Intelligent Home Center

IHC is a super app you can enable all your home appliance smart and control them from any where at any time. You can interact with smart hardware via your mobile phone easily , and get interoperability between intelligent hardware.

Note: continued use of location services in the background will reduce battery life.

Easy to use with many integrations. But unfortunately the connection with Google Home is intermittently lost, so I can't trust the voice control. Also, it would be very good to have an option to turn off a device after X minutes, every time it is turned off. I got a towel heater that I turn on after bath, but then I got to remember to turn it off.

This is the worst automation app and one of the worst apps I've used. It will work ok for a while, then every few days for a month it will change all your timers so they're at different times - but only for one device. Around daylight savings it always gets timers wrong. The interface is terrible. There is no support even though this is a free app for a paid product. The last update 13 Nov completely broke things, I can't connect at all any more. Broadlink is cheap for a reason, save yourself the trouble, pay more for a quality, supported product.

It works, kinda. I was hoping that the reviews of the app were a bit too critical, but sadly it turns out they are right... the app needs a lot of work. Users should have the possibility of creating their own remote / buttons layouts. The standard layouts are too limited. The app hangs while learning IR codes. Missing an OFF button (some devices have an OFF button that is separate from the ON button).

Used to be a great app. Now suddenly they want access to everything on my phone: contacts, phone calls, etc. There's no reason to have access to anything on my phone. Beware as they might try to get personal info off of your phone. Uninstalled. ,..............................Thanks for the reply but I don't believe that. The app worked just fine before WITHOUT having access to my contacts, phone calls, etc. Try again.

Terrible. Latest update broke everything and then it has started working again but no longer controls my air conditioner. Used to have the option to try different settings to find the one for your model, mine was the 9th out of 10. This option is no longer available and the cloud settings do not work, useless paperweight. Why change something that was working???

Gradually increasing in features which is great. I can now control many aspects of my TV and other devices via Google Assistant. Frustratingly however, even though it controls things successfully, when I try to open the media device control panel on my Google Home it quickly covers them with a screen saying 'That mode isn't available for (name of device)'. Similarly each time I issue a voice command it works, but then displays the same message on screen. Hopefully this can be resolved soon!

The app's contain a lot of bugs and keep crashing or freezing during set-up. Eventually I got through the set-up of the remotes and now I can ask my Google assistant to activate 'movie mode' which is pretty awesome. Still there are two problems for me: You can only send a button 'press' signal and no 'hold' which some remotes use to dim the lights for example. Also you can't add a separate on and off button to a remote, this needs to be the same button. For projectors this mostly isn't the case

I was able to connect ok, and the remote functions just fine. However the app only provides 7 mostly useless buttons for my amp, putting the volume controls under 'more'. I'd like to be able to customise which buttons are listed at the bottom, or have them all displayed, it's currently just as easy to use the physical buttons. The initial adding of my amp/tv was long and arduous, but have been able to use the scenes mode to get voice control working.

Reasonable hardware. Awful software. Adding the RM Minis took ages and was real hit and miss. After spending days trying to add a second one I finally got it all to work. Great. Except it didn't last. One power cut then one RM works fine and the other works ok but only from the IHC app. All voice control not working on that RM now. Wasted far more time maintaining these things than i ever did just using device remotes! Seriously if you have any other option, don't choose Broadlink!!!

Very good App. Would it be possible to add a power off and power on to the TV template as the power toggle can sometimes do the opposite of what you actually intended. Also, would be nice to be able to add IR codes without having to learn them. If you no longer have a working remote. All said and done still a really grate app. Keep up the good work. Thanks Dave

Pairing doesn't work. The normal way of providing a 2.4GHz Network and password does not find any device. Using "other method" by connecting to the "BroadlinkProv" Access Point doesn't work either, the app doesn't proceed to the next step, although the phone is connected to the access point. The app is generally lacking a lot of UI-optimization and functionality. The only good thing is the ability to use the devices on google home and export IR-Device codes.

All 4 of my remotes used to work with Google Home, but as of a few days ago, just stopped. Unlink and re-link works, and the GH says it's performing the requested action, but nothing happens. All devices still work with this app, but that's not why I bought them; if I wanted to push buttons on a remote, I'd just use the remotes that came with the TVs, etc.. Now, I have 4 useless pieces of black plastic.

