One of the best apps out there for not just language exchange, but for making friends and experiences also. However, there are minor functionalilty problems with this app. Sometimes messages do not refresh, and there are information differences made on profiles between changes made on the PC version and mobile. Also sometimes people lie about their ages on this app, which I know is not Interpals fault but it is annoying. All around a great app that just needs a touch up
This app has a lot of UX/UI bugs like how it's almost impossible to correct someone becoming I can't scroll. It won't let me add interests because it says it's invalid. I cannot modify "I want to meet" section because it won't save my changes. I can't disable the notifications for who views my profile too. The tab that says I can submit issues and bugs tells me it's "invalid" after clicking sent. I want to keep using this app but these basic issues need to be fixed.
Messages doesn't refresh, used to work properly but now it's getting way too glitchy. I got notifications via email (that I have messages/views), but when I open the app--nothing--no messages/views. I've already made friends and I know they already responded to me, messages just doesn't refresh (it's annoying). So I'll give it a week, if it's still the same, I'mma have to delete it.
the most recent update (sometime in october from what i can tell) changed the layout and now not only does it look horrible, but it has less features than before. half the search filters are missing, it uses the wrong app to choose images to upload, comments are displayed even more publicly than before, theres some weird timeline thing i dont know where the content for that comes from. i am uninstalling this and going to look for an older version of the app archived online somewhere
Was having an OK experience but after 2-3 days its stopped Opening whenever i try to open the app it just get close on its own and yet after trying so many times im unable to open it anyway ... disgusting
The app is really good, I've made so many friends there, but the notifications pop up late, and sometimes don't at all. Also the messages don't refresh, hopefully you fix this as soon as possible.
Really like the app. Recent update shows a different look. I don't like the white color interface, it's too bright. Why you can't give us a choice to use a dark mode??? Please give us dark mode!!!!
The app needs alot of features to be added, ranging from adding groups to allowing replies on posts and dark mode feature too, adding of chat transcript too incase you mistakenly deleted your chats with someone, starring and pinning chats, files other than images needs to be shared which will in turn enhance chats, time needs to also be added so one can know what time it is in his or her pals country... Will add to the list when I find more, but for now let's manage interpals the way we see it.
The concept of this app is wonderful, however the app has a lot of bugs. Failed to send messages, pictures, errors on in-app notifications and so on. If these issues will be fixed, the app is super cool 👌
I enjoy using this app; most nights I spend talking to people around the world... it's much better than television. It is a bit slow and glitchy at times, however, closing and reopening the app seems to sort it. You will find scammers here, you'll learn to identify them. Have fun, enjoy the conversations.
The app is good and it works well. Not the snappiest and sending media via chat is very slow for me, especially sending more than one picture at a time. Still good overall.
It's a good place to talk if you find the right people the app does need work the notification bar doesn't show well had liked or commented on your stuff it's always blank except for the who viewed your profile portion. Overall i give it four stars cause it's good but needs work
I have gotten used to the new layout and the new features are helpful for assisting friends learn language issues. There is still a problem with messages not showing up sometimes. This needs attention, because this is the basic function.
Full of bugs, my profile picture gets deleted all the time. When I close and open the app anew, I'm thrown back to "step 3 of 3" of registration. I also can't like any posts, because some error appesrs as well... Please fix this....
It's good for the most part, but a lot of delay in messages being received and sent. At times it makes me have to reopen the app just to view new messages. Accounts tend to get suspended for no reason or warning. Not the most user friendly site, but there are a lot of nice people on it.
Great app. The new update was definitely better but I think there are things that still need to be worked on. What I love about this app is that you choose what kind of friends you want to meet. Sadly enough, not many people are interested in language learning anymore but it doesn't stop me from giving interpals 5 stars
This app is really something, difficult to use, it's super slow and what's worst You block friend A and friend b Is blocked instead,you send something to friend A and Friend B gets it instead so don't use this app and another thing you send photos to someone and you delete it ,it will be shown to you as deleted but the person still gets it even when they are offline,so this app doesn't even deserve a star ðŸ˜
This is app is really interesting and a big thank to the team for making it. But there are some things like stability, smoothness and convenience, where the developers should work to improve them.
This app is really great and completely free. I've met many wonderful people here. The only con is there is no way to sort the inbox so you can keep the chats with people you want to talk to at the top.
Great app, have met so many people in just the span of 2 weeks! No issues with the app apart from it being slow to load at times but apart from that well done team!
This is a free, fun app for meeting people from all over the world! I like that you can set very specific filters for your searches as well as put some limits on who can contact you. It's also really easy to customize what notifications you get from the app. I like using it to find language exchange partners. There is also plenty of space allowed on your profile to share photos and write about yourself and what you're looking for. However the messaging section has bugs that make it hard to use.
