One star off for two reasons. There seems to be a lack of variety in almost every aspect except vocabulary, and the style is just a bit too... baby-ish. It would be much appreciated if you added multiple people saying the characters and words instead of us having to hear the same voice say the same thinng in the same way every time. Also maybe different types of levels, like maybe a timed "maze" in which letters are scattered, and you must get to the letters in the correct order to match a pic

It's a great way to jumpstart vocabulary. You can change the speed in the settings to force yourself to be faster, there are options to choose to learn with roumaji, kana, or kanji, and it's quite enjoyable. The biggest problem I have is that there aren't more words. Do be aware that this is only really a vocabulary supplement, the app doesnt include any sentences or grammar.

I really like this app! The only irritating things are the "comets" drop far too slowly, more often than not I have to let it run for a while before starting otherwise I can't see the relevant options, and all too often you have to be extremely careful about where you're clicking on the screen because it will either select the wrong answer or sends you back to the selection screen halfway through, otherwise it's worth downloading 😊

I've tried many ways to learn Japanese. And living in a rural area with very little signal Duolingo wasn't really working because of my lack of stable internet. This app is perfect seeing as it's offline. I've only just started but I sense I'm going to enjoy this app quite a lot. Edit: changing from 5 stars to 4 stars simply because the pause button ingame is useless. It doesn't pause, it exits to main menu, and it does not resume. So you cannot pause, you can only start over.

After playing this a while, I've decided to drop my rating from a 4 to a 3. The good points are: the game is pretty, and I think the method it uses is fantastic for memorization. The frustrating part is that it only has (estimate) 180 vocabulary words to learn. Also there were no verbs from what I saw. To be truly helpful, I think it would need to be at least 2,000 words and should include verbs. That said, if you don't know those 180 beginner vocab words yet, this will teach them to you.

definitely enjoyable and allows you to replay levels to get a better understanding of each part you learn. I'm still learning the numbers and it's such a fun way to learn, keep up the great work to such a well executed game, it's great for all ages. the default colour, isn't cutesy and bright to fit just for kids, it gives off a cool vibe. it may feel a little messy at first since the numbers and so on come at you randomly, but that only allows for a better learning experience in my mind.

Its surprisingly good at helping me remember everything, since I have bad memory learning a language can be hard, but this app helps me understand and I also kinda like the challenge of the faster ones, because it really makes me think. But the only bad thing is, is you have to have headphones, but you probably need them if you want the correct pronunciation. It's an amazing app, coming from someone twitch bad memory!! :) love it 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Fantatic, simple, and stylish. Ads are short and unobtrusive. So many apps get the wrong idea how to teach; this one gets it right! One suggestion for improvement: When first introducing a new word, I'd like it to also display the romaji. Because sometimes I need to see how an unfamiliar word is spelled to be sure I heard it correctly. Otherwise, app is flawless.

Fun app. Great speed for newbies without too much repetition for maximum memory retention. Excellent voiceover that is easily understandable. The only critique I have is that all words are written in English and not in the Japanese Hiragana or Katakana. Otherwise, this is perfect for beginners and those curious about the Japanese language and culture.

This app is good for beginners to learn very basic vocabulary. It is sorted nicely into different categories (numbers, countries, animals, etc.). But there is not much room for growth. Even someone with no Japanese language knowledge could easily get through the content of this app after a week of use. It is a great base, but needs more content to work with. It also needs a way to get past basic levels if you have a higher vocabulary to begin with.

It's exactly how it discribes itself, a game to help you learn Japanese. The game is you click on objects as they fall, which then prompts a question. It will either ask verbally or written out and then you have to choose the correct definition. If you choose wrong or take too long, you lose a star. You unlock levels as you play. All an all it's simple and effective to hello improve your Japanese vocab.

Really simple and beautiful design, easy to use and understand. Good introduction to Japanese vocabulary building. My favorite part is that there's a list of all the words in each level so I can review what I've learned and focus on the few words I have trouble with. I hope the developers continue to grow the vocabulary and possibly add grammar and other skills to learn the Japanese language well.

The lack of English works so well, especially in a non romaji setting. It could do with other gamemodes than asteroids, like ones where you can be more analytical. Maybe some word games like crosswords and scrabble. It does teach vocabulary, but not grammar. If it were to teach grammar, it would be significantly harder to make that without English, but it would be necessary, lest it just be another failure. There seems to be a liberal amount of ads sprinkled in, but nothing beats being offline.

I absolutely love this app, it's easy to use and has a great UI. I love the simplicity and how they don't try to overwhelm you. Over all I think it's one of the best for very young/new beginners or people who just want to learn without any need of filler between levels. The game doesn't force you to need ads so it's honestly an offline game. I think this this app is really helpful for learning the very basics, but could use some more advanced levels that teach in sentences that you would use IRL

Very simple and easy to use. Clever, fun way to memorize nouns by formatting it as a game in which you want to get 3 stars in every "level". You go at your own pace, which is helpful since some people are actually hindered by deadlines. Super educational and useful app with a minimalistic, yet vibrant UI. The whole design is clean and polished to make one pocket sized tool for learning Romaji.

