Interactive Story
Create and share your very own text adventure. Interactive Story provides all the tools you need to create, test and publish your own interactive fiction. Share privately with your friends or publish to the world in the public library. Access to the library and the authoring tools is completely free.
Interactive Story also supports collaborative authoring. For fun or for education, the Interactive Story collaborative mode allows any number of individuals to add and modify their own actions, events and scenes to a story. The story development is automatically coordinated within the cloud. Each action and scene acknowledges the author and can be rated by the readership. Interactive Story offers a fresh approach to creative writing, making story telling a social engagement that is educational, challenging and fun.
The Interactive Story portal has four sections, the Editor, the Library, the Reader and the Collaboration.
The Editor:
- is designed to be used on any device regardless of screen size.
- uses a writers approach to Interactive Fiction. Think in terms of scenes with events with actions, where objects and items facilitate the the story progression.
- is tightly integrated with the full development life-cycle (write, test, review, publish and sell).
- is completely free form, there is no special syntax or style to learn.
- prompts you at each stage of the story development, just like playing a game.
- provides bookmarks that let you to test immediately from any scene.
- supports offline editing within your browser.
- allows export and import of story data as XML files.
- lets you publish to your own private online library, which you can download and edit from any other device.
The Library:
- has a children's, teenager's, and mature section.
- lets you develop, collaborate and test your stories in your own private library.
- lets you publish and optionally sell in the public library.
- automatically organizes your collection into published, purchased and currently reading.
- automatically bookmarks your stories in the cloud
- continue reading from one device to another.
- supports direct hyperlinks to any story, both public or private.
The Reader
- automatically provides three levels of story interaction
- normal, easy and casual.
- provides an automatic hint system built into each story.
- easily creates and stores bookmarks in the cloud.
- allows preview of the first 'n' scenes (if selling).
- optimized for use on all screen formats.
- optionally lets other readers export to the editor.
- provides a built in rating system for stories and individual scenes.
The Collaboration
- write the opening scene(s) of your collaborative story and publish to your private library.
- invite your friends or school group to read and add to the story.
- other readers / co-authors can export directly from the reader to the editor and add new actions and scenes to the story.
- each author is in full control of their part of the narrative, authors can only change their own scenes and actions.
- every action in the story can be rated by the participants / readership.
- create open ended interactive virtual worlds through the power of words.

App is amazing for writers or people who enjoy stories but wish you could pick and choose. Overall it is one of the best apps I've ever used and is the best app for interactive stories!
I like this apps but there's a editor that I dont get it. I understand how to make a story but I need this, how to delete the choices when required and when I press the number of the action, the number becomes gold and the outcome was appear, when I test my story, The outcome appear above the starting story, It looks awtfull, how do i cancel this outcome? thats my problem so pls fix or update your apps π
Good, but I wish we could add custom button layouts, add images, or something as simple as changing the background as well. Thanks in advance.

A good light story maker, I've been looking for an app that makes you choose stories for a while now, and its perfect; ever since bundler an old story app was tooken off the store this one has replaced it
Very useful and easy app for creating text-based adventures especially for me who does not know how to code. Good job to the developers and I hope they will continue to update this app. I see a lot of potential in it!

Superb game but I liked the previous red colour version more so could you please bring back the original version back

I am in love with this app, its easy to use and fun to write Text based RPG for.
I cannot save my work, and I've had to rewrite the same story at least five times. Is there some sort of patch that I need?
What more can I say? It's simple and it works. Though I would like for it to support gifs.

It is a good idea but it needs a lot of work. It is hard to create a story, it seems straight forward but it is hard to navigate through it. Often things are switched around, it's hard to make it go to all one singular scene and very confusing to make it to what you want. More effort than it is worth. Most stories are never discovered because if you are a common member your stories are not listed in the library.
Updating my review as the app is working marvelously now. I'm very impressed at how easy it is to make a simple work of interactive fiction with this program. The features it has seem to work pretty flawlessly. It has some small issue, for example it can run a little slow at times if the structure becomes complex and the "add image" feature doesn't seem to be implemented yet. But it's a solid little app. I really hope some more features will be added.
Great, yet a bit confusing/(misfunctionality how I wanted some certain things to work were too hard to G.U.I.-ishly wrap my understanding of them around ) still G to the reat though better than three sets of 9 thousand something radio majiggs pretending to be radar-ded enough to have the radar strength to make a harp or haaarp or whatever sound like a broken flute... Do you understand? That's why numbers colors in foods is lymphomas all over the kool-aid mans skrote yo! Wreckanize! Nickle! Nickle, nick
Im struggling with trying to work out how to test an unfinshed story to see what your work looks like so far. Can anyone tell me how to do this? (Edit: Thanks for your reply. I can see how this works now.) So far this program seems simple enough to use but its taking a while to get used to going back and editing a scene.For example. I created an opening scene and a choice with an outcome. I didn't make that choice go to another scene. Now I want to edit that choice so it DOES go to a new scene but I can't figure out how to do that. If it wasn't for the confusing interface this would be a great program. In fact its the only interactive fiction writing system for android that I've come across that reliably works! I have dabbled with Twine on the PC before and would love to see something akin to twine's power and flexbility on an android device (I know you can just open up a browser and use the twine website but i'd like an OFFLINE version). Until someone creates something like that, Interactive Story is the only choice out there. Make the interface less confusing and I'll give it 4 stars.
I was very careful to save my entire night's worth if progress, and after rebooting my phone, i tried to continue writing. The title was there, but everything past that wad completely empty. You guys should REALLY fix that, as this is the ONLY app of this kind that I could find.
I love making text adventure games but when the program randomly gos to the menu without saving my work or requires wifi to use it makes it impossible to use. Please fix the menu problem (and hopefully add offline)
Great app and all, but it freezes when i try to edit my story :/
But there arent enough stories. Maybe to get more people aboard you should release tons of stories so people dont delete it for lack of content

Makes great stories easily! But I'd have to agree with others. It's difficult to navigate the menus. Maybe make a menu bar that allows you to access things like "Chapters" and "Actions". Otherwise, great!
I find it hard to navigate when creating a story. Otherwise this is a great app for writing and reading interactive stories.
I love the app, but after the fourth day of using it I saved my story and it disappeared when I went back on. It still had the title, but it started from the beginning. Where did my story go?

The UI could use some improvement since it looks like a version of the internet from years before. Or maybe that's what they are after. The story selections are quite few and the one I'm intrigued in reading about is in another language. Hope this will improve soon
