* FAQ ***Q: What does this app do?A: Reports a spam call/SMS, also known as Unsolicited Commercial Communication(UCC), to the concerned authority.
Q: How is it different from other spam blockers apps?A: Other apps work locally. Which means they hide UCC from your phone. This app, however, offers something more permanent. Reported number will *never
* be able to send a UCC again.
Q: How does it do that?A: It extracts these info – time, date, and number. Formats them into a string and sends it to 1909(specified by TRAI).
Q: Can I do it without this app?A: Sure! But do keep a notebook handy to note down all details and then compose them into a formidable looking string. :)
Q: What happens when I report a UCC.A: It depends on your operator. Here is what happens with Vodafone(Delhi). I get a confirmation from 1909 about my report. I also get a complaint number. Within next two days a customer care representative calls me and tells me that they have issued a warning to the sender. There are fines for second incidence etc.
Q: Does it cost me money?A: No. 1909 is toll-free.
Q: Why do I keep getting errors about wrong format?A: Because network operator implements their own format, even though TRAI has specified one universal format.
Q: What can I do about it?A: Use "Report Error" button in app.
Q: Why don’t I see all my calls/SMS.A: This is a feature. TRAI directs that UCC should be reported within 3 days of receiving. So I hide SMS/calls older than three days.

The app crashes and doesnt send SMS upon clicking send button, though it forns the SMS correctly. please fix.
reporting format ia wrong, I get reply - Your request cannot be processed. As per TRAI norms DND complaint can be accepted for calls/SMS received in last 3 days. Use the given Format:- Short description of Unsolicited Communication, SMS/CALL Header,dd/mm/yy
Hey. I am trying to use it. I use jio network in haryana. It does not seems to working
It use to work fine. But now it just hangs and I am unable to report spam msgs.
Unable to forward SMSs
I recently installed this app to get rid of annoying sms which don't display number but have few letters like BPBAJAJ, PHEASY, etc ie mostly idiotic life insurance msgs. I reported 2 numbers but for both numbers I got a msg from 1909 saying the request is not valid. In case this helps, I use a dual sim phone Samsung phone with Nougat.
Application Now not working properly since last two months. Every time a error message getting from service provider is "not a correct format". There is no resolution to this even after reporting error. Need to uninstall if no resolution as application is now no more helpful. Now uninstalling it as no response. Pathatic a very poor application development.
It was a very good app , now from past few months am not able to complain about msgs as I always get error saying msg is in wrong format.. Request you to provide update.. May be service provider has changed the request format
I've used this app for more than a year now, and have recommended it to quite a few of my friends. However, in the last 2-3 months, I've been getting errors every time I try reporting a call/SMS. I get an SMS saying "Hello! You have entered the wrong keyword. Please enter the desired keyword and SMS to 199". This happens every single time.
Was fed up with these low life spammers. But now, I certainly am feeling the difference. Very very effective. Edit as on 28/sept/2017 App not working. Every time I try to raise a complaint get the invalid format message. "Hello! You have entered the wrong keyword. Please enter the desired keyword and SMS to 199."
Hi developers, As per my analysis the app is working fine when is being used with single sim, however when used with dual sim mode, its not able auto identify the network provider and circle. Its reflects null. Since it is not able to identify the network provider its not sending the message in the designated message format, and we have to edit the same. Please rectify this issue as soon as possible.
This app makes the thng very easy otherwise i would never have reported any Spams. Thanks for nice work. But please consider it updating time to time. I see a last available update as of Nov 2014..expecting for better look n feel..
Always ends with an error "Open App Again" and "Send Feedback" while reporting a spam call and SMS. Report Error function is available only for SMS and not for Calls. Reported Spam message error through direct mail. P.S.: I am using the app with Single sim without SD Card though my phone has a Hybrid Sim slot.
using this app for about 2 months now and believe me it has helped me like anything. after every unwanted call or sms first thing I do is to open this app and report the call or sms to my service provider. in next few mins I get an automated SMS and in next 4-5 days they actually send me confirmation on action taken. by this time I have got over 20 numbers disconnected. Thanks a lot /...
The developer is very responsive and has made it very easy to report errors and since last update the app is working great. Also it's good to know that the developer gives due credit for reporting errors. Keep up the good work. 04/2018: doesn't work anymore, seems like the developer has abandoned the app.

Hi Deepak, I like your app. But it is not working fine in my new mobile (lenovo A5000 - dual sim) When I open the app, I get a toast message saying "Auto identification circle:null provider: null". So I am getting retry again with correct format error everytime. Uninstalling this app now and hope to install it again later after this issue is resolved.
Famtastic. Can we also check dnd registration status as it is on the nccptrai site. Sorry editing the old review as google doesn't allow more than one review pet user. So wanted to check if can send a custom complain msg without sms having received on normal sms . Marketers are now using what's app.
Excellent app that's easy to use and does what is intended. I do face issues with some promo SMSes which are sent from named numbers like ad- or am- etc but the rest works very well
A simple to set-up and use app. One that every android user should use on a regular basis to report SMS and telemarketing spam.
Getting continuous error that messaging format is wrong,urgent update for application required.
Doesn't work because of wrong format: developer shld use the app himself. He will get the mesg from network stating the right format. Best of luck for fixing it. It's a good way to fix spamsters though.
Dev/Devs you need to change the format of reporting a spam msg . Please make the changes accordingly. The app is no longer working because of this.
This app has given me good support in registration of issues against spammers...
One touch solution for spam problems..be it call out sms. I wish it could work with whatsapp too..In most cases it has done fine..In a few cases some details were missing as informed by my mobile service provider...
UPDATE: 2 Jan 2015: A few bugs needs to ironed out and have spoken to the developer Deepak. He should be fixing this shortly. Still 1000 stars worth App! The above itself will tell you how effective this app is! I placed an ad in the newspaper for my property, and the spam SMS's started to flood in! Not wanting to go thru the tedious process of reporting every SMS and calls, I looked on Google play and came across "India against spam". What used to take me nearly 5 minutes to report manually, your app cut that time down to a few seconds! In a matter of few minutes, I reported all the SMS's and got acknowledgement. The app is extremely easy to use! Now here is the winner....one of the spammers number got disconnected and now he is calling me and begging for my forgiveness and asking to take the complaint back! Thank you Deepak...you have just made every smartphone carrying Indian's life a little better with your app! Wish I could give you 1000 stars!
Does everything it is supposed to do. Managed to stop so many unscrupulous Spammers who ignore NDNC rules.
Awesome app! This will help you curb all those unwanted SPAM calls. Gradually you will see a decline in those SPAM calls as you will start reporting more and more phone calls as well as promotional SMS. Ideally refrain from sharing you number with any online or offline surveys until and unless it is really important as a best practice to prevent it being picked up by spammers in the first place. Rest I really miss and want an alternative of this app in iOS too :(
The does not send themessave to 1909 in correct format anymore. It was working fine earlier but doesn't seem to anymore. Habe reported many errors but no response. Not recommended to download anymore.
