Basically for snapping photos and capturing 960p videos it works well on my Asus Zenfone 3. I'd like to report a bug with the software where after capturing a higher resolution video than the default 960p, the player fails to stitch the video properly: at the "seams" where the stitching occurs, there's a double vision "effect" (you can see objectd in the scene not "connecting" right). This doesn't happen when live previewing the camera feed and during video capture. Please fix it.
It's a good little camera but does not work well for what I wanted to use it for. It is not recognized as a camera when using the Google street view app. It also does not log the GPS coordinates when taking photos. You have to export the images you want to use as they are stored within the app. Also it is not exactly plug and play like others, I have noticed a number of people having difficulty getting it working. With these changes it would be a GREAT 360 camera.
I don't want to join a "community" or view stuff other people photographed, there already are apps for that. I want to use the camera I bought with as few obstacles as possible. Also, this app recognizes the camera when it's directly connected to the phone's usb-C Port but not when it uses a usb-C extension cable (which I bought because with a direct connection I cannot keep my preferred phone case on my phone). Why not?
Works well on my OnePlus5T. For people with the 5T, you need to turn on OTG for the camera to work. You can add it to your quick settings menu for easy access. Overall, for the price, I'm happy with this camera. I wish it has better Google Photos integration as right now you need to manually export every photo. Other than that, direct sharing to various social media sites works well.
- Why Volume Down button act as BACK? If, I'm in camera mode to take photos, first or second volume button press take photos, as normal, then if I press again, it goes back, and back! Please fix this bug! It makes it difficult to use with remote or stick! - Why I have to press so many buttons to open the camera mode after starting the app! The main reason to use this app is to take photos Check consumer flow! Please fix this UX issue, is ridiculous stupid!!! - Photos are visible between phones?
THE CURRENT VERSION OF THE APP PERIODICALLY RUNS IN THE BACKGROUND AND EATS UP DATA EVEN IF YOU DON'T OPEN IT. RESTRICT ITS PERMISSIONS TO THE BARE MINIMUM. Make the local 360 camera album the default opening page. Make social feed of the app only load when you open it. Otherwise, good app and camera I guess.
Why does the app keep creating more folders under Photos? I don't like the extra step of exporting out of the app. Not an easy app to use. Disappointed in the app. Camera is easy to use but the resolution could be better.
App is very glitchy. I have to close it from recent apps after I reconnect the camera. Facebook live streaming gives an error. Also it drains my battery very fast. I like the Air, but the app is bad.
the ui needs some help. the hardware back button shouldn't close the app. the app back button shouldn't be at the top of the screen and the container holding the back button shouldn't constantly disappear. i shouldn't have to export each photo one by one. great photos, terrible app.
Worst experience with two installations in different mobiles. So far not a single photo could be saved. Please integrate with this app to greet view google app . so that at least we can share some photos.
The export animation function crashes when I choose a size other than square. Videos I took with the camera sideways (mounted on phone in gps fashion) would not render correctly.
In Insta360 air app, if you can add video or photo editing option and also with additional filters option that would be great. Plus tutorial videos showing how to use the features in various ways. Can that be possible?
It has annoying "jump typing" when writing post descriptions. Always back to front word every single font typed. Also I could not add space characters to description. Fix it! (I use Android Oreo in Xiaomi device)
Doesnt live stream to facebook. This company does not provide good support. They dont want to fix the rtmp to rtmps issue. Its a simple fix, but they are too lazy to do it. Dont buy from them. Waste of your investment!
I just want a simple software that can take 360 pics. I hope they have better and lighter version of this app.
Zero support from devs. Since Insta360 Air has been discontinued, it made the device useless if you want to use it as your 360 camera for Facebook Live.
when I try taking a picture with my bluetooth stick, it takes me back to menu instead of taking a picture. its like pressing the back button.
facebook linking problem has been rectified. Now wish they do something about the phone heat up very quickly even just opening the app (without attaching the camera)
It works well in Redmi Note 4 but i think it's a heavy app. It's a social photo sharing camera app and not just a camera app for insta air make it really heavy.
I'm unable to export my 360 footage locally. It kept saying failure after it hits 7%. I'm using mi max 2
app keeps freezing and won't let me sign up for an account. Makes the camera totally useless.
very buggy software. i have high end phone 3K is laggy ( i ahve 4k on my phone is software optimization got the camera on sale for 30$.. from bankrupt shop

main issue is unable to link to facebook, thus facebook live is not usable
More features, yes 360 tech is there. But what would kill 360 tech right now is software. Give us options to do more. More filters or integration to other mobile softwares. More options for the animation, include hyperlapses, timelapses, HDR mode. Many can be done on the software side of this. It gets attention at first, but it has to be more bold so people will talk about the product. Yes they have seen 360 video and photos, but whats yet to be seen? EASY FAST CUSTOMIZABLE USER FRIENDLY. Play!