One of the best apps I have ever found to learn japanese! It's constant repetition of things helps with memory so i really like because i tend to forget languages rather easily. The only thing that bothers is the dark colours and neon graphics. I would have preferred it if the colours were lighter and had cuter graphics. But other than that it's perfect and I highly recommend this app!!

I have tried many language learning apps and this one was by far the best, easiest, and fastest. Duolingo is SO overrated because not only does it take forever to make any progress/learn actual words, the content is all over the place and makes it easy to forget. With Infinite Japanese, the content is sorted into quick, efficient levels (ex. numbers, colors, animals). After half an hour of play, I have already memorized numbers 0-10 (rei, ichi, ni, san, yon, go, roku, nana, kyu, hachi, ju)+.

This helpes so much (for basic vocabulary)! I have a friend who moved to Japan and I've been leaning Japanese ever since to ease communications and this app has really helped me learn (when it was too late in the day to bug my friend). However, I wouldn't really recommend to advanced speakers as, as I mentioned before, this app is pretty basic.

Amb. S. Mar 26, 2020

The ads don't work properly (pressing backspace sends you to the select screen, which is a temporary fix fyi since the ads are only at the end of a run) BUT the app is super fun to use, and pretty easy to get used to! Really enjoying this. It requires sound for some of the questions and not others.

This is a fun, quick, and efficient way to learn Japanese vocabulary across many topics. It's a simple game that offers pictures when introducing new words, to help you understand it quicker. It also pronounces the words, so you know how to say them as well. I would highly recommend this for people who need something more engaging than just simple flashcards or a long list of vocabulary. This app will help you learn more words, and you will enjoy learning them.

This app is very simple and easy! Not at all complex. It's fun and all you have to do is memorize whatever it is that you're studying. All you're doing is learning how the Japanese word appears in English and Romaji. The pronunciation of the said word is also included. A big factor is that you can also unlock new challenging difficulty modes and more categories. Check it out! 😉

Very nice for rapid practice of some cross-lingually basic vocabulary in Japanese. The word selection is not very Japanese-specific. I appreciate the kanji mode and the difficulty levels. I would like an option to have both kanji and pronunciation tests at the same time, and perhaps even tests matching kanji to kana. I appreciate the no-audio mode, too.

Good so far, and pretty basic, but charming while educational. Edit: lowered to 3 stars due to a bug that keeps the app frozen on a dark screen upon launch. I tried both killing the app and restarting the phone. I look forward to being able to use it again, as I still believe it's wonderful.

This app uses gamification as a way to learn Japanese. It's very easy and intuitive very casual, it's fun and doesn't make u feel overwhelmed with new content. Adds are a little bit anoying but for a free app that teach you a new language I think it's ok and worthy. also you can choose the way and speed you wanna learn. I recommended this app as an extra tool to learn Japanese but not as a primary one. it's more like a complement for other apps when you feel overwhelmed but wanna keep going

This is good for beginners like me, didn't have a problem with it at all, instructions are clear and overall is fun and quick to learn basic nouns such as animals, numbers, I didn't get too far yet, I'll write an update when I finish it. Very good for practicing :), loved the color theme too😁💕! Edit: Recommend researching some nouns though.

I highly recommend that you get this app if you are a beginner. you might want to memorize all the hiragana and katakana first if being able to read Japanese is important to you, then set it to kana. it really does help a lot with word recognition, which will get you reading a lot faster bit by bit. there is also a very helpful kanji setting. watch one simple ad and get no more all day, and it's free. now you can't say fairer than that, can you?

Well I've been studying Hiragana and Katakana for a while but I've reached a point where the learning curve came to a boring pace because I was trying to write the various letters but I wasn't really learning any words, until I found this app. It shows you basic words in the beginning that I can follow with my basic level and it is more fun than just searching for the words myself in a dictionary. It does not have a lot of ads either which is nice, but I might consider buying the full version.

I've only played for a very little time still only up to number five which I can't remember what it is now I'll give a more detailed and it better be you later but so far I like it although an ad that changing every stage is kind of a pain but I can deal with it that's why there is a yon rating. updated I had one issue but I think it might have been self done I was all the way through vegetables and I set the phone down and when I came back to it almost starts were gone and I had to start back ov

Very cute game that helps develop your ability to sight read and recall information quickly. I appreciate that you can toggle between romaji, kana, and kanji in the settings. I have not unlocked all of the categories yet, but it's a nice game to play when you want to review vocab and only have a few minutes to do so. It feels more fun and interactive than just plain old flash cards. Very fun!

It's a game that tried to teach you to speak and understand Japanese. It is very aesthetically pleasing. Compared to other Japanese language teaching apps/games this one seems to stick. So far I'm just learning pronunciations, once I finished all the lessons and am confident I can remember it all I'll go back with kana and kanji. I think other apps try to through too many foreign things at once at you so you are overwhelmed. I can't wait to try other languages by the developer!
