I love this game for the elegantly simple and infinitely scalable geometric graphics alone. Plenty of (if not too many) tower types to choose from and a vast upgrade tree. One cannot "beat" a game that's permanently in survival mode, but I played until I maxed out the upgrade tree and got over 1000 levels on every map. (On a side note, I did try the sequel game, but found it too busy, with the introduction of "sciences," or whatever they call it.)
I love the game. It's incredibly fun and I spend way too much time playing. That aside, I'm a little confused as to why the towers don't always shoot at the target their set to (first, strongest, weak) I haven't noticed it on all levels but it's really annoying and it mainly affects some of the higher levels. If the towers would always shoot at the target their set to, this game would be 5 stars.
Overall love the feel and of the game. My biggest issue is that the way towers gain experience is severely flawed. Because of the way it works, certain towers gain experience very slowly (blast, venom, etc.) while others gain no experience at all (freezing tower which deals no damage). I think the experience system needs to be reworked so that each tower gains experience at a different rate.
the game is a good construction. I've enjoyed it plenty since I started. But the fact is, it doesn't lice up to its true potential. The furthest I've made it on any map has been with 4 Air towers and the rest Base towers. versatility doesn't pay off. the other towers need to be stronger and possibly cheaper, the upgrade trees should be far longer, and there need to be more maps. It'd also be great if there were more stats available, like DPS. This game can be better, with very little effort.
Very solid tower defense. I'm worried the developer isn't getting paid enough for the game, because there don't seem to be ads or anything... The upgrades tree is a bit large and long, but the towers all feel unique and balanced. One bug is when I have 200 multishot towers on screen zooming in and out tends to freeze the game. Be a good one to fix.
love this game so so SO much. the best tower defense on my phone and I don't see why I'll delete it, small file size. infinite gameplay. love the variety of towers and upgrades. very balanced. there are no ads and no one asks for money (which these guys deserve let's face it, someone worked hard on this) a great free offline TD. LOVE the map editor mode...thats what really makes it good, wish the tiles were faster to place. how can it get better..? I'll find out in infinitode 2 I guess!
The game design/app itself is very smooth. It's a fairly unique tower defense game. The gameplay is repetitive, and the upgrades become tedious. It's a lot of grinding, which is fairly standard for this type of game. That said, the more I play, the more I enjoy it. It's hard to find guides for this game now; they're all for Infinitode 2. Starting out took a lot of trial and error, perhaps more than the average person would commit. Enough to keep me interested.
An amazing example of what Tower Defense games should be. Very deep gameplay with solid mechanics and upgrade tree (think redwood). Graphics are very well done in a minimalistic style that easily conveys whats happening on the field. The ability to collect map tiles throughout matches and then create user maps is a great addition for replayability! Most of the time I play while listening to other music; so I will not critique, but I have no problem assuming its just as great!
The game is very engaging and does not indulge in cheap time limiting like 99% of other free strategy games. The towers could be a little bit better designed (splash is ridiculously useless). Also the upgrades later on become much harder to afford because the rewards for destroying enemies don't scale up too evenly. Nothing a bit of math can't fix.
Excellent game, well designed, intuitive controls, common sense layout. Fun, very fun - and if your a perfectionist like me it drags you deep. Suggestions: 1) Tile creation for a cost, 2) Tile bonus modification eg. Removing and adding different types of bonuses for a cost 3) The ability to create walking paths on your path tiles which would allow for side by side paths and intertwining designs that currently only split the mobs equally.
Decent TD with good upgradeability and replayability. My main complaint is that when you speed up the game, enemies tend to get much further/towers are less efficient. Considering no lag is noticed I don't feel this should be needed.. A simple frame increase would be enough (basically play the game at max speed device can handle if 4x isn't possible)
Really like the game but the grind is ridiculous. I'm pretty good at tower defense, I just did the math and if I paid 1 actual dollar it would save me 5.5 hours of replaying the same first few levels for tower upgrades. This amount of game cash would easily be spent on just a few in game upgrades or levels and then it would be back work. Essentially you need to pay to make any real progress in the game. It's a shame cause it would be a great game if they just reward you with more in game money
this is one of the best tower defense games i have ever played! its all about strategy, skill and speed. very simplistic, but neat and effective graphics. its like TD in arcade mode. as a suggestion to the developer, adding heroes might be cool too - but is not really necessary.
