almost every time you try to connect to your spa, even though internet connection and power supply are fine.

hi i have installed the intouch 2 gecko app to control the spa, genrally it works well, but what is really annoying is the fact that the notifications dont work. so when there is an error on the spa you only know about when you open the gecko app. which is no help at all please fix this asap

Basic functionality. Needs IFTTT and/or homeseer integration to really enable the potential such as logs, graphs, actions based on other inputs (outside temperature, energy rates). 'Setpoint reached'....great...when was that? How long ago? How long has it heated for in the last 24 hours? How much energy was used? Is this on the roadmap?

Perfect. I waited to rate this app. I've been using this app for 2.5 years and I've never had a single problem with it. I'm using it with a Catalina spa. The router where the device is plugged in is not is not very far away (1 floor above it). Maybe that's why it works so well.

Works as expected. One thing missing is to be able to set the temperature myself when away.. only standard values that cannot be changed are available and these i need to figure out myself. The visual appearance could be a little more colorful.. 5* if I can read-only via home automation api..:-)

Doesn't work AT ALL since update. If it even gets to the point of opening the app without crashing, it won't connect. Pretty cool I paid extra for a hot tub feature that has been rendered useless. FIX IT!
