Injector for GearVR
NOTE: if you already installed the application which you want to use with Injector, please uninstall it first and then load the apk again into Injector, or else you get a version conflict error and the application wont be installed.
Its a main issue for developers to share an unpublished GearVR application with a new device.
Every time the Oculus signature file for the device has to be downloaded and added into the application before building a new version.
With injector you can avoid this process.
Simply download or pick a GearVR application to Injector; it then creates your signature file injects it into the selected GearVR APK and also installs the newly built application on your device.
There is a test apk in the About section of the application where you can test Injector.
Injector is fully functioning on any GearVR compatible devices.

The app is nonfunctional at this time. The app recompiles apks successfully but each and every one of them fails within Gear VR, giving the "thread priority security exception make sure the apk is signed" message that this app is intended to avoid. Even the included test apk fails. I'm happy to revise my review if and when it gets working again.
The APK can now go through the processes the app goes through, but once I open the new APK, the app created, Gear VR says that it isn't signed. I uninstalled and reinstalled the APK and this did nothing to help. I then installed the sample APK given in the about section and it also shows that it isn't signed. This is on a S9+.
Thanks! Great app! I would rate it 4.5 stars, because I am a perfectionist that does software engineering so of course there is still some room for improvement in the app. Haha. Is this based on any open source project? I really want an osig injector wrapper for Unity apps so I can distribute gear vr apps on My own store and on the play store. Would appreciate a link to a github repo if it is based on any. Sent an email about collaborating. Would appreciate a reply. Thanks in advance!
Running android 9. Error occured while retrieving signature file. Followed the workaround instructions aswell. Can't use app.
The app refused to run on my note 9 and told me exactly what to do on my note9 so I would never need the injector again. Even for that tip, this app is worth 5 stars
Does not work on android 10 The workaround doesn't really do anything as there is still no information on how to ADD apps to gear vr and all prior sideload methods have been removed from playstore.
Samsung Note 9 running Android 10. Work around *does not* work. Edit: TY for the reply. Will amend stars as soon as I can get s$%t together and work from Oculus' end
for the one app ive needed it on so far, it worked perfectly. i wish it added it into normal oculus menu instead of standalone though
I installed my apk through the menu but nothing happens afterward. I look in my oculus library but it's not there. Can you help? I'm using S6 Edge +
Just keeps telling me there's a new update then links me to play store where there isn't a new update.

Bug. Trying to install this on a galaxy s7 running stock android 8. When I open the app it says " new version available- please update your software to continue" then brings me back here to the playstore, and no update! I'm obviously on the latest version but it won't open just this update screen loop. Disappointing because this is an incredibly useful app, it totally deserves 5 stars but it is broken in its current form
