Summary english version: - Interface way below todays standards -content incomplete / limited - reading software lacking - ad loaded, bottom banner and lots of clips with convienience foods Detailed: the photo software to read ingedients doesnt do the job thoroughly enough, one picture is recognized 4 out of 20+ ingredients and 2 are red labeled, then the same picture sharpened by me in hope to get better results, the previous ones were not shown at all and only 3 other recognized 🤷🏻‍♀️

Which languages does this work with? I tested this on a dark chocolate bar with ingredients in Dutch, and it either could not read it, or it didn't consider chocolate might pose a problem for some. If you included warnings for all stimulants and non-veg things found in food items and had the capability to read all major languages, I would buy this app. Thank you.

Here are my thoughts after using briefly - The app can read labels and highlight ingredients effectively. Generally this works well. Sometimes it can take a number of photos to work and took a restart in one instance to be able to read a biscuit label (soft package - not flat). - It is worth checking the scanned label, second tab (list, label, image) to check that all ingredients identified. Some were missed. I would love a wheat and derivatives option similar to Vegan option.

It has a lot of ingredients missing still and many times doesn't recognise or let you know which it hasn't listed. Simple app that works to the point. I will use to buy products and stay healthy. Keep up the good work and add ingredients! 😊 Btw before this app, I downloaded another one that scans barcodes. This one here is far better and easier to use! Well done! 😊

Really great at providing information on both food and cosmetic ingredients. Only complaint is that after a few uses it crashes when I try to save an item which sometimes forces me to either restart the app or the phone itself.

The only problem is that the app is unable to analyze ingredients which have a dark background colour and so one has to type the entire list manually. Other than that, it is precise and works fine.

I loved this app. Allows for a quick search by E number, ingredient name. But better than that allows you to photograph the ingredients list. Even if in foreign language (Portugues) it was able to detect in the ingredients list FLAWLESSLY 8 E numbers, speeding up the judgement of wether should I buy stuff or not. Priceless. Thanks guys, keep up the good work!!! Happy pandemic Xmas.

While i have only been using this app for a few days now, so far, it has been a tremendous help. I really like that i can create my own list of ingredients id like to avoid in products and that it gives you the reasons certain ingredients are listed as harmful, safe or unknown. I will never buy a new product without first consulting with this app again.

Untrustworthy. After looking up several external articles to double check ingredients danger as presented in this app, you might find the information about "danger" of the ingredients are sometimes inaccurate and are actually approved within certain percentage (= safe) or still being tested (= unknown consensus). The sources this app links (Wikipedia) have often different (positive) content from what the app says. It doesn't otherwise back up its source for its claims at all.

Needs English version with links to English articles, also needs search by product for example cola zero, and then to show harmful ingridients, instead of having to take a picture. Otherwise great app.

all in one, perfect app. analyses photos without a hitch, and provides ingredient descriptions without sending you to Google search results. bravo guys, well done.

i like the app but there are some ingredients that could not provide information. and the other thing is that when i take a picture it does not read. the picture was perfectly fine but the app is saying something else.

Love it. Scanned some products what i have and such junk have never seen befour im thinking of junking out some Nivea and Dove products.Sonetimes its a little difficult to scan ingridients. It would be better to able to scan bar codes too.

Tells you which Food additives and cosmetic ingredients are harmful to humans. But, for 5 stars, app should be movable to external SD card. Easyest to use of all the ingreediant apps out there. Simple, logical user interface. Has comprehensive ingredients data base. You can manually type ingredient's into search window, or use app's OCR on picture you have already snapped and saved of product's ingreedance . Or, app lets you quickly scan product label of a product's ingreedance list.

According to this, I should avoid everything. Other apps may label the same ingredients as low or moderate whereas this labels it as high risk. Upon further research, the claims in the app doesn't match with the results of studies. App also makes blanket claims that we should avoid everything with a particular name. Like come on

Amazing app. Thank god it has a blacklist. Thank you so much for adding vegan highlighting! Please add Gluten Free as another ingredient filter! There's not enough apps that help celiacs!

Very Informative. I threw out most of my brand name skin creams after I found out from Ingred how many bad things were in most of them. I now only use 100% natural organic creams, and my skin feels and look so much better.

OCR scan is OK, but backend isn't able to merge words in different rows, so sodium chlo-ride is ignored. plus DB of ingredients seems small

Oli. J. Jul 20, 2021

I find Ingred very helpful when trying to figure out when things are vegan and I love the option to have vegan options shown with the little leaves 🌱

App constantly freezes up when I'm taking a picture of an ingredients list, and it's always after I hit the checkmark to approve it.

Lin. H. Mar 29, 2019

i absolutely love this app i use it daily, and if i could just add one suggestion, that would be to make the whole app available in english.

Safety first! Very easy to use and results are immediate :) thank you. Just wish to have less publicity.

Ama. T. May 6, 2019

I love this app. Just by taking a picture of the ingredients list, I'm able to look at the definition of the ingredients which is really helpful. Thanks

Kri. P. May 19, 2020

Had to remove, I want an app where I can add many ingredients at once. It seems with this one I need to add one by one each ingredient

Goi. M. Jan 30, 2019

Interesting app. It would be nice to have a crop function, so I can crop out the superfluous information

Lui. B. Mar 15, 2021

Wonderful app, it gives complete information about the ingredients, informing whether it is dangerous or not. I recommend it. And it is FREE!

B.. G. Sep 3, 2019

This is easy to use and straight to the point. Take a photo of ingredients and see what's inside and how the ingredients rate

Lor. B. Jul 22, 2020

The app has a potential but if the database can not find an ingredient as simple as Sodium chloride then it is not really useful for me.