It is basically too hard to play in the beginning. I can see that it gets more balanced when you get a lot further into the game but right now it is too hard; you don't get enough money to defend yourself and that won't be a problem if you upgrade a lot but you lose motivation to play the game if it basically the same thing over and over again. All the towers aren't balanced either; half of the towers are basically useless in high waves or even in the beginning. There need to be some kind of balance when it comes to towers, waves and money. I want to be able to feel the progress I'm doing and not just the same thing over and over again, meaning that I don't want to get to high waves knowing that I don't get enough money to be able to change the output of my endgame
Very good tower defense. Lots of towers to choose from and a bunch of enemy types. Tons of upgrades. Smooth gameplay. Simple, but effective and colorful graphics. No need to pay to play, but I'd encourage you to. If you get the prize doubler, you will be able to expand faster and it says "thank you" to the developer who obviously spent a lot of time on this game. If you are a fan of tower defense, I think you'll enjoy this. I've played a lot of them and think this one is worth your time to try.
it is so grindy, and barely any of the towers are useful/worth it except basic, air, Tesla if you're feisty. the others have their cost scale so sharply (both in game and in the unlock new features screen) -- and are still less deadly than a basic tower upgraded to with the same amount of money. i consistently get further with just basic and air (no sniper!) than i do when i try and get a varied tower loadout. unbalanced.
It's pretty fun little time waster it is a shame the game is marred by two glaring problems those being that ai targeting is broken on split path maps. Towers often do not target the enemy that it should ideally. Meaning the enemy you think would be the first target might actually be third and get through your defences unharmed or lead to inefficient DPS on minigun. Also the bang for your buck is pretty bad on every tower besides minigun and basic tower. Expensive towers like the rocket should do more damage. And should get more out of upgrades to encourage use. Permanent upgrade tree is fun but makes the game feel a little grindy which is not entirely a bad thing. If the two problems I mentioned get fixed I'd give it a 5.
best free td game I have found in the playstore. lots of towers and upgrades. tons of Information on stats. level editor. simple concept game that's challenging and fun no need to pay. I got to level 900 without having even half of the upgrades. I don't like to pay for games but these guys deserve it and make a cheap person like me want to donate. how else will they make infinitode 2.0! if you want a free endless tower defense game then look no further.
Super fast loading, excellent game mechanics, lots of upgrades. Love it! Update: still love it, have some suggestions for which I'll happily throw a few dollars the dev's way: - Super fast mode, maybe without screen rendering - Single tap of individual tower upgrades option - Lock tower upgrade level for single upgrade when pressing fast upgrade - Sort field abilities with AND instead of OR
Really want to love this game but the interface is tiny and the color choices are really unreadable. Some of the tower definitions are tiny dark grey text on a black background. Please consider a high contrast mode and/or larger font sizes for some of the pop-up menus
Super fun. Upgrades galore with a ton of replay ability. The only reason I gave this a 4 in tear of 5 is because the upgrades start coming a lot slower and are way more hard to get than they could be. Other than that very minor balance issue (that infinitnode 2 fixed) this is a great title :)
It was fun overall. But after I lost at wave 200-ish on level one, I decided I didn't want to relive my experience of needing to babysit the upgrading of my towers. While the graphics are understandably simple, I'd prefer if there were changes of scenery as waves increased in difficulty.
I really love how easy and fair this game is, even the microtransactions are very reasonably priced, But you don't even need them at all to progress. I also love how the game is endless until you are defeated, it all only gets easier in custom maps. This has gotten pretty addictive with all the custom map ideas I get!
No auto-upgrade function in battle. There should be an option where towers can be automatically upgraded on their own. The cpu will randomly upgrade one tower when there's enough coins. This makes the game less stressful. I place towers, relax and watch the battle all the way.
Great tower defense game for casual gamers. It helps that you can leave and pick back up in the middle of the game if you're on the go. There's a rewarding sense of achievement the longer you play both in the leveling up of towers as well as the opening of new boards.
There is a bug in My map gameplay, I made a big map and sometimes some turrets didnt fire, at all, like i know some turrets are unable to shoot at some enemy but that is not the case, and I lost the game pretty soon, unless i exit the match and resume again, which I couldnt do all the time (my custom matchs oftens last 20-30 hours at max speed and I left them afk most the times). Beside that, this game is awesome, love it, pls add more maps, thank you
