Google is blocking app from syncing with Google Fit due to IHR app is trying to access sensitive information in my Google Account. Google Fit has been a habitual failure with 99% of 3rd party fitness apps I have tried of which all are said by Fit to sync with the app but does not sync or only sync partial data. I have used nothing but the most common Fitness apps with downloads over 10 million and excellent reviews. It may be IHR or just Googl's gar age Fit app.
It hangs frequently on my Android 7 device. In opening the app, it sometimes just display a black or blank screen and nothing happens. When it works, it is not responsive. In measure mode, sometimes it will start to give readings on it's own even when I did not have my finger in the camera lens. I will be uninstalling. Thanks
So disappointed in the changes made to this app. I've used it for years now and it's been the best, until recently. Besides having to log in, the most recent update has made the app inaccurate and now takes ages to find a rhythm. The little heart icon that used to blink in sync with yours, which was convenient because it gave a visual to show accuracy, was helpful if you were checking your pulse along with the app is gone. The auto start is kind of annoying too. Cardiograph>Instant Heart Rate.
I tried this after reading a very favourable report on it, but what a disappointment. It started brilliantly, although the readings seem lower than the other two I have. And then, after a week or so, it became a useless piece of junk, practically. It took a long while to get a reading - had to reboot it several times. Now, it doesn't do anything at all. It turns on the flash, consuming battery, and not reading. The other two apps work fine. It was as though it tries to hook you (working fabulously in the beginning) then when it fails to convince you to fork up for a subscription, it stops working.
Readings would change dramatically , takes to long to read and the pop up for the premium comes up so much that I hit the purchase button by mistake and ended up charging me the app. Cancel the subscription but the only option is for the end of the billing cycle. Trying to get a refund but only way to communicate is by email. No phone number to call. Emailed them and get an email response that the email address is not found.
Was a perfectly fine app, sure it'd ask you to make an account on startup(for some reason) but otherwise decent. Suddenly added obstructive video ads that both slow down the app, and get in the way of actually measuring my heart rate. That's how you get deleted, there's better apps out there with the same function.
Ok it works but I bought a pro version years ago when they had 2 versions but then they got rid of the paid version, merged it, whittled away any benefits, put back intrusive ads, badgers you to set up a subscription and the app works more slowly. They certainly are trying to make this app worse and want to charge us another subscription. I need another subscription like I need another hole in my body. I don't. How and why I lost the paid version is beyond me.
The ease of use is just not there. Super interrupting to a workout. Had the same heart rate after one mile in and after an uphill sprint?? Takes minutes to get a measurement to the point where my finger starts to hurt from the heat of the flash! Crazy. But hey, it's free and you get what you pay for.
The startup was very slow, even slower than other apps, I suggest only load the most required components first, and load others after UI has loaded. I always used this after jogging with rapid heartbeats, when this was app fully started, my rapid heartbeat was already restored to normal, so I wasn't able to know how fast the rapid heartbeat was. MIUI, ViperOS or whatever, but result was still the same. Your UI design was already impressive, but for me, startup duration also important.
Maybe its my S9 but I can not ever get this thing to read. I put my finger on the camera lense and it never takes a reading until I find JUST the right position that aligns with the stars and planets and that will be after 5-10 minutes of futzing with the thing. Long story short, this app is harder to use than just putting your finger on your throat pulse and using a stopwatch for 10 seconds. Its not a very helpful feature for an app to rely on astronomical alignment to work.
As many others here; I can't connect to Google Fit, every time I try, the screen flashes incessantly. I tried sending an email to support, but it bounced. The HR function works quite well, but you really need to fix whatever it is that's been happening with the connection to Google Fit. It's been months!
Its accurate, and here's my proof. I compared this app side by side with a Pulse Oximeter, and the app was rarely off by 1 bpm from the reading on pulse ox. Did this a few times. This app is surprisingly accurate! This is a yes from me
Waste of time. Instant shouldnt be in the name. I tried 2 times and it never finished. It would say 10 seconds left then 2 minutes and one really hot finger later it still said 10 sec left. 2nd try started quicker I was down to 6 seconds to go and after a minute said 10 seconds left to go and another minute and another fried finger got nothing. Extremely unreliable. I would recommend a different app if you want actual results. Definitely uninstalling
This aap is also doing great job because it can find the heart rate of non living things. It's heart💔 breaking for developer but what I do for this. And salute those @developer who developed this worst things but I suggest you to Stop doing this because it's not just about you and think beyond this or think other thing and develop some use Full things.
The last update seems to have affected the performance of this app. It takes forever to detect that my finger is on the lense, let alone find the pulse. I also didn't like having to enter my email address to use it nor the push for the paid option. And why does this app need access to my contacts? Certainly not any functional purpose.
This can't be 100% accurate. Samsung s9 definitely has a scanner for taking reading this app completely ignores that. I burnt my finger a few times trying to use. The actual lense however did a reading, but its like why when its not made for that. During the reading I even got 135 bpm for a second before the final reading and I was laying down.
Very wonky app. Takes decent pulse measurements, but it often doesn't pick up the signal of the fingertip on the camera lens and it also forces the flashlight on that can't be turned off by you unless you open the ap again and shut it down before it registers itself to take a reading. Garbage app that freezes up the phone, too. Uninstalling. Much better apps available.
It worked only once, and then the app subsequently demanded that I create an account. Obviously, so they can sell my Private health information!!! Shameful!!!
Integration with Google Fit seems to be broken. When I select 'Connect with Google Fit' the whole screen starts flashing. If I 'long press' the screen, it stops flashing and shows a message 'Accepting permission is required to use Google Fit'. Google Fit shows the app as connected. The heart rate app shows as disconnected. I'm guessing it is something like failure in the app to display an 'accept permission' dialog.
This is very good technology, I used it when I thought my heart beat was too high and low. It's good to use it when you are in stress just to make sure.
Nice app. However lots of commercials and expensive to buy, or actually can't buy but expensive in-app purchases and to buy time limited license. Creators seems to think they have created something very valuable, however its just a simple little app with ONE useful function, to measure your pulse. It should be free and have a few commercials, in that case I would rate it 5/5
PLUS: Make sure your camera lens is clean, and your finger is properly placed on the camera lense without shaking. If your phone has no technical issues, it will give you an accurate reading. Checked manually several times, and compared with the app results. Accurate! MINUS: Few misreadings observed. Definitely pricey! Please revise your prices, and have more plans: one year, life time purchases etc. BOTTOM LINE: Love the app but I can't afford to pay this much. (My humble opinion. ) Thank you!
It does what it says, however when trying to link to Google Fit, the process gets blocked since the app tries to access sensitive info.
once i got a smart watch, no longer needed the app. I got a notice of the auto renewal was coming up. I could not find any link on how to stop payment. I noticed the app had the download button for install so I assumed they developer knew I no longer have the app on my phone and so he/they would not charge me. They did. Still can't get rid of the possibility of being charge in the future and want a refund, but that to is not on the web site. At 80 years of age, we get frustrated with trying to search sites for information that should be there. Even access to help is not available. So I blocked my google account and will no longer use it to pay for anything.
The app is great overall. It has some bugs such as the one where the measurement doesn't want to start again after you just did one. Also, the ads seems to be the reason for this bug. They need to implement the adds better. An option to measure your heart rate for how much you want(without time limit) would be great.
