I paid $10 for the old app and now they're making me download a new app which requires an annual fee?? No thank you. I want to sync using a 3rd party task app (because why would I pay for an informant sync account when they don't even offer a PC app??) without having to pay an annual fee. Informant was by far the best calendar/task app with the wide range of widgets and customizability. They're forcing me to look for other apps.

Used to be great years ago on my Blackberry. But now the interface and functionality is sadly lacking compared to the IOS version. The alarms have not worked properly for a long time. The notes have a horrible interface! Left the beta program due to lack of development compared to IOS version. Uninstalled. Will not look back. Don't waste your time on this app!

I've been using this app for years and years now; ever since Windows Mobile to be exact. It really is a great agenda and I've watched it further develop into the Android version and see it become to what it is now. The agenda has all the possibilities and features you would expect from a organizer and probably much more; but frankly I'm not even using Informant in its full potential; it is way too much for me. Next to that, it's working great with Outlook, and synchronizing with each other through the app "Informant Sync for Outlook", is working like a charm. Now, should there ever be a problem with the app or should you experience any synchronizing issues, rest assured: Informant's help-desk is friendly, patient, secure and very willing to help you with your problem, doing everything they can to help you out. They won't rest until the problem is solved or even go beyond that point. I'm talking personal experience here. So, should you ever doubt trying to start working with Informant or not, I just gave you guys two very good reasons to convince you there's no reason for any doubt whatsoever. Cheers! Robert. Ive been using this app for years and I love the customization. I love the display that shows you a whole month and also a full listing of what you have on the same screen. I love how simply it links to other calendars. The settings take a minute to figure out, but once you have it, you can tweak however you'd like. Great work devs!

Used PI for many years, and loved it. I understand PI needing to move on to newer versions, and not update this version, and I accept that. BUT - - I PAID FOR THIS APP. I should be able to open my calendar without having to click that I "got it" that you have a newer version and then either click "download new app" or "remind me later", just to be able to open my calendar and tasks! UNACCEPTABLE! Please fix immediately. Can't justify new version. I'm retired. Don't need the fancy features.

Best Organization App!!! Allows you to save locally in an encrypted format. I keep all my sensitive data in Informant and keep a current backup file on another BlackBerry device, so if anything happens to my Priv, I can just restore Informant on a new device, from the backup file. Informant is incredibly robust, allowing for myriad customizations and functionality. The UI is excellent. I did a fairly exhaustive search of the tasks, notes, contacts and calendar apps and Informant is the best!

Great app but Android being left behind. On their blog they have been talking about updating the Android version to the level of Apple for over 2 years. it's not going to happen. I see updates to the iPhone and even MacOS versions while the Android one just seems to get fixes. Too bad since it's one of the best Calendar and task apps on the market. It was developed for Apple first, and clearly Android is not important enough to them to keep it up to date. I've moved on to DigiCal.

I started with Informant with my old Windows 5 phone. It was miles ahead of anything anyone had on any device. I used it with Outlook and it was smooth, accurate and always had the information I needed available at my finger tips. My only concern is the lack of refinement on Android is far behind iOS and I hope Informant doesn't disappear as did the Windows version. Can't say enough though. The developers have left nothing more to be done. Best scheduler, contact and event software on the market.

Been using this for quite some time but had to uninstall it because of some sync issue, thinking I could reinstall it and resync (with toodledo) the data. Alas it wouldn't install anymore no matter how many times I tried. It would download & then the phone would restart immediately after. I don't know why it suddenly became like this. Didnt change phones nor upgraded the android version. Update 10/30/19: was able to reinstall without changing my phone or updating anything

I hate this app for one fatal flaw: When you press "Done," you're not necessarily done, and you may lose your entire entry and not even know it. I have missed a number of appointments because of this. This alone makes Informant unusable. Other annoying problems: 1-When you scroll through months, the month label doesn't update until you stop. So you have to scroll, stop, see where you are, backtrack, repeat... Aargh! 2-Repeated annoying pleas to buy the upgraded version.

I've been a Pocket Informant user from the very early days (when WinCE devices were a thing!). Unfortunately, the recent move to an overpriced subscription service has just lost a customer. Maybe the developer needs to have another strong look at its loyal user base and come up with more appropriate pricing models for major version upgrades.

Tre. M. Jan 1, 2020

The development team has stopped working on this app and only invests into the iOS version. There hasn't been a ui upgrade to the android version in over two versions(possibly three) of Android. All the money spent over the years on their paid subscription has resulted in lackluster returns. The UI is outdated. The customer support no longer reply's to internal support requests. No improvements in the last three years.

JP. Oct 23, 2020

Great app, but terrible treatment of paying customers. It has always been expensive, but the new version requires an exhorbitant yearly subscription (versus the single purchase price I already paid) AND it degrades the user interface of the current app by injecting an obnoxious reminder about the new version that cannot be disabled and must be endlessly acknowledged. I'll migrate to a less capable tool or combination of tools instead of indulging that kind of offensive tactic.

