INCI Beauty - Analysis of cosmetic products

Highly unreliable. No explanation on how they base their score. E.g. a product with 17 green items, 3 orange and 1 red has 5.1/20. How? Why? Also why is one substance red and another not? For reliability sources have to be linked to each ingredient. And in the app not a single source was listed. When I searched for the ingredients on the web I couldn't find support in the claims this app makes. Most information about the app is in French. It seems that not everything is translated to English

Great app. Most consultants in shops do not know if parabens, sulphates or other harmful products are in their products. For a consumer, it is difficult to navigate shopping for safe products. We aren't all scientists 😀 thanks for this app

I'm relatively new to the app and I find it really useful. It really helped me defining a proper skincare routine. The interface is easy, has potential if some features can be improved. For instance, I agree with a previous review about being able to create specific lists of products instead of adding it as favourites because I like to try new products and my skincare needs can change depending on the seasons (I have mixed skin).

So far I love this app. I've been checking all my products and adding photos. Fascinating to see how some ingredients that are allowed (and in so many products) are banned elsewhere. Something to think about. The one huge negative are the full page ads. The first one I saw upon opening the app was for Facebook and I clicked it thinking I'd be using my FB account to use the app. The X on the ads needs to be more obvious. Other than that, I don't mind the ads. The app use is worth it.

Updated review: I find the app useful and straightforward when searching or adding new products. Have shared with friends. ............. I can't find anywhere a guide to say if a low score is good or bad. Any help with this question? Thank you

overall good application. But over the last several sessions I experience issues at its starting. It just freezes.

It took me a little bit to know how to use this app, overall is a very good app. It really opened my eyes, now i have to throw most of my cosmetics away 😳😂.

This app is so useful. The only thing I don't like is that it has some false and old information and that you need to pay to post pictures of the products.

The database is insane... the information is, I think, reliable. I think that what could be better is the apps design and functionality. I'd love to be able to create a few different lists of products instead of one favourites section.

4 stars because I uploaded almost 20 products that weren't in its platform but the app hasn't shared it yet. It says "name of the product being created" since some months ago. I think this make bigger the lack of information that some complain about. Please, make the product creation phase faster in order to prevent missinformation about them. I believe this app has double amount of product data as everybody think but most of them are stuck in the creation process.

Not a reliable source. Cerave hydrating cleanser it's on the list with many different scores. The exactly same product has a score of 11.4/20 then a score of 6.4/20, I don't know wich one is right (I will go for the 11.4 as the company usually it:s not full of nasties) so the app is useless.

Please insert a ingredient searching option, where i can copy-paste the ingredient list and you can scan and give me the solution about which ingredient is pore clogging and which is not. The biggest complain about your app is that it does not cover all the products, and i have faced the same problems. By checking the ingredients, you dont need to cover or include all the products, just check their ingredients.

THE BEST app I have used to scan products. The most comprehensive one as well, it takes into account both our health and the health of the planet, with color coded ingredients and the possibility of creating a restricted list of ingredients if you are allergic to certain components for example. This app has literally changed my way of consuming and has made me aware of how much marketing and greenwashing has been selling us lies. INCI Beauty has helped me make more conscious consumer choices.

The app is great and surprisingly I could find many kbeauty products in the database. Only downside being that when I add a product to the database I can only do so using the camera to take a photo I cannot upload the image from my gallery which makes it troublesome especially with kbeauty products that do not show ingredient list in English on the actual product

The app is incredible, such an altruistic approach with descriptions, and gives many options. If only I knew about it earlier. The design is also subtle and elegant. Keep up the great work!

I loved this app, but for some reasons I don't understand, the app is not working anymore... I have uninstalled, reinstalled, tryed to open it and the logo only appears and then it disappears... Tryed to re-open, closes by itself right after the logos appearence. :/

best app to scan products!! huge base and almost 99% of all items scanned they have them in database. Thrilled as it is now much easier to go shopping for cosmetic and shampoos. told all my friends and they all love it

Amazing app, has a large amount of well-known and less known brands and their products. Need two seconds to scan the bar code and generate the result. I highly recommend it for everyone since the large cosmetics companies are putting poison into their products. Thank you for caring Invi beauty team!

This app is crazy good, eye opening

Keeps saying "our services are currently unavailable. Please try again later" and I waited two days and it still says that.

App makes no sense.. Every time I scan an item, it's not recorded yet

This app is awesome. It helped me realize how much bad stuff I put on my skin and helped me choose better ones. Finally I don't feel lost when I look at ingredients. The lot of chemicals can be really confusing and it's hard to decide which ones are good or bad. Now I just take my phone and check them. Thank you.

I've tried quite a few code-checking apps and INCI is by far with the best data base and most comprehensive rating system. I didn't give it five stars because the other apps have faster scanners, hopefully this can be sorted out

App is overall great, what would be even better is if it contained information whether a manufacturer is cruelty free or not.

Its a good app,but theres just 2 PROBLEMS the scanner sometimes wont work and it doesnt have all different products when searching for the product to see whats good,bad ingredients in the product and some titles of products are not in english.

Yet another toy tool without any scientific background. Fear mongering, not research based information that is not backed up by any kind of scientific data! Since when, for example, is salicylic acid suspected of being an endocrine disruptor? Where do you get this info from, mommy blogs?? I could continue writing... apart from that lots of ads, which, could be actually perceived as endocrine disruptors as they most certainly get my aggression responsible hormone levels up and....so does this app

Few words about this app. This app is awesome, informative and very helpful, useful. It helps people to understand cosmetics and avoid toxic chemicals in every day products. Great job!
