InstaLab - The Instant Photo Editor

I am very happy with this app. It is easy to use, not intimidating, easy to understand and very straightforward app to use. I just wish that they update more features like adding stickers (shapes, washi tapes, flowers, etc.)features for the frames. I also experience problems in saving my photos in my gallery. I kept checking my gallery but it does not save there. I need to save it on my drive for extra guarantee. But all in all, this is a great app.

I personally love this app. It has a limited options on the editing part, however it is still fully capable of making my pictures look how I was aiming for them to. I wish there were a few more options when it came to edit, but overall i would highly recommend this app to anyone who is looking for a easy quick way to make there pictures look like they were taken on a polaroid camera.

awesome!!! Love that I can get the poloroid type of effect without needing to dish out money for film. I even printed them out from walgreens and they came out looking exactly like as if I had taken poloroid photos minus the feel. Still looked pretty cool in my scrap book.

Edit: yes, the app is free. Yet there's free apps out there that force less ads on the user. It's a decent app but I have one big gripe with it: if the chosen picture doesn't fill the entirety of the frame (no empty/blank spots), the app stretches the picture to fit automatically. I've had this happen multiple times. Even though there was a barely noticeable missing bit, the picture was stretched out of proportion. This issue paired with the number of ads means a 3-star rating at best.

it's great! A perfect little collection of filters, frames (think Polaroid) an adjustments, topped off with, again, a sweet little collection of fonts to use to put text on your image. Some photoediting apps are bogged down with so many filters & lights effects & frames & stickers that it takes FOREVER to edit a photo. And 75% of those resources are junk. Imagine taking a decent sized handful of the best filters, frames, etc. an making an app with them. That is what VNTG is!

This app recently updated from Polaroid Fx to InstaLab and nothing much as changed except 2 of the best polaroid frames have been removed, the one with the word polaroid on the frame & the one with the polaroid stripe off centre. Not sure why they were taken, those were the top ones in my opinion, so that's a negative. And a bit of work can be done with the adding text feature, it's not very adjustable, so I hope that gets looked at.

I love this app and the effects it has but during the previous update, the photos don't save to my gallery no matter how many times I press the save button. Another update was released recently and my photos save now but all their dates are set to 1970 and makes my folder disorganized. Other than that, the app does its job well!

Loving the app so far. Just downloaded but it's such a simple yet great little app. I don't even mind the adds since they're short and yall gotta get paid too. My only request is could you either add a color picker option for the boarder color. I like how you can buy new instant film in multiple colors like red or black for different aesthetics. Maybe an import feature when you could upload photos to use as the boarder design like starry nights and such.

Love this app!! Easy to use and free! Many different features for your pics. The print service is fantastic too! Just a week to receive them and a good print!! I would only appreciate more if you can keep editing a pic you already edited and saved, having something that allows you to do some changes would be perfect! But still, really recommended app!!!

Its okay i just hate the fact that there r so much adds and u just dont have the free space to take a picture without the adds popping up

Cool concept but it seems to have glitches. You go to save it and it says that it does and you open up your gallery and it's not there. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes you have to click things more than once to make it work. The sound like minor glitches, that the person who designed this app could fix.

Nice app, easy to use and gives great results. The only suggestion I have is maybe give names to the filters. It'd make them easier to find, give a better idea to people as to what vibe the filter is supposed to give, and if a person refers a friend to the app because of what they made, they can also give the name of the filter they used to help make it easier to find. That's the only improvement I can think of.

Liked it better when it was a camera vs editor. Why can't we have both? I've hardly used since the change. When you're out and about you don't have time or want to spend 5-10 mins taking a photo then editing to get specific Polaroid film types when b4 you simply take a photo and the presets were done... boom. Instant film!

it has really good features such as the filters and etc., but i have 2 problems with it. 1, it does not save pictures in your gallery, it only saves in the app's gallery, so it is a hassle to screenshot and crop every. single. time. 2., why does it taje uo so much space? this app does not have really a lot of features, so why take up so much space?

I like the app but have to dock some stars for the infuriating auto playing video ads. Edit: i honestly never saw the option to remove ads before you told me to look for it. You should make it available in the settings too. I've paid now and increased the rating, but you should at the very least stop the auto playing video sounds of blasting audio. If you use muted ads it'll be far less shocking.

Simple and easy to use. Super useful

the filters are unimpressive, my phone's camera does better than any of theirs, so all it really does is put text on the pics, which any other app can do. also, the ads are full volume, talking ads, that happen every time you do something significant. uninstalling.

The app is good. However, when I tried to save my instant photo in my gallery, it doesn't save. I can't find the photo in my gallery. I tried it a lot of times but still failed to save to gallery. There is no problem in the app's permission, I already checked it. I hope it get fix :(

There's too much ads

This app is amazing. There are many options to chose from even if you don't have the pro version. I love editing my pictures on this app. I haven't tried out the print service yet but I am going to soon. I recommended this app to my freind because she was looking for an app like this and she loved a lot. I have no issues with this app. LOVE IT! ❤️

It's a very good app but your every step is followed by ads which is very annoying. And it would be great if you could choose the color of the frames. Also if you could adjust the filters saturation and etcetra but it is a great app

This app is an amzing and useful. I love it because it is so much eaiser and cheaper than having to buy a whole brand new polairod camera. It has great quality and you can take images from your gallery and just take picture. One of the down sides is the adds, but other wise it's a great app!!

It's good, it has a lot of textures and borders to choose from, but really basic filters. If you could add some filters it would be better 👌 Good work tho, as the ads aren't even noticeable.

I love this app but please, fix the bug that applies an effect on top of the already applied effect (when you apply an effect and then you go to change the texture/border/whatever, and then you go to the effects again, and try to change the effect... it doesn't change, it applies it on top of the previous one!) :(

What a let down. When i finally found an insta editor, which i wanted mainly because i want to have a deep blue/ red or pure black etc border frame colors for my photo. But this app only has generic light colors lol. You cant even choose a color. Wp

The app keeps crashing. I deleted and reinstalled it and the photos I saved are not found in gallery. I searched for them in files and found them When I tried opening them, it kept saying unsupported file. Worst experience!

Easy to use app for turning your pics into Polaroid snaps. a choice of frames and filters with typing styles. Now I've had lots spare time isolating, been busy playing with my photos for. maybe a frame or 2 with worn edges might look nice?... 📸🤔😜👍

Can't exit the monopoly add at the end so I have to press install then exit the playstore and go back to instalab all to save my photo. Then the photo is completely stretched out and unusable. Can't save progress so you have to start all over again. Didn't have this problem before so why now? Fix it please.
