App is easy to use and you can customize it to suit your needs or make your use easier and faster. One of my only complaints is when you send items to the summary page I have to go in at the end and add spacing between comments on different items. If I don't add the spacing I feel it can be very difficult for the client or agent to read and differentiate among the different issues listed. This is only a minor inconvenience, but it does take a few minutes. Otherwise great app and great support.
Was decent for several years and has gotten worse with time. Now pictures need to be taken several times to save on the software, this can be legitimately dangerous when on roofs needing to retake the same photo five times for the software to save it. It also is increasing the length of each inspection which is extremely inefficient. I called tech support and they acknowledged a software issue, it still has not been fixed. This is a frustrating and dangerous issue with the software.
Can't sync cloud services. After multiple times, can't get past activate of my device. One successful activation and sync but after two days, "device activation failed" now can't re-activate. Garbage! So frustrating. I won't be able to rely on this for a business. I am tempted to just trash it and find something better. It's trash.
it's a bit clunky, but has all the pieces the picture function is good, but slow the sync function has been hit & miss I use it because I got it free for a year with my home inspection training (AHIT); I'll use it until it expires, but unless it gets better, I'll be exploring other options....when I get the time.
this app would have 5 stars if you were able to transfer all you information across devices. Also, when you have to install on a new device, you have to set up all the features and settings as they do not save. Overall its really good but when you pay $600 for software it should not be this big of a pain to set up again.
Been using this app for about 3 years now and noticed a few issues, mainly that it is very slow to load in pictures(estimated 2 minutes to upload a picture) and while you are typing a comment it will randomly back out of it to the homescreen which is quite annoying to go back and have to retype. I'll probably give it a few more months then find something better.
I have used AHIT software since 2005 when the first windows version was introduced. At first it was cutting edge and it was the best software available. Support for the windows software began to wain around 2010 when they introduced the Android / IOS operated version and I reluctantly switched to the current software in 2014. Since then it has been progressively worse and unstable. Every update makes it and more unusable. After 5000 inspections its time to make a change.
I have been using Inspectit, for three years now. I don't have any experience with any other programs, for comparison purposes. Inspectit is user friendly for sure. Both clients and realtors like the layout and overall appearance of the report. They say it's easier to get through, than others. They feel like they're reading a novel with other programs out there.
I have used it for 10 years now. Love it. The android update did take away the ability to use google photos. Customer service was great. Just waiting for the update they said was going to come out last year. Thats the only issue I have. And thats why I gave 4 not 5 stars.
Been using Inspect-it for over 14 years, realtors love it's simple layout and summary. I don't use the cloud sync, so really have no problems with App. I do think they need to find different IT guys.
Always an issue with syncing inspections so you can edit from desktop. Makes it very inconvenient. Manipulation of photos is also a mess. The more I use the app, the more issues I am having. Going to call support and see what happens.
This software is an AHIT SCAM to take your money!! They will offer it to you at their classes (to people who have most likely never used software before), tell you how it does everything you can imagine, show you a few demos, and then "offer you a heavy discount". I paid somewhere in the range of $400-$600 for this program and I feel ripped off every time I think about it! I have been inspecting since 2015 and have used 4 different software programs. AHIT's InspectIT is by far the worst. Compared side by side InspectIT does not stand up to others in terms of ease of use, the ability to customize or working on a desktop. I have tried using it numerous times throughout the years and I ALWAYS go back to another program. DO NOT BUY THIS SOFTWARE UNTIL YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH OTHER SOFTWARE, and even then...think 3 times!!!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
I've been using this program for quite some time now and find it easy to use. However, every time I reinstall this app to a new device I have to go and fix all the grammar errors and missing periods at the end of the sentences. It's annoying and time consuming. Go to any preloaded comments and you'll see what I'm saying. Fix that and it would get a 5 star rating.
The app is fantastic. Really well done. My problem is the app just keeps continuing to freeze. So I then have to close the app and start over. As well as the app just continues to run no matter how many times you close the app.
Clients can't open up pictures to view them in a bigger perspective to see the details so I have to email them all in JPEG files on Gmail, inconvenience. When adding comments during editing and I push done it erases my whole comment alot and I have to retype the whole thing all over again. Major inconvenience! Makes editing your report twice as long having to retype everything all the time. Have to buy cloud service to work on my laptop, PC or any other devices so choose your device wisely.
Inspectit is a decent reporting software system. I have been using the app for about 4 years now. I really like the interface, it is easy to use and doesn't take a lot of time. I had to heavily modify the report to suit my needs and the stock saved comments are worthless. It took me about 40 hours to edit/modify the report, delete their saved comments(most of the comments were in all caps, had poor grammar, didn't describe the deficiencies properly, etc...), and add my own.
So far the only issues I am having is locating docs within the app. Primarily the client agreement page. I could not find it this morning for my client. This was on my tablet, I didn't look for it on my phone.
Originally this app worked great for me, but over time, changes have been made, some for the good, but some form the bad. In this business, I feel we need everything to be more productive, and quicker, but I guess that's not for me to decide. Customer Service is also an issue I have had, especially in the last year. When I am on a job, and need customer service, I can't wait most of the time until the next day as time is of the essence. I just feel several areas could be improved.
They took away the summary page which helped the clients with a deficiency item list and made it more complicated for our clients. Would not recommend until they give us back the summary page. Less than 1 star if I could!!!!
System freezes on me frequently. Really anxious for the new version. All in all, really great support team and very functional.
It has a lot of info to check out and input for my inspections. However, it is very cumbersome. You have a lot of moves and work to complete the final report. There are many steps for one comment to be inserted to the summary. It takes a long time to finalize a report to send to customer.
App still glitches during photos. Please fix. Very annoying when it's 100 degrees or raining, and I have to close and restart the app.
Easy to use and easy to change templates. If you use this app, be sure you have a lot of storage on your device. Really is slow if there's not enough space.
Awesome Home Inspection Software, they best I've ever seen ! Not only does it cover all the bases, it will not let you miss anything! I highly recommend InspectIt & that is the only inspection software my company will ever use ! If your using any other Inspection software besides InspectIt, even if it's free ... your misiing out !
The last update removed the ability to edit an area or field without using the "Begin Editing" tab. Takes a little more time mow but it was instant before the update
Took the class and they said this software was free. Now they want monthly and annual fees. And it's hard to learn to use. My son couldn't even help and he is a software developer. also lots of typos that won't look good for realtors
Using the cloud version for six years. Vastly improved after the first year. Fairly easy to customize and use.
I've been using Inspect it for nearly 10 years. It is a simple yet comprehensive report easily customizable. However, the software used to save pictures to your device when adding a photo to the report during the inspection. About 8 months ago an update took away the ability for pictures being taken during the inspection to be saved to the device you're using..thats unacceptable. Ive spoken to tech support over a dozen times and they refuse to acknowledge the ability to fix the issue.
