At first I thought it this app sucked till I played with it a bit. For 1 your phone must be compatible most of popular Droid phones are except for the s9.( I have a Google pixel) . You must update the software to the camera in the app or it will work poorly or not at all.The up date is in the settings go to about insta360 and click on the software number. 3 to use the video editing you have to have the stabilizer turned on. After this it works fine.
Really cool app with great features. Not only edit videos but make cool edits from 360 pictures and put stickers in them and animate virtual camera pans. But I do have to copy the data from the camera via otg and an exfat driver available from the appstore to the phone storage.
My experience with the app is good. I realise that the ios version offers a few more options but with my Honor 9, the app works very well with the camera. I'm sure the other reviews claiming its unusability is probably down to incompatible handsets.
bought android adapter and it didn't work. Already tried un/install app, update firmware on One, close/open app, reboot phone, otg function dis/activate. I know the adapter is good because it was shown that Insta360 looking for gps sinyal on the phone screen but somehow it didn't pass the shooting display screen.
Waste of precious time.. finally get one video to process successfully and view it anywhere other than your phone, the quality is absolute garbage. Wait another 2 years for this technology to work properly. I have waster money and precious time messing with this thing. All the camera is half good for is 360 pictures
I would say the camera is awesome... but pls... since you guys make software for android and windows, do spend a little bit more time to develop and support. I will not recommend this camera to anyone until better software support.
Terrible app for such a great camera. On Android when connected Bluetooth it doesn't allow live view. It just works like a remote. That's it.
Overall a good app, keeps crashing / giving export errors sometimes... but cutting down to 3-stars due to missing vital feature. PLEASE ADD ABILITY TO ADJUST ZOOM WHILE REFRAMING CLIPS USING PIVOT POINTS METHOD. ITS A MUST HAVE...
Dumped it's sample resource photos into my camera roll. Thats a pretty solid explanation of this app and its product. If you want an Insta360, get the One X, NOT this one.
Used to work very well on iphone. Now using cable to connect to android phone and connection is very random! Connects only when it wants to!
Horrible. Confusing. Doesn't work as it should. Can't reliably connect. Lousy instructions. All around horrible app.
I it is very different from the Apple version! I can't connect the camera properly via Bluetooth and see what I take.. Need improvement!
Terrible. I just want to use the camera with PC and it forces me to install this stupid app to ''register the camera'' (grab user information) and on top of that the app does not even work. Garbage
Never worked. Could never expert videos. Horrible app. Trying to return the cam but getting the run-around.
Would not connect my new s9+ to the insta one even after all the steps and buying an expensive new cable from them! Garbage!
Good thing there is a desktop app, because this one doesn't connect to the camera with Bluetooth or directly
App force closes each time I try to open it, tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. It used to work...
Crashes every time I try to edit a video. Next to useslrss, its 50/50 if you can do anything with it
It's horrible. Don't work in pixel (Android) phone. When I buy it they didn't tell me this would happen... Worst
the shooting screen opens but I keep getting error code 4001 when I try to livestream. using a Samsung S8.
been waiting for an update to see things change but looks like this aint a priority for them. Simply Horrible!
not that simple. does not work at all. can't read file I recorded. can u please fix this.
please update, i cant export when i selected more than 1 video, it said the photo album does not support blah blah
Not great, tried the Insta360 One out to see what the in app editing was like and it won't play video back on my phone. The photos show up just fine but once I click on a video file I just get a black screen with useless controls. I was thinking about buying the One R but if they can't get this to work I don't want to waste my money on a camera I can't use.
