The latest update has broken the game on my pixel 5a. The only way to load the game successfully is to turn off all internet connectivity. Especially frustrating considering that I have never desired an update to this game and would be happy if I could play the original. Further more I have zero need of any feature of this game that requires an Internet connection.

Gotta fix the weekly tournaments, players with a majority of the board can't move on to the next game when there's a stalemate unless the Forfeit the game which they then lose. Gotta fix that.

It eventually slows down and then crashes. I used to love this game, but now I can't even use it anymore because it crashes every single time I try and play it.

Please put it back

I used to play this game at least once every day. I remember a few weeks ago thinking I would love it if they added some customization and at least let us choose the player color. Then they changed the UI entirely and honestly it ruins the game for me and clearly many others. This was my favorite mobile game, and now I find myself not even wanting to play it. Yes, they added some new options to tweak the look, but what we need is the option to return the graphics to classic mode. Simple as that.

It used to be easy to see which cells were touching, and whether they were 8 or 12 size. Now there's a lot of pointless lines between cells, and subsequently, they're less easy to read at a glance. The old format was easy, this new appearance is the opposite of simplifying things, and requires a lot of squinting and carefully looking at cells. Instead of being fun, it's just annoying work.

Nice game, though the new graphics look ugly as hell and actually hinder gameplay. Used to play this game a ton and I loved the graphics the game had before. Cells as well as how many points they have, were easy to see from a glance allowing for more time to focus on strategy. Now the game looks like some garbage ripped directly from the early 2000s. The graphics are an eye strain, hindering seeing what cells have how many points. Other than that game is cool, would've landed an easy 5 stars.

Great game love playing it, but if I'm on an XL or larger level whilst in daily or weekly tournament I have issues. Once it's the AI turn it just lag and then decides to just stop. Most the time I can't finish the level and have to forfeit the match, which is very annoying.

I'm totally addicted to this game. It took me two games to get used to the new look. I like that i can now see all the cell counts at all zoom scales, but what's the point of strategy mode? Some labels on the game menu would be nice. I'm not sure if the ai was reengineered, but the Hunters seem easier and the Masters seem harder where i never win the chance ratios. Tournaments stopped being fun. There are too many small, dark, and crowded boards, which are based on luck, not skill.

I absolutely love the simple, yet entertaining concept of this strategic game, BUT I have an issue with tournament mode: sometimes when I win, the match is counted as lost. It happened to me maybe 2 or 3 times. Fix it pls. Also, I'd suggest adding the option to choose a map in custom game mode. Some of the community-crafted maps in weekly tournaments are very interesting and I'd love to replay them.

Figured out that color blind mode helps, but I just can't get used to the change. This update is not for me. Review update: while the extra color settings help a little bit, the problem is that there's too much visual clutter. I'm making mistakes that I wouldn't have before because it's hard to see the lines between cells, sometimes. Sorry, but the classic version was better for its simplicity.

A very good game, however I wish it could be played offline. Trying to start the game while in airplane mode (like when you're on an hours-long flight and just wanna play your favorite game) will result in the loading screen and nothing but the loading screen. Disappointing, seeing as the game has a single player mode and shouldn't require internet just to play a quick match vs the (very competent) AI. Make it offline-capable and you've got five stars.

Not a big fan of the new design - detracts from the game rather than adds to it imo. Bigger issue is since the update the game is buggy and unplayable. Other than that. Really enjoyable game that I've played for ages so I appreciate the effort. Keep it up. Edit: being able to turn down the visuals is a big plus. Game runs fine now and isn't as harsh on my eyes.

This is a really neat game, I can only recommend it! I really enjoyed playing it, but I just didn't feel like coming back to it after I beat the hardest bot (there's multiplayer though). It provides you some time spent having fun while playing this. Even if it might be short, until you just barely see space for improvement, it feels really rewarding how you discover the mechanics (defense and offense mostly). Also, had no problem with ads. Only discrete amounts.

I like the concept of the game, but the weekly tournament difficulty is absurd. The enemies always start with more than you or in better positions on the maps. It's ridiculous. Most, usually all, of the other players I see in the tournaments have vastly more loses than wins. There's definitely something off with the difficulty. However, I do enjoy the single player portion as you can customize the AIs individually. I'd recommend the single player part, and maybe the daily tournament.

I love this game, lot of time spent doing tournaments and such. Some key changes I would love to see though. 1. Green and Blue are entirely too close in color, and it's hard to make out the difference. Change that for sure. 2. Any time I am in a tournament round with only a single other opponent, may as well quit. CP will win as they go second and have more starting units than you do. They always push right too the player as well. 3. Seems like a bit of a balance issue everywhere....

I've played almost 6k matches so it's safe to say this game has kept my interest. The only way to win tournaments is to watch ads and sometimes those ads have the ability to auto direct you to the app store without user input, which I find outrageous. Also the game constantly freezes my phone, sometimes causing a glitch that loses me the game. Overall a great game with some implementation issues that cause a lot of pain.

I have downloaded this app several times over the years, and find myself having the same frustrations every time. I've heard that there are two types of difficulty models in backgammon: program a really smart AI, or Just increase its likelihood to roll doubles. The number of times I've had a cell with 4 lose to my opponents 3 (and advances 2) makes me want to throw my phone. The top AI isnt smarter, it just gets more power to start with. I wish the difficulty was based on strategy/skill.

I love this game and the strategy behind it, when it works. But during tournaments I get to the point of wanting to delete this game, when every single time the enemy manages to somehow overwhelm my points that have higher numbers then they do, and then when I try to take back what I lost, still with higher numbers, 9/10 I lose my bigger force and still don't manage to take it back, even when the enemy constantly wins against high number forces, and magically breaks through where I have plenty.

Edit: changed rating from 2-4 due to a quick response from the developers. Incredible game, still fascinated by the strategy after years of playing. I can't go back to a 5 stars just yet because there is still something a little dizzying about the graphics. With cell backgrounds set to Never and cell lines set to None, it is useable. Thanks devs for getting this fix out so fast!

Started out great, fun to play, loved the daily & weekly tournaments. Then things changed and the tournament games got so much harder, starting you off with far lower counts than your opponents, and generally making it impossible to win. Suddenly, the game was no longer fun, just frustrating and infuriating. That's why I uninstalled it.

Great concept, that if impoved could be the best game ever. As it is however, with little or no improvement over time, currently mostly unplayable because of some server error, it gets a bit boring and frustrating to play. I installed/uninstalled it a dozen of times over the years but I think I am over it. Over and out. Too bad.

The new design is horrible with all the glitter and nonsense, it was very pleasing when the design was simpler now it ruins the experience. The old design is still better, as well as the old default logo. There was no need to change anything appart from the choice of colour of players. The game is still ruined.

So this game has a very interesting concept. I haven't seen any similar games in the store. However, at the beginning it really doesn't go over how to play so you have to learn as you go. Also, I've made a few mistakes because I double tapped to end my turn and it would skip my next turn. It does have a multiplayer option though, so that is cool.

Dear Teremok, What have you done!?! I've played this game daily for over a year. The new design is appalling. The screen is cluttered, the cells are difficult to read and tell if they are full, empty etc. etc. Can we have a different "theme" of the old design? Please. P.s. the game still hangs on large maps - this is particularly annoying on weekly challenges.
