Inkitt Writing: Tell The Story

It's a good app, it was my first choice when I decided I was going to move from Wattpad. However, it would be extremely helpful to have the reading and the writing app merged. It also has a glitch where when I start a chapter it gets duplicated multiple times, and then I have to go back and delete the unnecessary ones. Other than those issues, it's a fantastic app, and I look forward to usuing it even more in the future. Edit: Another thing, it would be great if you could change text alignment.

Good, but definitely room for improvement. Words are often not lined up perfectly with the correct lines, glitches out from time to time. Although it does offer more options than Wattpad, like secondary themes and such, and the fact that it's ad free, it could still use improvements on that part. Overall a good app, just not finished, and needs more work.

The app works great! The introduction page helps me come up with ideas for stories and it runs smoothly! One problem is that I have bad eyesight, and the black text on white hurts my eyes, so could you please add an option where you can change it to white text on black? That would help a lot! Other than that, the app is amazing for being early access.

Ive only had the app for a few hours now . I really like how it works for the most part . It can be a little slow at times but thats ok . Ill be using this as a place to keep my stories . I think the app could improve but i think its going to be more minor tweaks than anything . I do find it challenging to get out of the draft section . Ive found that I have to exit the app completely because if i use the back arrow it ends up doubling or copying my entry . Weird , but atleast i dont lose it !

The app has been great until the other day when in the middle of writing, all of my submitted and saved content disappeared. I tried downloading the app on multiple devices, both Android and iPhone but the same issue occurred. I contacted support 3 times, but only received 1 response so far, but it's probably me just being impatient. In the end, I accessed my story from the web browser where all of my content showed. Hopefully this helps someone.

Well, the app is easy to use, comfortable and all. But then it gets less comfortable as you use it. It slows down abruptly, sometimes jumbles up chapters. The undo button is next to useless as it cannot undo more than two to three letters. Yes, letters not words. I really hate pointing out mistakes like this if it were managable but it's not. I would like and I think anyone else would like a few improvements. And please can fonts be added? Like maybe 2-3 more fonts? It helps inspiration. PS- ✌

It could be better- But it's actually pretty good considering it's new. I just hope you guys make it so the progress we make on our work don't get deleted when we close the app. There are also times when I would launch the app and all my works would be gone, but would be there if I relaunch the app. I'm also excited for the offline feature! Bugs and glitches aside, it's pretty good.

I just started to submit a book. I love the experience but on the recent application update, I seem to have a problem when editing my chapters. I long-pressed a word and dragged cursor a few characters before it but then it seems to move further away. Sample when I move the left/right cursor of the selected/highlighted word, it seems to move a paragraph prior to the word. And it is frustrating! Please get this fixed. Thank you.

BUGGY. No autosave. Been looking for an alternative to Wattpad and I've had this sitting on my phone for a while. I tried to transfer over a story and edit it but whenever I tried to select a certain amount of text the screen jumps all over the place and I cannot simply just highlight something to italicize or bold it. I have to erase it completely and redo it. Other than this being, obviously, infuriating it makes the app very unusable for people as I have no interest in constantly rewriting.

Overall it's good. I have few complaints about how some of its functions does not work very well. This app really has a lot to improve and I only need to be patient for it. Well, everytime I upload a book cover for my story, it takes a lot of time to load or simply does not load at all even though I have a strong connection. Then here's my chapter issues where everytime I go online, the latest chapters' contents vanishes somehow only to be replaced by the first chapter's contents. Please fix it.

Nice app. Many features are accessible and writting & publishing for free is something I love. But, there are many gliches in the app, and most of it is mentioned by writers as reviews already. Would give a 5 if all these problems are solved. I understand it's still a app under progress, but if the progress took place a little faster, it would be great 💕

It is not bad. The app says it's still new, so I expected lots of bugs, and yes. There are a lot of them. For people who don't want their work to be wiped when leaving the app or making changes to the cover or book description, make sure to save it first to avoid your work being wiped. Also, avoid leaving the app without saving, it will also wipe your work when you go back.

