I love this app and have worked a good amount of shifts. It's convenient and helps people make some income. I just don't like how you automatically get disqualified from leveling up for the next month if you cancel a shift. I understand that they depend on workers to show but sometimes canceling is the only option like if someone gets really sick for example. They should at least look at history of gigs worked or something instead of automatically disqualifying for following month.

Great side hustle app for anyone in the service industry. You can find gigs for BOH, FOH, event set up, general labor, warehouse work, forklift drivers, etc. The app could improve : The quizes: they seem unprofessional & thrown 2gether w/out care to use proper terminology. The training: could be a lot more helpful & useful. *I have an older phone running on Android 4.4.2 & this app isn't compatible w/my device. I have to use my tablet which makes it difficult to clock in/out.

I really don't like that we have to be part of your ranking to get tipped. That's % not right, anybody who has worked for tip knows that. This app could use a little work, but really does a decent job... but not getting tipped 'til you've worked X amount of time to unacceptable!! And when I try to email directly about my problem I received a message (from this network) saying you don't check that email. IT'S YOUR HELP LINE WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT'S NOT CHECKED?? That's one of the most important!

So far it's functionality is impressive. I've got everything setup and booked my first gig. I was operating a front loader the day before. No phones are allowed not that I could find time to use a phone. I missed the window to verify my shift by 11 minutes and immediately contacted support but couldn't get the shift or remove the blemish. The window to confirm opens 24 hours prior to shift and closes 16 hours prior so keep that in mind it's important. Hope they create a way to erase mistakes.

Essentially a pay to play app. Good luck landing a shift without paying for premium service. And even still shifts are far and few. I live in a large city and see maybe 1 or 2 shifts on a good day. Then to apply for that shift you need to take a million quizzes and your profile is still incomplete which alone is infuriating. Tldr: you need to pay for premium or you're screwed. Even then still not worth it. Too few jobs and too much effort to find them.

slow to read and respond to customer service emails. they penalize with no warning and without verifying the action that is being penalized actually happened. There's no way to talk to a person only through the app chat and email. The selection of shifts is great. just need better customer service response and a phone number to call if you get no response or if it's a time sensitive issue .

I've worked one shift through Instawork so far, and have another one booked, and it was a great experience! I went into the shift knowing what was expected of me, and I got paid exactly when they said I would. I gave 4 stars only because there wasn't much variety of shifts for my area, only one place in my immediate area, others required some travel. I will keep using the app as long as there is shifts available for my area.

The app is extremely anti-worker. I put my profile to only show shifts within an hour's distance from me, yet 99% of the shifts I see are several states away. They say that if your shift is cancelled within 12 hours you'll get paid for half the shift, but they use loopholes to get around that, not paying you if it was cancelled due to weather. They also sign you out if your phone service disconnects and won't let you sign in without a text code, so if you have a shift you can't clock in.

Like this App alot so far very user friendly and seems very legit. Only downside for me is that I have not been able to book a shift yet due to no opportunities close to my area, but unlike other apps that I've encountered with same issue I'm not giving up on this one. It seems to be growing pretty rapidly, so I'll wait it out I have a good feeling about it.

I signed up for an account, was hoping to work a few of these gigs to earn some extra income.. After going through the process of creating an account and filling out my information, it says there are no gigs available in my region. For anything!!! After closing the app and re-opening it, THEN it tells me that Instawork isn't available in my area yet. How annoying.

Too hard for beginners to get gigs. I have signed up to be a paid backup but the shift does not show up in my, my shifts account. When asked customer service they just told me to look in my account. There needs to be a way where they can help when issues like this arrive. Also I shouldn't be booted from a shift if that is the case because a better candidate came along. How can anyone really get work if that is the case? There is already a shortage of work shifts in my selected area.

Don't attempt the background verification everything was great until I filled out the background application. My case is still pending after 4+ days, although it states only one day. I sent messages to staff in the app and have received no response!!

Seems to be a pretty great app for picking up shifts. One major downside to the app, there is no option to limit how many miles away you are willing to go. 17 - 22 an hour is okay, but not if I have to drive two hours to get there.

I've worked for several hospitality apps, and I've got to say this is the best by far. This is the only app that I have seen allow such networking among the employees and I think that is great. I wish there was a few more shifts but anyways that was great.

It's so helpful and convenient when the extra money is needed, it not only gives you shifts in your area but, it also gives you training for other jobs and it is so awesome.. Not only are you helping the companies with a reliable worker but, you're giving yourself more experiences which means more opportunities.

GARBAGE! No way to contact support! I've been waiting nearly two months for several applications to be approved. I've fulfilled all requirements and I'm still waiting. Very frustrating when your trying to make money and YOU CAN'T!

I love this app it's completely tailored to finding work and being able to showcase employment skills. It's easy to use and has never crashed on me. The only thing I've had a bit of a hard time with is the w2 request because my state doesn't require it and the neighboring state where I find work at does require it for some higher paying jobs. I was advised it's a glitch that's being worked on but otherwise it's an awesome earning app.

Everything is set up and has gone incredibly smooth thus far. I love the interface. Customer service responds super quick. While I anxiously wait for shifts to become available in my area, I'm going to help spread the word about this app to my local businesses and get $100 in referral credit for each one that joins! THAT will be my local side gig.l😜 lol I'll petition for signatures of other interested freelancers like myself to help convince the businesses that they NEED to sign up! 🥰

No problem signing up and it looks like a cool app. My problem is that after putting in my zip code it shows jobs that are almost 2 hours or more away. None of the jobs were local so that doesn't do me any good. 🙁

App works but the support is ABYSMAL. THE WORST COMMUNICATION IVE EVER HAD WITH ANY EMPLOYER. Its confusing to reach out to someone for help and whenever you do actually get someone to reply, it's no help AT ALL. They explain your problem back at you and close the chat. I've been trying to get clear communication and help with my payments and adjusting shift hours and getting my bartending license approved for OVER A MONTH. It's such a simple solution but their communication makes it 100x worse.

Worked over 20 gigs through this app. Everything was good until the last two gigs where my hours started changing without my authorization in one case my pay also went down. I was given totally different shifts and have screen shots of my hours to prove it. My hours changed from 5pm-1:30am to 9 am-5:30 pm opposite shifts!!! I was not allowed to reject the new hours or it would say I canceled. Contacted instawork and support and they are overseas and didn't help acted like scripted bots

Someone I know told me about this app and they're always getting shifts. I only gave them 4 stars because I have not yet picked up any shifts but soon as I do I will change it to 5stars. So far they seem amazing and simple. I'm looking forward to picking up shifts and working at my own pace and time
