This is the BEST visual voicemail app available anywhere. my default voicemail app stopped working, so I tried several other apps many of which didn't work at all, or were not USER friendly! if you want an easy to Use VISUAL VOICEMAIL app, that just works, this is it!!! Try it now, it's AWESOME, and you're gonna LOVE IT!!! The support team is GREAT, if you have any trouble just click "help" and leave a text. they'll get you fixed up!!! NICE job, this is an AMAZING APP! Thank you!!!!
I really wanted to like this app, as anything else would be better than the stock T-Mobile VM app, but the fact that you have to purchase credits in order to transcribe voice messages is a deal breaker for me. The only other thing I find lacking is the ability to easily select functions/options on the VM messages left. I think these need to have a larger selection area to delete or do other things with them, especially while being mobile. It would be nice to have a dark theme as well. What impressed me though, are all the added features this app provides. The setup and deactivation processes were relatively simple to do, which was a nice surprise. If, during the phone call activation step, it fails to work for you, just go back one step and try it again (worked for me). Is only VM transcriptions were not meted out by credits you buy, I'd be all in on this app ;(
The description for this app is misleading. It is not in addition to your usual voicemail service; it completely replaces it, which is something not mentioned anywhere in their description. All voicemails and missed call alerts instead go through them. I then had to go through the hassle of terminating the service, which does not happen automatically when you delete the app. You have to call a number specific to your carrier. The service should have been more transparent about all of this.
This app is just all around bad. Customer service is less than useless. Every time I tried to verify my phone number/sim card (apparently both worked) I would get the notification confirming my number was verified. When I went back to the voicemail tab it was like I was back to square 1. Every. Time. It wouldn't sync to my voicemail box. I don't have on forwarding or any other voicemail apps installed. It would be hard to convince me this app isn't bogus and is just collecting your data. Beware!
Not user friendly and very misleading in use. The whole design needs a major overhaul. From the beginning I noticed i missed voicemail notifications all the time. When you read the fine print you are forwarding your calls to their system. Even if you delete it, you have to call a special number to deactivate their service. Seems like it wanted permissions for everything too which seems suspicious to me.
Generally a pretty good app, but it's time to move on. The in-app deactivation option doesn't work. I got errors that made no sense. I had to contact support, who gave me correct instructions, after a day or 2. That was frustrating. The app also could use options to turn off missed call notifications. Most people don't need them, their phone already has that built in. Not to mention, it shows rejected calls as missed calls. It's not a missed call if I saw it, then rejected it! VM was decent.
I wish I had the last 40 minutes of my life back. This app is NOT Ready for prime time. I tested it using Skype and it did not work at all. Tried from Google Hangouts, and it worked, but not as expected. Got a missed call notification, but nothing about a voice mail. Added notifications to my email, and that was also a bad experience. Support was very poor also. The guy (named Emily) finally just stopped responding on chat support. They charge for transcription of each message. If I could only get Google Voice to work...
I just installed it and tested everything out. It all works on my Samsung Galaxy Sky with Android 6.0.1. My carrier is Tracfone Verizon. I reinstalled instavoice on a new Samsung Galaxy A10e with Android 9. It works fine, except it stops seeing calls and doesn't record voice mails after a few weeks. It did the same thing on my old phone. Reinstalling fixes the problem. I am going to try reinstalling it once a week. Let us know if you make any progress with finding the bug.
Love that I can keep basically infinite voicemails, and is much more convenient than calling into an actual voicemail account. Recently had an issue where I wasn't able to hear any audio after someone left a voicemail. However, the support they provide through their "help" chat is very responsive, and I managed to have the issue resolved in less than a day. Great service, great support. Thanks for that. More apps should strive to be like this.
I love this app, it's great no adds, no payment, simple and easy to use. My only complaint is the fact that you can't select multiple voicemails/missed calls and delete them, you have to do it one by one which is annoying. The UI need an update, add more in depth notification settings, make easier shortcuts to share/send an email of the voicemail. Overall it's an amazing app and doesn't advertise itself at the end of the voicemail like other apps, so it's a winner for professional voicemail app
Very good option for those with an unlocked phone and no visual voice mail from carrier. No issues to date. 4/30/20 Update: App is very good. Does what is says without any issues. My only request is getting the ability to multi-select to delete. The current method has the used selecting 1 line item at a time; It's not the end of the world, but would be a nice to have.
Works as promised, stable, very powerful. Absolutely worth a try. does things most others can't: Many features. Still using after almost 2 years -which says something- user interface is still somewhat non-intuitive, BUT new message management features are a huge improvement much more efficient; not quite swipe right to keep, left to delete; but BULK select & delete IS GREAT. Customer Service has been both responsive & fast. This is really an impressive app. Well done & thank you again.
I installed this, but the option to set it as default was grayed out and it never recorded any messages. On 02/16/21 I reinstalled the app and it shows now as registered, however I have problems with my carrier's voice mail, so I'm not able to get voicemail. I guess the InstaVoice is working as expected. Changing the rating from one star to 4. I will complete my rating once I get voicemail fully functioning from Altice Mobile company.
THIS IS A TERRIBLE APP! DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT! Not intuitive at all, I couldn't figure out how to properly get it set up, it wasn't doing anything so I uninstalled it, 2 WEEKS after attempting to set it up it started messing with my voicemail. Now I can't access my voicemail and anyone that tries to leave one gets an error message. I tried to follow their steps to deactivate and it doesn't work. There's no way the people rating this 5 stars are real users. They're getting paid for their reviews.
UPDATED: Best Visual Voicemail app for Android I've found by far, responsive support, and easy to use App. Still struggling with contacts sync, but apart from that it works perfectly. Keep it up! UPDATE: I've just heard back from the developer and an update to fix the contacts sync issue is coming soon!! ✌️
pros supports multiple phones blocking feature free cons 1. contacts are all messed up. you can't edit in the app. no way to fix it. 2. no way to select all messages to say read or viewed. 3. not many options, over simplified. 4. Not properly giving notifications to either my Note 8 or Note 9. Sad this app really has been lacking in the feature department while others like youmail are progressing. Should make regular updates, I'd pay a 1 time fee for a good app.
Charges you without confirmation- I clicked a button with no label and it credited a charge to me for a service I didn't even know what it was or consent to be billed for
Installed for visual voicemail, but the app takes over all missed calls and messaging. Tries to force user to text through their app and view missed calls within their chat thread. Impossible to turn off these features, basically hijacks your phone without any notification customization. Uninstalling & searching for a better visual voicemail app. Too bad.
Excellent voicemail service and a great alternative to other services which charge a lot and deliver less. Really like the functionality and setup was a breeze. Really nice to be able to access voicemails on the Web too for those days you accidentally leave your phone at home. Great work guys!
Changed my provider even though number transfered doesn't work. Cant deactivate asks for sim with my number but the new sim does now have my number.
Awful. It hijacked my number - I couldn't send/receive normal texts, and when I tried to deactivate and uninstall, I was told there was no Sim card with my number in my phone (untrue) so the deactivation couldn't take place. My requests for help on the app's chat help function are being ignored. I wish I could turn back the hands of time and NOT install this app!