The app is great. Like realllyy great but the part where I have to like edit the text (Italic and bold text) is gone. I don't know where it went. Lol. Also, I have some sort of trouble in submitting the chapters because it always says I have to fill up the more info part even though it is already done or has been filled up in the first place. Uhmm that's it. Lololol

I download this app cause I decided to leave temporsrily in Wattpad. First, I like the simplicity of the feautures. But I am having trouble saving my file or chapter. I typed the tags so many times cause when I saved I saw that it is still blank. And it won't function if I want to return. You really have to tap the home button of your phone to exit. And lastly, when I decided to open the app the chapters of my story are doubled not just twice but thrice. That's all, I hope you will fix this.

This app is pretty good, but I found an issue when it comes 2 saving the chapters. When I try 2 change the title of a chapter, it ends up creating a NEW chapter with the copied text and changed title, BUT theres still the same text with the og title 4 another chapter. Theres also when I try 2 save a chapter, there ends up being multiple chapters with each save? It also creates another copy of a story when I try 2 save it as well. Anyway, gr8 app and I cant w8 until its merged with reading one!

The writing experience isn't bad, overall atleast. I would like it if we could actually indent paragraphs and center text. Maybe underline too? One of the things I do like is how writers can page break, that's one thing Wattpad doesn't have. Other than that, I love how the limit on tags for stories is either very long or non-existent! I have noticed that sometimes I need to tap a button twice to get it to select, especially when adding tags. Hope to see the missing stuff I listed someday!

This is really great, but when I just want to save my story and continue it later, I can't save cause I didn't "write in the text box" WHEN I CLEARLY DID. It's very aggravating, and that's why I put four stars. I really hope this is a fixable bug. But, other than that, it's a great game to write down stories!

I like Inkitt alot I dont like how you have to have 2 separate apps and that it took me a little while to figure out how to do everything. Also I have a glitch on where a start a new book it would duplicate it and you can't get rid of the duplicated one or ot will get rid of the book you are working on but overall it's a really good app. Also the all the books are free!

Please fix this bug! Once you start writing, you can't return to the menu! You click back, but it makes an infinite loop and goes from chapter manager, to the story title. You can't go to the main menu. I really want this to work, Creepypasta is not working, Wattpad is greedy and toxic af. This is the last resort before I give up!

I love how the app allows me to copy and paste my chapters from word or docs and then paste it on Inkitt. Other than that, the app is pretty good. I just wish that there was a way to change the paragraphs you write from left, middle, or right on the screen. It only lets you keep it on the left.

The app stutters,like very very very much.I can't totally go out from the app or even to other stories in my draft when I already am in one story,the home page doesn't come.The "back option" doesn't take me to the draft's page when I'm writing a draft. I have to click my phone's home to go back,clear the app and then restart;it's very irritating at times.The app is not taking my profile update, posting of stories take really long,the app is not getting connected to my existing email Plz help.

Hello developers! I just wanted to say that i am enjoying your application very much. We can both write and read together. But i have a suggestion for you to make this app much better for users. You can add a feature where we can add pictures and audios. It will make reading more fun for the readers. Pictures make reading more attractive. I hope it wasn't too much. Thanks!

The app is nice, but can still improve a lot. I find it hard when I post a revised chapter. Nothing changes and it doesn't show the revised one. And when I'm writing a chapter that I haven't finished yet and I wanna save as a draft, it automatically submits it. Please help T.T

When I first opened the app it looked nice and everything but when I tried to upload a book cover for my new book it refused to work. I even tried using the canva app and still nothing happened. I like the whole design and everything but it's obvious this app needs a lot of improvement. I see a lot of potential in this app, just try to improve it.

This is the perfect tool for writers! Many different genres. Literally tons of stories and books. I've been able to read and leave comments. It's truly a wonderful place to learn and develope new skills and styles. Although the app is a recent creation, I'm well pleased and looking forward to the growth and development.
