This has truly been a God-send. I am so grateful to regain the ability to take care of business communications as well as personal communications again. Before InnoCaption I had so much difficulty with hearing important business calls such as, job/phone interviews, doctor's appointments and hearing voice-mail. InnoCaption makes it all possible again and with great ease. What a great app!
Wonderful app. It was a life changer for me as for many years with my hearing loss I was "tied" to a caption reading landline phone. I need captions and before I found InnoCaption cell phones just did not work well with hearing aides, telecoil compatible or not. This was a new world being able to read texts and understand a conversation.. the service is reliable, user friendly and the support team is outstanding if you have any questions. Try it!!
Great app but I have never been able to get incoming call notifications on my garmin device. I get notifications from all my other apps but not inno. This is a critical feature for deaf people. I miss all incoming calls because of this. If the caller leaves a vmail, I can then return the call. But if I could receive the notification. I could answer directly. It's the only missing piece.
This is a game changer for me. I have probably about 10-15% hearing in both ears and I have over the last several years pulled away from talking on the phone and relying on family to make important calls for me, this here is awesome it has given me back the freedom to make simple everyday calls that most may make ie:doctors office, pharmacy etc. My cell has become something I haven't truly had in years a phone plain and simple. Instead of texting I can call so thank you!
My progressive hearing loss and now deafness has led me to rely on technology for communication purposes. InnoCaption has help fill the gap when communicating with others. Good thing the app works with my existing cell phone and provider. No need for separate devices. Recently turned to InnoCaption for support. The support was prompt, professional, and accommodating. I'm glad InnoCaption is here. Thank you! :0)
I initially had connection issues with this app. However, since I've reported issues, things have improved significantly. The recent update for 911 calls is awesome. I would recommend this app. If you ever experience issues, please reach out to customer service for assistance. They are pleasant and patient.
Im sure is a good app but i cant sign up on my phone . There is section you enter the secure code sent by texy in the sign up process. My keyboard pops up and covers that section to enter the code. When reducing my keyboard it starts the sign up procress all over agsin. I've done this three times. Is there another way to sign up. I use a LG 6 phone
A noticeably improved app so far.. However, my only gripe lately is every time I link Bluetooth to my vehicle it goes straight to my cars voice-mail and I have to hang up via my cars dashboard screen to go back to the radio or play music. It does this every single time I turn on the Bluetooth in my car..
Initially when I started using this app I had major difficulties however when I contacted Inno caption via email I was instructed on how to make the calls work. So when I followed instructions, it was wonderful and usually is. Yet sometimes, like it was for me a few minutes ago, when there is a high volume of calls, you are disconnected. This a bit frustrating. Particularly when making important phone calls. I can't blame the company necessarily, what is a deaf person to do?
Conversation setting is ok. There ares that need far more improvement is the area of business & that is translating I'm phone numbers, it's horrible. Those are impossible for the translator to perform. The number is wrong, the get ate & 8 mixed up, they r impossible
This app has been a game changer! When I lost my job due to Covid, getting this was the first thing I did because I needed to use the phone for Unemployment, Social Security and other programs. Downloading is easy. (I'm not tech savvy, and the folks at InnoCaption even walked me through it.) It is transparent to people you call because there is no delay in their end of the conversation being transcribed so you can respond. My favorite app and my highest recommendations. Thanks.
Every time I get a phone call my incoming call volume over powers my ringtone so I do not hear my ringtone go off when I get a message..I have to uninstall InnoCaption to get rid of incoming ring volume and reinstall it to use the InnoCaption app.. I have a Samsung Galaxy 8+ and it has just started doing this in the last few months.. I have tried to figure out how to fix it but no luck yet
Update Version Got Worse. I didn't receive a phone call alert when I applied to jobs and it takes longer than it used to make a call and well the old versions worked better in my experiences. I've also been experiencing static noises from the phone call reciever and get hanged up by them.
Everytime i try to call out or receive a call it tell me that i have unstable wifi. This is not being very helpfull and feel lost. I thought my wish had come true to communicate but failed. Please advize me to what to do.
Called for user support on a holiday, and got Izzy. He was very helpful over the next 3 days of emails back and forth. He could not have been more helpful. Great app for hearing impaired people. I wear hearing aids, but sometimes even with them, it is difficult to catch everything my caller says. InnoCaption fills in those gaps for me.