Though this app has a slightly steeper leaning curve compared to other PIMs, it's features and flexibility make it much better! You can literally customize it to the way you work, not be forced into someone else's idea of how you should do things. If you were brought up on Franklin Covey, this app is great! One area I would like to see improvement on is updated icons. Newer versions of Android has a slew of new icons, which would match certain tasks I use much better.

I've used this app with satisfaction for long time but this year I had an issue with Toodledo synchronization. I opted for subscribing to PI online recently so I guess the sync issues are not coming back. Too bad, I liked Toodledo, but it's no longer working as before. Be sure to add the app to the "unmonitored apps" on the battery settings

TQ for a great app, it had everything i need in a scheduler. Have been using various versions since my Blackberry days. Highly customisable but Settings are fiddly and a bit obscure. HOWEVER migration to new devices is a big pain, usually new device not recognised and i have to contact support. Will miss a few days while being sorted out. Support is quite quick and fuss-free.

You should of removed the annoying pop up by now. I'm not even opposed to paying the $25 a year, but the new app is not ready and you have no announcement for a web app to sync to. There are other options out there that offer valuable features. It was a good app that was long overdue for an update and features, but it worked! You need to create value people are willing to pay for and that would not of been a hard thing to do given you have competitors to copy lol.

I first started using PI on Pocket PC many years ago when it was quite ahead of its time. The Android version has lost ground over the last few years as the development is focused on Apple iOS so both the interface and the way it works is very clunky and almost 90s like. Final straw is upgrading my phone to find it's virtually impossible to transfer the licence or data. Every other app just ported over seamlessly with no effort but PI has nothing. No mention in the documentation or support.

I have been using this for few years now. The more I use it the more I find cool features and ways of organizing things. I have moved my to do and project lists to it now as well as my complete calender with professional and personal appointments and events. Very happy with it. Next is to move my notes writing to it.

Android Pie on Note 9 no problems. Recent convert from Apple to Android. Have used this for many many years on iOS and before and love it. Sure, no updates except fixes and I really hope they continue. If some ad $$/reviews of Android version some might find with sync only Gmail is out there dependable besides this. Get past current shortcomings using it's tremendous customization features.

I have been using this app since the pocket PC days. I really like the ability to color code appointments but do miss the extensive selection of icons that could be used. Wish they supported Android as much as IOS. Eventually I may find a calendar that works just as well for me and in better supported in Android.

Joh. F. May 30, 2019

Have used this for many years, originally on IOS and was happy when I found it for Android. I use it to schedule all my appointments but have found that alarms do not work for recurring appts. This makes the app nearly worthless as I don't get the reminder alarms any more. Looking for something better.

B. K. Feb 21, 2019

They pushed out an update a few days ago which disabled my pro status. Two emails later I've had no response but they pushed this last update which appears to have fixed their error. I agree with the reviewer who admonished them for spending the majority of their time updating the iOS version little on the Android version. So, my takeaway is, if you want a well developed and tested calendar app, helpful tech support, and devoted to Android programming... Look elsewhere!

I've been using this app for a number of years now across different phone systems. When they decided to completely redesign the app and stop supporting this app version they also decided to force everyone into their own syncing system for which you now have to pay a new fee. Being a Toodledo user I don't need another syncing service and therefore am now stuck using this older version of Informant. But, now this app has stopped syncing Toodledo. So, looks like I will be leaving Informant.

A. G. u. Nov 26, 2018

I've been using the FC paper planner for over 23 years and this works seamlessly with it. I have looked and have never found anything that works as well as this calendar app. I do wish they were able to release updates for Android users but I'm still happy with it nonetheless. (Reason for the 4 stars)

Mic. O. Jun 29, 2020

I've had this app for a long time andhad been very pleased with it. Lately however the alarms are not been going off on time. At first it was just a few hours behind which is not good. What it did today however was worse, I had 2 alarms that were meant for the day before but they didn't go off until today. Fortunately they were not really important alarms just reminders really, but if they had been important it wouldn't have been good. Someone needs to take a look at this right away.

Been using PRO for many years on many phones. Suddenly Informant lost my Exchange Active Sync calendar. Reinstalled the app and was told to pay £13.50 again! Update - after several reinstalls and reboots the purchase was eventually recognised. Exchange account still doesn't show up in Calendar, it does in Contacts though. What a mess!

I have been using PI for more then 10 years . Started on windows mobile, then iPhone and Android. I have always bought all versions and updates but a exorbitant yearly subscription is not an option for me. Forcing people to convert to a new version by an annoying splash screen and today by disabling the widget is truly sad. The result is that I will directly uninstall PI and will search and buy another calendar app. And I suggest all other PI users to do the same.