Good features but unstable. Set up with my RM mini 3 and Sanyo TV was smooth. The app meets you set up sequences of commands for your devices, with user set delays in between to allow the device to respond. Integration with Google Home / Assistant is good but not great. Voice commands must be set up as scenes in ihc, then prefaced with 'activate' for Google. App is unstable. I get multiple messages each day telling me it's stopped, even when I'm not actively using it. I'm on a Samsung S5.

It's fine. Occasionally unreliable but no more so than similar apps that control a mix of hardware. The big problem is the loss of the timers which are still running but not modifiable, so lamps are turning on in what is daylight now that winter has passed. The Europe version still has timers and tends to play better with Google home, but I don't particularly want to go through the laborious process of rescanning remote control codes and reprogramming all my scenes.

Update: 19Nov2018 App has started to work. Can now use with Alexa and Google Home. Would be nice to be able to add extra delays in scenes (at start or end and not just in between commands). Note that this app completely relies on the back end service and is useless without it. Doesn't seem to cache setup data locally. Ver 1.9.20. It will complain about no network connection if the back end service is down.

i have been a big user of broadlink and i like the durability and stability of the hardware. just that the app have a lot of space for improvement. here's a few: 1. timer for user defined remote, as many has feedback, please bring the timer back. its very useful for a lot of us. 2. s2 security alarm push notification doesnt work. hence its as good as useless if we cant be warn of any intrusion via push notification. please fix it. 3. there is a bug in adding rm mini that it cant add.

It does work but is not very functional. It is lacking in many areas, for example: I needed to add my stereo manually - ok that can be expected it's a bit older. Tried to code it as audio... No useful actions there, went with userdefine device. Coding each button was easy BUT I have a limited choice of icons - I'd prefer using the ones for audio - cant find them. After coding my device I learned that I cannot use a timer on it- WHY? this makes no sence - it should not matter for the timer if it will use a factory function or a user coded one. To be honest it looks as if someone coded the app without testing if it makes sense and is user-friendly afterwards.

W. J. W. Apr 22, 2019

for older equipment that is not capable of responding to Wi-Fi but is capable of responding to infrared, I set these radios up as USER-DEFINED. as such I was able to customize each button to do what I wanted and to define it that way. now, in a previous version USER-DEFINED also included timer functions. this has now disappeared. please put it back in. this has caused a large inconvenience as we are no longer able to control what was previously programmed and our equipment is misbehaving.

This app is very buggy and crashes every time if you switch to another WiFi access point or temporary disconnect WiFi. So annoying! Support of BroadLink is equal to 0. They do not even care to send you feedback, even after some pretty much kind reminders. Simply useless! Update: Will you EVER fix a bug that app gets crashed if to switch to another WiFi access point or 4G? This issue is pending now for so long.

Sha. M. Dec 11, 2018

Edit - it worked well after another update. But only for a while. Not able to add devices any more. Thankfully i added 3 devices when it was working. But 2 of them are again facing same issues. Just like everyone mentioned...after the latest update everything is messed up. network error, script error, download error etc. Not able to find or add devices anymore

Excellent app and had been working perfectly with my Google home assistant routines. As of 02/11/2018 the link between IHC has suddenly stopped working entirely. I can link and unlink the service within home app fine. The scenes still appear as devices within the home app. Triggering the scenes via an 'activate ' now will not work. Any help would be appreciated! I was enjoying the app so much before this.

Fine but lots of glitches When i tried to control the Tv and the Set-top-box with Alexa.. Alexa always responds as "I Couldn't find any enabled video skills which can do that" And when i say 'change the volume up by 10' it only makes a difference of 2 or 3 (e.g from 10 to 13).. any other command will make a diff. of 1. Usually Alexa responds as "TV/Set-top-box doesn't support that" The App crashes a lot on all the android versions. Can i email ? So it's easier..

Nic. V. Apr 16, 2019

biggest issue I and othera who I know use this is, when you tell alexa to turn something on it will turn the device on and then off really quick, as if its sending the signal twice really fast. it has been doing this for over a year, I am surprised it hasn't been fixed. buttons have been relearned many times, the device is sending the same IR code multiple times

Thanks for reply. I had re-configure RM device then i had add tv once again. I try to re-learn for example ON/OFF & volume buttons repeatedly, unfortunately not detected/response from TV. No error message pops up. Like i mentioned before, all buttons for TV & smartbox (Astro box) i configured successfully. However, after i update last month this apps, it always shows the message "Unfortunately, ihc has stopped". This message pops up when i turned on/off my wifi on my smartphone.
