Interactive Four-Stroke Engine

This is a great app for seeing what really goes on inside an engine while its running. There is one bug I found, when you click the valve springs its still calls it a poppet valve instead of a valve spring. Fix this bug for a 5 star from me. It would also be nice if there were different types of engines and more engine parts. "Boxer, I6, SOHC,Rotary, I8, V8, V10,V12,V16,W16." / Turbos, superchargers, etc. This app can be so much more. :]

Its OK if someone has NO idea how an ICE engine works. If the graphics engine permits, showing the fuel / air and exhaust cycles with a 'flame out' on combustion would be good. . I had to move the slider near the top to get a good representation. The pistons have no rings (?). Audio doesn't match engine speed, especially at 'idle' And the 'idle speed' looks way too slow it looks more like 'starter motor' speed maybe my tablets too slow.But this is very good though. Work in progress 👍.

Nice App but have 4 suggestions- No1.Use the more common firing sequence of 1-3-4-2 . No2. Hope you can add a rev counter with rpm status. No 3. Be more detailed in parts "exaust camshaft or intake valve". No4 Add more parts. Your animation and sound is good..

I love it but every time I try and open the app up it just says "unfortunately engine has stopped" please fix note 4

How is it that it can show an engine and basic components, and only list about half of them? It does not show any information on valve springs, cams, can gears, timing gear, water jackets, cylinder head, combustion chamber, connecting rods, crank counter balance weights, or injectors. It's a nice idea for an app to explain the basics to a student or someone that is curious, but it it's very much incomplete. Even for a very basic visual, it falls short of being useful. Also the spark doesn't always show.

Immediately force closes itself when opened. Shame, was looking forward to using it.

Does not show all parts and it would be nice to have a diesel engine option because they run of the decompression of the cylinder rather then compression also the sound / rpm were completely out of sync

Tried to open the app several times and nothing. And removed the game then installed it gain and nothing still.

I am a mechanic and own a shop as well as doing mobile.repair on their side. I wanted to use this to.show customers how things work to better explain things. This app will not open at all. I downloaded it and have never been able to use it.

I go to I open app and it comes up with message saying "sorry Engine has stopped working"

Previously on a Sony Special, worked great. Used almost every week with pupils. New phone in Jan 2016. Won't open. Great pity

I'll click on the app and a pop up will tell me that it has stopped.

This app won't even open before I get an error notice telling me the app has stopped working.

It doesn't work on my Huawei p8 lite I'm a car guy and I was really looking forward to playing this game not happy

When I try to open the app it says the app is stopped if this issue is fixed I'll give 5stars

Just downloaded the app and the dang thing won't even open, it just keeps saying that it's not working

Every time starts the app it giving me an error message '' unfortunately engine has stopped'' ..

It doesn't work on my Samsung Galaxy Note 3. It crashes instantly every time.

I would like to see the other essential parts of the engine in a future update.

The firing order is incorrect. I would correct that if someone was to use this app for educational purposes.

Cool to watch, terminology of parts is a little dated though I don't think anybody has used the term "poppet" valve in 70 years.lol

I really like this app. It shows the actual speed of the engine at idle and at high speeds. All this 4 cylinder engine needs is higher speeds and all the combustion gases. Now what the app needs is a LOT more engines to show like the Diesel engine, boxer engines, multicylinder engines, and Wankel rotary engines in single rotor and multirotor forms. It can compete with the Trans4motor app that is only on iOS devices

This just needs emphasis ín switching between DOHC and SOHC configurations. VTEC and VVT options would be great to show different cam profiles.

Very well laid out. It makes it very easy to help explain to people how the internal combustion engine works
