A listener-supported broadcast service of Interlochen Center for the Arts, Interlochen Public Radio is home to two distinct radio stations serving northwest lower Michigan with music, news, and culture from the region and the world, every day, 24 hours a day.
Classical IPR presents quality classical music with both local news updates and global news from National Public Radio. Classical IPR broadcasts outstanding musical performances from Interlochen and around the world.
IPR News Radio offers continuous local, national, and world news and information. In addition, the station’s staff of four reporters highlights important issues and events from our region.
The Interlochen Public Radio App allows you to listen to Interlochen Public Radio, pause and rewind the live audio, and view the program schedule for Interlochen Public Radio all at once! Still 1 star. Love the station, people, and overall organization of IPR; this app? Frustrating.
Periodically stops for 5-10 sec., then resumes. Irritating! Otherwise, good App. I'm grateful for all the Public Radio apps available. I live in a rural area -- wish the cell phone service providers would get it together to provide good service to those of us out in the "boonies".
excellent selection of music
Don't like the new blue color! It is lost in the sea of apps. The red stood out better. If you think you need to be blue, there are better shades of blue to use or go back to red!
Works fine but for some reason it won't completely close no matter how manytimesIclose & exit. I reinstalled it but that didn't work. Frustrating!
Have just now uninstalled the app. It keeps stalling or pausing every 5 or 6 min. Makes it EXTREMELY difficult to follow a story line.
It keeps shutting down. I'm not sure why Interlochen Piblic Radio had to switch to this, but their old way was better.
As good as any Public Radio app, which in general are less than optimal
I just love that this app enables me to have 'my' music with me all the time.

Wish my favorite program "Repose" was included in the on demand lineup. Love that program! I have been a loyal listener for over 30 years and hope it remains on the air at least another 30. This is a very unique program unlike anything else being broadcast on any other stations around this area. Please keep it on the air. As for the app, it seems to work fine for me most of the time.
