Inflation Calculator 1776-now

Does what it promises with an easy and functional interface. The lack of ads is greatly appreciated! I use it when watching old movies - whenever a guy in 1930s or 40s talks about $500 or $1000 like it's a huge amount, I always want to know how huge it must have been!

While fine for a general idea, it isn't the most accurate. Having tested it against known inflation amounts, it seems to be about 5% off. Having said that, this is a good app for getting a general idea of inflation, and it works great. I would recommend this app. Note: I did use a currency converter to adjust from GBP to USD, then into the inflation calculator in some of my tests.

Simple and elegant interface, does exactly what it says. No ads, love it. When my grandparents complain about how no one wants to buy a house and raise a family these days, I can show them how much cheaper houses were and how much higher minimum wage was. Gives some perspective on how unattainable those previously achievable milestones of life are now today.

Use often when reviewing historical data. Helpful in understanding buying power in different eras. Easy to use and well designed.

Enjoyable and informative...especially useful when watching old movies & TV shows. You can clearly see why Ward Cleaver got so upset when The Beaver broke his $25.oo camera...it would have cost $223 & change in today's money!

Updated 2/3/2020: Thanks again for updating! Thanks to the developer for the annual updates. Others have abandoned their app after development is over.

I've often used this app for a few years. I never have had ANY negative issues...not one. Thank you Inflation Calculator creators.

Does exactly what it says it is supposed to do. Nothing more, nothing less. I wish more apps did this.

This is very informative and cool to see the difference in how money has changed since then. Also to think about how much the Dollar went back then compared today.

I wonder if this app updates to factor in the up to 6.8 % inflation rate we are seeing now.

Perfect and accurate

Tired of hearing old men tell me I have it easy making 25 an hour, when they used to make 12 an hour in the 80's, Im like B*t*ch! thats like over 35 an hour now a days!!!

Funny to see how the value of the mighty dollar has changed. I've been told by older people how they could buy so much more in their day than today for the same amount of money.

Any updates to accomodate the year 2022?
