"Raga" is a melodic mode used in Indian classical music. It is a rhythmic expression of a mood in Indian melody. "Indian Classical Ragas" is an e-Learning application where you can learn the Ragas by knowing Aaroh, Avaroh, Vaadi, Samvaadi, Prahar and some more information. Application also displays the list of famous hindi songs based on the ragas for reference.
We are in continuous process of adding more and more songs to the application hence you can expect more frequent updates to the application. Application works very well on mobile devices as well as tablet devices.
Application shows few Devnagari letters like "Swara's". To view them correctly; we would recommend using the application on Android version 4.2+; though few earlier versions are able to render the application without any issues. Our recommendation to use 4.2 is because; Android has officially started supporting Indic Fonts from version 4.2

Perfect, exactly what i wanted. Just a suggestion, if u can include small bandish / composition audio by some classical artist it would give complete idea as how that raag sounds in pure clssical n how in other songs based on it. Thank you🙏🕉️
The app is particularly wonderful. I was just thinking it would be the perfect app, had the developers included a section of Chalan and Bandish for each raaga, like they did for songs. YouTube links would suffice but it would become a one stop destination for that matter.
4 star ⭐ why not five stars . The sound of ascending and descending is not as proper probational as it should be .and other thing that we must be able to change the scale because we do not always use it with hormonium I am as flute player I need same scale as of my flute but I can't change scale of my flute there must be option to change the scale . Over all very good effort .
Great app! One suggestion which would really be helpful: Write the western notes translations in flats instead of sharps. It gets confusing when, for instance, if Sa is 'C', Re Komal is currently denoted as C#, whereas it sould be Db instead. Small tweak, but makes a world of a difference in understanding the progression of notes. Especially for someone like me who is trying to understand Hindustani classical with a western background. Keep up the good work. Thanks!
App doesn't open...it says "Indian Classical raagas DB failed". It was working fine. But now it doesn't work. I tried uninstalling it and re-installating it, but it's still the same.
It's Basic Necessitie of any classical music student, Just one request can you also also add Raag bandish youtube links in SONGS section that will be so useful because We can't find bandish sometimes if not links then just mention lyrics or notation or name of bandish that will be so useful
Very very useful app for learning Hindustani Classical music. Examples of relevent Hindi movie songs have made it easier to get a perfect idea of the corresponding Ragas.
Don't believe the app, I went through 4-5 random ragas , each and every raga is incorrect. They are teaching bad scales. Play store should remove the app immediately.
For whichever raaga the hindi film songs were unavailable, classica/semi classical songs of singers from different gharanas should have been incorporated rather than repeating the same songs from films. Its a huge error in this app.
Nice attempt, especially being a free app. The scales played on harmonium are so funny its almost like pressing all the keys at once.
Giving low ratings in hopes of a quick solution.... I'm not being able to select the raag by time as shown in the description. Only select them by thaat. Please find the solution for this. Otherwise good app
Yes,5 star though there are many things to be upgraded to be best as adding new features and retaining some of the old but it won't haunt you for payment like some other apps that's what I liked the most in this app...!!
It's an awesome app with 365 (approx) raags. I will prepare you to download this app if you are interested in classical song. •But I will tell to improve the features in the app.
Excellent app , details of ragas are there. Besides ragas falling in the thats are also specified which is very much helpful for students.
Very informative app available in playstore, best thing about this app is that it contains all Ragas even you cant find this type of list online. If you are begginer and looking for complete book for ragas then you must install this app.
never worked properly. i selected the raag more then 10 times to know about it but it is not working. worst application. unable to give information that i wanted
It is helpful and also useful for me because i am also singing this classical music so , i have installed it and it is very nice app ...
Experience is average but there are so many mistakes in writing of Sa re ga ma of Ragas and demo on harmonium of each swar of any rag is to be played saperately for better understanding.
Good for learning and if there is also swaralipi then that will also helpful
Harmonium notes not at all clear. Should have used vocals instead. Pakad should have also been included.
Good app but music collection based on particular raaga is not sufficient and bandish of each raga with taan should be in same place so one can identify particular raaga

Bful list of all thaats,respective ragas n popular songs of those ragas ...all at one place!! You can play them using a touch button..👍👍👍

Just too good. With many Raaga information. Very light but yet powerful in terms of information.
It didn't work on my mobile. I pushed buttons, nothing happened.
If we i can add one more function, sort by emotions this will be perfect app.
Application is very useful and informative no doubt in it. I have few points- 1. पकड़(group of notes) is not available for every raag. 2. Sample audio of 'aroh' & 'avroh' is not up to the mark, it can be much better. 3. It would be great if you could add voice samples for chalan of raag, as just by looking at notes of any new raag it's quite difficult to know its form(चलन). This application would be unbeatable if you people work on it. Thank you
