Insect identifier App by Photo, Camera 2020

App doesn't work at all. I had a picture of a shiny black beetle and the app insisted it was a ladybug. I'm no expert but even I know that is very very wrong. I've since found out it was a diving beetle from a different source. I had to watch an ad that lasted a lifetime to get this false information too. Quite dissappointed

I tried 4 sharp foto's of insects and the app failed on all. The first was a rosemary beetle ("Chrysolina americana"). It is a very characteristic beatle, but the app only said that is was a beatle. I don't need an app to tell me it is a beattle! I want to know which beatle. On a second beatle the app didn't even recognise it was a beatle. The third was a butterfly, but the result was such a different butterfly. The 4th try was a Cockchafer ("Melolontha melolontha"). a very recognisable beetle. It came up with a type of butterfly as match. The app is not worth the money or looking at the adds untill it starts recognising insects.

Sadly the application doesn't work on my galaxy s10. I have tried to take photos of wood louse and earwigs just to test out the application. I get something went wrong every time. If you ever get the "bugs" fixed I will retry. No sense in paying $10 for something broken. Maybe before offering premium you should make sure your product works.

Totally rubbish user experience and user journey is not what it says on the tin. The in-app photo database is very small and its images are of poor quality, making identification even more difficult. Most requests get "put out to the community" to the app's hard work. I deleted it straight away.

The price isn't bad, but sadly, I couldn't get anywhere in the app because of the ads! I don't pay up front; I want to see what the app does first. I don't think you're going to be winning new users to this app because the ads are IMPOSSIBLE!! I just wanted to make certain that this is what I want......siiiigh I'll try and get through more, but we'll see. I may delete it. Ads hell! Ugh!

Too many ads,however can be circumvented by using airplane mode. In correctly identified insects I that I ahev already confirmed the order and family. Not too reliable but okay to narrow dozn choices. Do not trust it fully, better to do own research based on the three insect groups it gives you.

Immediate uninstalled I took 2 great pictures of the same bug. The app said there was no bug to identify. Plus the ads every three seconds is a pain this app is a waste of time if I could give negative stars I most definitely would 🤬🤬

This app would not let me post a picture, the bug was clear and you could see it, but it kept telling me nothing was there or there was a problem. If I can't post a picture of a bug how am I supposed to figure out what it is? The app is useless and the developer should deem mine and everyone elses reviews worthy enough to fix the problems.

I posted a picture of a large, furry moth, and the app suggested that it was a snakefly. Also, I get supporting your app with ads, but sweet buddy jesus, every time I try to do something? I spend more time watching ads that I couldn't care less about than I do actually using the app. TLDR: work on identification accuracy and dial back the ads. This app is useless until you do.

Excellent app to find out the insects type by just taking a picture or best thing is it has a great community to ask online help from researchers that instantly replies in your post. Great concept. looking forward for this app. purely recommended.

I start the app on Galaxy 10 and there is nothing to say how it works! I want to feed it a photo of a beetle and get an identification. All I get is a lot of other peoples messages. What is wrong with providing a MANUAL??! Or am i being very old fashioned?

I wanted to use this "free" app with my Grandkids when we went camping. I used it a few times and liked how it worked. Then it started it started constant showing POP UPs for a Premium account for monthly payments.

I just used this app to identify one butterfly and it is 85% accurate. Good to see this kind of application. Some improvements needs too. But overall it's a great app.

Failed to identify the spider in my bathtub. Had to download an other app to identify it. Was bombarded with ads and your app require 4 time more space on the phone memory.

Insect indentifier app is very awesome and fabulous app. It is really good. It scan the insect and then tell us name and characteristics of that insect. It is very interesting and enjoyable app

Shocking. Ads are very very intrusive so I would consider a subscription but it couldn't identify the most basic insects. Must try harder

Not user friendly, too many ads and u have to pay. I want to test on a trial free base first before I pay for anything, but no option for that.

Only a 4 dollar app. But you can't take one step without consistent unstoppable adds. At least let me get one photo in before purchase. Sheesh

Useless app. App doesn't work, when scanning insect, it pops up with an error "Oops, something went wrong, please try again"
