As someone with recent Celiac, it's very hard to adjust to watching everything you eat. I've never had to do this before and sometimes food labels will hide ingredients or make it difficult to understand If I can eat something. This app makes my trips to the store or rather anywhere I am easy to find out if I can eat something without taking 10 min to read through the ingredients list everytime. Thank you for making this kind of an app! I really appreciate it. :)

I'd like the option to add a note to the "results" feature or flag specific ingredients. Confectioner's glaze isn't vegan, but it isn't caught by the filter and I want to specify in my report which ingredients I'm talking about when i say a product isn't vegan. Overall though, I understand that a comprehensive database like this is difficult to perfect and it's already been very useful to me. Building the database and keeping an eye out for filtering errors only makes it better :)

Can't use any of the premium filters. Don't see any option to enable them and I think it's quite ridiculous they're locked for some reason. Edit: I have the latest version and there is no message displaying. Your app is broken. The premium filters don't stay on and there is no way to keep them on. Next time actually read the review instead of wasting people's time. I would rate negative stars if it were possible.

Seems this app only reads the ingredient list and stops there. I can do that without an app. If a package isn't identified as being Gluten Free, there is usually a reason, such as cross contamination or ingredients not listed. As I took a photo of the ingredient list, I thought I must be incorrectly using the app. Maybe, I'm just missing something.

Overall good app, matches well with foods to tell me which have allergens in them, unless they don't have them in the system in which case you can add the ingredients. The scanner is mostly good but it depends on your camera quality and lighting in the area whether or not it reads the barcode well. Mine works great but mom has a lower quality camera so she struggles sometimes.

So far this app is great and helpful. I would like an option to pay for premium and remove ads and either an option to scan the front of a product so you don't have to pick up something in the store and/or a shortcut for search in the homepage of the app.

I think the idea for this app is great, however everything I have scanned does not come up, so it would be great if the app had a camera option, to scan the ingredients list straight away instead of going through the process of scanning the barcode and it not working.

So far every barcode I've put in the app has asked me to enter the ingredients. I thought it was going to tell me the ingredients (so I wouldn't have to struggle with the tiny print on the packets). Everyday food like soup, and baked beans in week known brands - the app is asking me to type in ingredient list, and nutrition panel. App refuses to accept product name "Barley +" it keeps putting a space instead of plus sign. App needs to set default units - kilojoules instead of calories

Nice app which is quite easy to use. Database seems to be well populated. Like all free apps there are annoying pop up adds, I would be happy for a premium version paid for with no adds but this does not seem to be an option which is a pitty.

Very beautiful app, that really does what it has to do. There are many different ingredients that you can turn on and off. When some product is missing it extracts ingredients from picture. Thank you.

So far I just started using the app and really like the simplicity and ease of use! I am self diagnosed as having Alpha-Gal Allergy (have doc appointment coming up to get confirmation) and it can be tricky to avoid red meat and dairy. This app is great because I can choose specific meats and dairy products to avoid and see products in database or quickly scan ingredient list. As more people use it the database will grow, so I will definitely recommend to my other allergy friends

Works as expected, a lot of ingredients to choose from. Beautiful drawings. It translates the ingredients to English and this helps a lot when shopping in foreign countries! Amazing!

I've tried a few other apps and so far this one has a much more user-friendly and helpful experience in terms of adding bar codes that are not in the database. I'm very impressed that the fats category had been added since I gave this app a four star review based on this missing category not long ago. The developers are really trying to make a change with this app and are very receptive to advice and quick to respond. Five stars well deserved. Keep it up!

I love this app. I PAID for a gf scanner that never works or doesn't recognize the brand. This one is amazing. There are so many different ways to research the ingredients. Kudos. There are ads but well worth it for such a great scanner.

I just got this app and ran it over some things in my kitchen. So far so good. It has missed soybeans as an ingredient when I have avoid soybean oil checked. They don't have an avoid soy option which would be ideal. And it read a daiya gd/df/sf pizza as having real cheese. But overall great so far. I'd much rather get a notification that there's something in it when there isn't so I can double check rather than it miss things.

This app is very easy to use. I have been looking for something to help me scan foods as I shop. This is very quick and easy. Even when the item isn't listed, you can take a picture of the ingredients and it will extract the list of ingredients in a few seconds to tell you if it is gluten free or not. I love it so far.

It says "You can combine them with specific ingredients that you would like to avoid." I need to avoid all stimulants, and would pay to add this feature. When I check caffeine as something to avoid, it doesn't warn me that the product has green tea or chocolate in it.

Scanned Tim Tams, Lindt chocolate and came up with add ingredients! Cadburys chocolate it wanted me to take a photo of the ingredients. I am guessing this app is no good for Australia? I downloaded based on great reviews, shame it is no good for me. Good luck, sounds great - star rating is no reflection on app, maybe there should be something to say what region it is suited for?

I love this app as I just found out I have food allergies! However, I noticed under vegetables there isn't an option for corn and corn byproducts. Is there any way this could be added? It is my most sensitive allergy. Great app!

So far so good, as a person who is lactose intolerant i usually have to be pretty careful of what foods I consume dairy wise. This has been rather helpful in figuring out if the food contains it or not. Luckily if the item isnt there you can add it in yourself.

Chr. C. Jan 3, 2022

Just tired on a few items, most branded items work automatically. Own brand items you scan the ingredients and it figures it out for you. Very good app if you need Gluten free.

Oma. D. L. Jan 4, 2022

Thus app is fantastic, it gives me the reassurance that is needed to purchase safe cruelty free consumer products. I'm pretty aware of ingredients this reinforces to make sure ingredient list had not changed. Thank you

Hmm, you have eggs in with dairy. This doesn't give me confidence. I know this is for allergies etc. But if you can't get the food groups correct, that's not a good start.

Sar. S. Feb 4, 2022

Great idea, but I need to filter more than the allergens listed. Coriander and Cilantro (same plant, I'm aware) are something I need to remove when cooking for my whole family.

Kat. F. H. Apr 5, 2021

It is really user-friendly, I just wish it had a "sorbitol" filter. Is this possible, please? Yes, please. Most sweeteners are fine, but sorbitol and fructose are difficult for some people to process.

Oo. 9. Feb 23, 2022

I love this app however it works 50% of the time which keeps me in the store literally 2 hours for dinner search due to chronic IBS. spoonful app is great I'd pay for it but can't download

Sar. M. Jan 23, 2021

I downloaded this app so I could easily shop for my mother, who recently found out she is gluten intolerant. It asks me to add quite a few items, but that's ok as it's building the database. The only thing stopping me from giving this app 5 stars is the absence of an MSG free option. Since I'm sensitive to MSG an app like this would be incredibly helpful.
