From an 88 key piano tuning view, in my opinion, this is the standout best of the basic tuners. The needle meter display holds well, as the string volume fades. TuneLab is the only app that is better, in my 40+ years of experience, if you want the US$300 investment, but it is a full-on pro analytical tuner which would be well over most of our heads.
Thanks for making a free and ad free tuner app. I appreciate your service. I was amazed that the app lets me calibrate the "A" pitch to and external audio source. This is key for my use as we tune pipe organs onto themselves often - not to some standard. However I can't really use it because we need to be able to calibrate to any of the 12 notes not just "A". That's what the paid app cleartune on iOS lets us do, but they don't make that for Android. Anyways, thanks for all your work regardless!!
IMO the best tuning app out there. Fair policy, no ADS, no BS! Easy to use, gorgeous-looking. Even the free version has all the features I need. Matthias Gebauer, you rock! You made my life much easyer...
AWESOME! WORKS SOOOO WELL!! I have tried MANY tuning apps, and ALL OF THEM have been TERRIBLE.....always having to be restarted/closed out, ALWAYS getting stuck/freezing on lower or higher notes (tuning a piano btw) and they were hardly ever accuratr....ALWAYS varying pitch recogintion from one to another, BUT............I downloaded this app today, and was able to IMMEDIATELY TUNE MY PIANO! From A0 to C8!!!! She's never been this in tune! I'm thrilled! Thanks for the ABSOLUTELY GREAT APP!
I have tuned pianos by ear for decades. Right now I'm using a combination of this and my aural tuning skills. I am fairly certain it is increasing my accuracy, both my hearing, and the pitches of the piano strings. it's always pleasing when I tune it by ear and then use the instrument tuner, and I'm either accurate or off by 1 cent or so.
V good, I like the sound back so I can hear to tune and use the -+ cents to zone in for accuracy, with plucked strings there is a fluctuation high to low so nice have that displayed whilst listening
A really great app for tuning.... I have used from many different devices.... And I have used a lot of tuner apps, still this is the best 🥰🥰
Honestly just pretty perfect, does the job, the chromatic tuner is nice and the info it gives you is useful, 0 issues
I only have very simple, basic requirements of this application. I want a tuner; that's all. But it fulfils that rôle fine.
Simple, easy to operate, yet quite accurate for various instruments. I was using it to teach undergraduate students for tuning angklung
great app does what its made for i use it for ukulele high and low g tuning. has lots of options and a pro version even more so. im sure experienced musicians would find this app extremely competent for thei r needs
No explanation for what the dial means either left or right of zero. I simply match the tone given to how I hear my strings and make the needed adjustments.
Easy to use both for tuning reeds in my concertinas. I habitually compare it with a specialist discreet tuner and with the tone generator on my electronic metronome. It it sufficiently accurate for repitching my concertinas
Works perfect with Huawei 20. A shame App store doesn't have a great free app without extremely intrusive ads. The very reason I prefer Android and all affordable great apps.
Great app, if you are an instrumentalists.. I am learning flute, as its very important to tune your flute, its very helpful in tuning perfectly.
Not the easiest to use, but it has helped me a lot with tuning by ear as it gives a sound you can try to copy. Personally I recommend it!
I use a Peterson strobe tuner to tune a variety of stringed instruments in my everyday work . This is much easier. Great app !
Works really well! Simple but easy to use, and covers guitar and ukulele which is what I was looking for.
It's still awesome! It"s a fantastic chromatic tuner with lots of options that never annoys me. Thank you!
Easy to use, the meter is easy to read, shared with a friend and his playing improved.
When i accidentally used my mic to set the pitch it went up in the thousands. No way I'll manually press down a thousand times or more to get it back to 440.
Better for tuning French horn than most French horn tuners. And this isn't even a French horn tuner. All I need is to tune my c to an f and it's great. Also, it might just be my microphone, but I doubt the highest note I can play is "-3000"
Very useful. For those who can't find their instrument, just use the chromatic scales.
Very handy to tune my Autoharp with an easy to read display. Seems very accurate.
Sufficient ballast in the signal processing to give steady useable readings. Excellent.
Does its job well. All the feature necessary. Reliable. Not bloated. KEEP IT THIS WAY!
I use this, not only to tune my violin but as a continuous pitch against which I play my scales. In daily use. Thanks
This works well for tuning my violin so that I can play music that sounds correct. Beginner here; use it all the time.
Very good tuner. The only problem is that it needs a reset button to put it back to the original calibration in case the user accidentally adjusts it. I Uninstalled it 2x attempting to reset it then finally figured out the I had to make the "adjusted custom value" 440. This meant I had to hit the little adjust button more than 400 times to correct it from the I correct setting of 30.
