I love Indycar. But I HATE this app. 1.) Fantasy is not integrated. links to a browser 2.) Fantasy is blind. While you're picking drivers, no performance information is availabe. 3.) Qualification results are posted in order of running, not in order of performance, and some drivers are on there twice if they had more than one run, making it hard to read and determine results at a glance. 4.) Ugly app icon. Indycar, if you see this, please pay someone who knows what they're doing to rebuild it.
I like the Indy app, but it could be much better. Allow select of more then 1 team to follow. Allow up to 3 favorite drivers that a fan can follow. Fans should be able to watch some practices and Q without having to purchase Peacock when they already pay too much for cable.
Great app, always works so I know what's going on, but stop turning notifications back on automatically! I don't have the luxury of watching races live all the time, I don't want spoilers, so I have all notifications turned off. Every time there is an update, you turn them back on. Knock it off!
How is it that I get a notification telling me the starting grid is set then open the app and it hasn't update? This app, while containing good info is terribly slow, and takes an age to update.
Downloaded app, created account, verified email, attempted to sign in multple times perhaps 6-8 times, says no user account found. App does not work for me.
I've been disappointed with the live content on the app. If there were a alternative for good live coverage for free I'd use it over this. Unfortunately this is all there is other than NBC Sports and Peacock's pay service that are even worse and require you to be a cable or internet subscriber.
The presentation does not format properly on my new phone. Also Team Penske DOES have drivers!
The scanner & sound volume needs to be improved. Sound level too low some days and cannot be heard well even at full volume. The Scan All function doesn't identify which team is talking and should allow you to hold on a channel (team) just like a real scanner. This is an excellent tool and I would watch most races in real-time just for the radio chatter if these issues were addressed. Otherwise it's easier to just DVR the race & Ffwd thru commercials.
Great app for following and watching the races. I really enjoy watching the different onboard views during the race!
Now you have to sign in..so much for progress and ease of use. Please add something else to make it MORE user unfriendly. I'll use it less as if they care.
To get live content yo must sign into your account, however an error message comes up "You must be logged into Chrome". I'm on a Chromebook, you are alaways signed into chrome. Please fix, thank you.
It's good most of the time expect at the Grand Prix of Portland where it was completely worthless while watching in the stands. The Verizon service was so horrible that it barely played. It's also about 1 or 2 minutes behind real life when it actually worked well during the practice sessions.
I have been using this app for about 3 years and never had any problems. Most or all the content is free unlike other apps like Nascar, NFL, etc. Its a simple, easily accessible layout.
Anytime there's practice or a race Nothing loads but it's fine any other time
Lots of nice features (being able to follow multiple drivers and teams is smart) and information is well presented. Needs a "no spoilers" option for the notifications though! I don't necessarily want to turn off all news, but I also don't want the 500 pole position spoiled for me either...
The car and network audio levels are so low I can barely hear them. I have the volume on my phone as high as it will go. Very frustrating! Also frustrating, just showed tried to update this app and it just spins and spins. No servers available?
notifications ruin this app. it could be really great. however I have turned off notifications for everything except "race start" and I still get 5 popups per weekend. worst off, the popups include spoilers. so, now I'll turn off all notifications and then undoubtedly forget to ever open the app at all.
Live event streaming did not work well at St Pete, had to stop using it.
The app does not work properly on a Chromebook. It will not allow a sign-in and says Google Chrome needs to be installed. Chrome is not only installed, it's the only browser on this OS. I have no ability to access live audio or any other online features.
not happy with the removal of the driver audio feeds. Last year you could get live driver audio real time. It is good to be able to see real time car stats and lap times and speed of your favorite driver; but why would you remove the ability to hear your favorite driver or any driver race audio? I think 3 stars is generous give users the option to get those driver feeds and you earn a solid 5 stars. nothing on the app is any better than the network broadcast.
The app is quite nice and I'm enjoying all the features. My one complaint is the requirement for the Chrome browser to log in. I don't understand why this isn't possible with a browser that is already installed. My browser of choice is not Chrome and I'd prefer not to have a second browser installed just for this app.
In car audio volume is too low (phone volume highest, but have to lut phone almost to my ear to hear) and broken transmissions (only hear every other word). i do like the timing is much closer to TV.
This really isn't a great app for following Indy Racing but it's so you've got. It don't come close to the F1 apps with news coverage and information and basically is just a race weekend lite app at best. If your driver isn't in the top 3 of anything that weekend, you're not going to get and information about them. It needs an upgrade!
Pretty good app for me. I haven't tested out the live streaming and radio so I can't help you there, but for me who doesn't have an account, I like it. The only thing I don't like is that you can't star multiple drivers and multiple teams. I want to be able to star the number 2, 3, 12, and 48 in the indycar series. The next update should include that because I think many indycar fans like multiple drivers and can't decide on one.
