I like the app and use it daily. However it doesn't always report as quickly and I use Maps to double check the route to make sure both show same slow downs. I also can never get the cameras to appear as an option. I used to see them a year or so ago. Then I'd occassionally see the camera, now I never see them. If these 2 points were fixed it would be close to perfect for me
I decided to give Inrix a shot, as an alternative to Google Maps and Waze. While the graphics are impressive, it lacks the optimization that Waze has. The biggest show-stopper is that after entering a given address and starting the navigation, it accurately aprises the ETA, but hangs up perpetually in the "Calculating" mode. This happens regardless of any address that is input into the search bar. When opening the aforementioned apps, they immediately load and are ready to navigate. Google and Waze should not have any fear of Inrix as a serious contender.
The app follows Google Maps... Or at least, tries to - which I find is redundant. Took too long to reroute. By the time it rerouted, I had already passed several roads that I could have gone down. After 5 minutes of poor directions.... uninstalled immediately. Though, it could have potential, I am going to stay with TomTom / Garmin GPS or Google Maps.
This app worked well until recently. Now it does not always show the traffic on roads that it used to. Worse, it no longer recognizes me and acts like I'm signed out of my account. It also does not let me sign in even after resetting my password. Therefore I no longer have saved places and cannot recreate them. Even worse, 2 requests to customer support come back only with the auto acknowledgement of receipt and no further follow up after 7+ days.
Since IRIX is going away, does anyone have any favorite traffic program? I know where I'm going most of the time so I don't need directions. I used INRIX to determine my best route as far as delays. I really liked the wide bold colors depicting traffic speeds. Those were easy to read while moving on the road. I can't find anything equivalent yet. Any thoughts?
Difficult to see how to start a route. Icon not easy to understand. A bit clumsy until you figure it out. Does not always give clear lane guidance on highway, could have easily taken a wrong exit, did not warn ahead to go one way or the other. Interface needs some work.
It used to be great and way better than Maps. Then it started displaying only half the roads as far as traffic goes. Now rarely anything. I have deleted it multiple times and reinstalled it with no luck. Will check in periodically but it seems pretty worthless now.
No doubt the best TRAFFIC app I've used for the past 5 years. I see patients at their homes and used this app extensively to map out the problematic (moderate to heavy traffic) roads and get to my patients faster and safer. It was also very useful during long out of town trips. I am saddened it is getting decommissioned, though it is already past 4/28/2021 and it is still working so far. I would pay the usual app charge if it means this stays on.
This app used to be my every day savior. Not anymore. There was an issue a few months ago. It kept kicking me out. I tried for several days till I gave up and stopped using it. Today, I gave it another chance hoping issues should be fixed by now. I was really glad that I could stay on the app without being kicked out. HOWEVER, I cannot login neither using my account nor using facebook. My logins kept failing no matter how many times I reset my password. Totally disappointed.
My only complaint is that the more recent updates seem to have removed access to traffic cameras in my area. The cameras are accessible from the ODOT app or website so I know they work, it would just be easier to access in this app when checking traffic issues. Otherwise, it is very useful.
overall I like the app but when you zoom into street level the traffic graphic disappears. I also would like to see a zoom out function lets me look ahead so I can do some planning on my own alternate routes. Currently you have to pan or manually Zoom it out.
It's ok, basically Waze light. It also doesn't have a map of available parking spots at Mall of America, which now has an INRIX parking system installed. It does say the percentage of ramp fullness... But not by floor or any other detail which I want to know where to most quickly park.
Terrible. Customer service is non existent and they now apparently only cater to paying corporations. Don't bother emailing the developer as the address is also non existent. Used it for many years. Might as well have called the latest update a tombstone because that was the apps grand finale.
App had green highlights on highway when traffic was good. It would change colors to the severity of the backups which was great. Now it will not do that, don't know why but now I won't use the app anymore.
No navigation around closed roads The app tells you if a road is closed, but when starting navigation it will send you down these closed roads. Two roads closed on the way to where I was going, I was to be heading down both of them. Not ideal.
I am a longtime user and BIG Fan of the app but the 3/6 update rendered the app unusable. I get a message preventing the app from opening due to lack of permissions, even though my android is configured for full control. It's a loop that won't resolve.
Evidently Inrix doesnt care that there is an issue with the app. I've contacted them several times but cannot get a response as to what if anything is being done about the lack of traffic flow or conditions. Loved the app till about a month ago. It no longer shows traffic flow. It keeps pace with me but there is absolutely no way of telling whats ahead. Uninstall & reinstalled several times. Did nothing to help. Contacted Inrix about it 4 times, I've yet to hear back. Please fix the issue.