Caption was working beautiful, now something else pop up call inno caption: real times and asking me for a password.. how can I get out that just get my regular caption on? I tried this again and it still doesn't work for me. Now I have a Bluetooth hearing and and Inno captions gives me captions but no sound thru the phone calls.
This is a great app and the people doing the transcription do a good job. Sometimes the other person on the line hears static or noise because there is that third person on the line, listening and transcribing, but overall, thus app/service is blessing.
It is overall great. My concern is it may be the cause of my volume control issues. Mefia volume will become low or zero after a call, and I can't get it back then come back after the next call. Not seeing the rhyme or reason yet.
I wear hearing aids in both ears, and I tried to install this app, but after waiting for 5 minutes, I canceled it and tried again. I waited another 4 minutes and it still just says pending, and it circles constantly but won't install. I have another app that would make the voice of the caller go right into my digital hearing aids, but I got a new phone and never connected with it. I didn't like the noisy ads from my games on the other app. Had high hopes for this app.
This app has been a game-changer for me. Really easy to use and I feel like a normal person just making and answering calls like anyone else without the awkwardness that relay services insert into the process.
I had a few issues getting started, but the Innocaption team kindly reached out to me when I left a negative review. They helped me get the app running smoothly. Thank you!
It really help to read their 👄 lips! 🤗🤟also it easier to read what they say and it very helpful* I also feel learning hear what to they say as lately most people's wear 😷 mask !?????????? It really hard on deaf and hard of hearing not understand them but I do ask for them to text back or write or little down if their mask 😷! This is hardest for us!!! And also from another countries are here and used there cell 📱 to type what they say as it print out English ! That help for them too!
I have been using this app for a couple years and love it, but recently ran into a problem. The sound on my Galaxy Note 8 keeps disappearing, and the only way to get it back seems to be to uninstall Innocaption. I had all calls forwarding to the app; now I have to reinstall it just when I call someone, and can't use it on incoming calls. Any idea why it would kill my phone's sound completely?
When I reboot my phone, this app starts a background call and I can't figure out how to stop it except for denying the permission in my phone settings. If you fixed this problem then this app would be 4 or 5 stars.
Works great but I would like to have my income phone calls able to be transferred or have an option on the call page
I lost my hearing in 2015. I've used a number of different captioning services for telephone calls. My favorite is InnoCaption, which I've been using for the past couple of years. One of things I appreciate is that whenever I've had any issues, InnoCaption has always quickly responded with solutions. There are two things I really like in the new version (3.0.6.). DeskView captions and the ability to switch between CART and automated captioning. Thank you for providing a great service!
I used the interpreter once or twice, then went to the AI service as i was making calls with personal information on them. Ive only just started and its been very reliable. The tutorial on how to set up call forwarding was very helpful. My hearing loss was sudden and this helped me cope very well. I gave 4 stars instead of 5, as it has a hard time understanding people with heavy accents and through masks, and it sucks battery. Have a battery backup with you at all times!
Base function of the app is good but the connection has gone down hill. For example, I cannot connect to the voice mail system currently. In addition, phone calls often need to be made multiple times before the audio connects. EDIT: Developer followed up. My specific issues cleared up with the newer updates. I personally really enjoy this app and it is my go to for phone calls. The auto-generated captions aren't perfect but they generally get the job done. 👍
This app has a captioning assistant mode and an auto speech recognition mode. I have it set to ca priority. It starts out with an assistant and then after a few minutes it stops captioning. I have to switch it to asr mode to get it to resume while I'm in the middle of the call. Meanwhile I've missed what was said while I was trying to figure out why it stopped. The caption quality is usually pretty good. Also it helps to have a strong data connection (e.g. Wifi).
I appreciate your reply from my earlier review. I don't expect my input to change anything, but you can't really think that this version is better than the one that I was talking about (and was used to, yes). For one, what happened to the FAVORITES List?? Can't figure out why you wouldn't add that feature to a newer version. And two, the Color-Changing option was one reason why I really loved the app. A lot of other Voice-to-Text apps have both those features. Please consider my review....... ?
