Pointless. I actually get an allowance to have work emails on my phone. I have no issue with that, and it could be really quite useful. Sadly, you have to use this app to do so...and you can't. It simply doesn't work...unless you consider being sent in infinite circles trying to log in. Save your blood pressure, try once, and when it doesn't work (as it likely won't), don't bother trying again.
First thing is that you never know which device will be successfully registered, which will not. Second, after successful setup and registration, mails are taking time to load. Sometimes a few seconds, even when I'm using a high end phone. The speed needs to be improved.
Extremely buggy. Phone has been acting up since. Kills the battery by 25% - 30% faster. Lost all my widgets that I used for work since you have to dl through a locked version of App store. Outlook started downloading a file without permission or even opening the email which I had restart phone to stop. Freezes other regular personal apps since installing. Phone was working great for work before installing this app and now have to go through loops and problems since installing.
Ever since I was forced to download this app, I am not able to access my email on Outlook app. It will open and then crashes and kicks me out. This is very frustrating because I need a reliable email app as I am out of the office a lot and rely on my phone a great deal of the time. I have a Samsung S20 FE 5g.
Get a pop-up that flashes for a second and goes away almost every time I go to my phone's home screen. Started after the One UI update. Thought it would eventually get fixed in an update. Still getting it and it's getting very annoying.
Slows down the phone like anything. Once uninstall the app. Then phone is back to normal. Insaltalling the app is killing the phone. Doesn't matter it's a flagship or with 12GB ram. This app fails big time. Please improve the app... company gives intune as the only choice... we don't have any other means to SYNC the phone with Outlook.
Sadly this app, is just like the rest of Microsoft junk it makes these days .. Backward and buggy, makes the phone super slow .. Even the installation and the on boarding process is buggy and is freezing up almost all the time .. And they still call it security?!! Hmmmmm.. This app is the bane of my professional existence. It works with ONE app (Outlook), and locks me out of every single other app tied to office 365. I can't use Teams or OneDrive or any other Microsoft app unless I use the browser and desktop site. I can't open PDF files in any program other than the janky "Office" app and I can't open zoom, teams, or WebEx links from email - or any other links. Can't join any meetings from my calendar. This app is junk. This app also restricts you from using apps
Several times per day every single day the app displays a window and a "working" animation that overlays the entire screen for a few seconds rendering the device unusable until it is finished doing whatever it is doing. If I didn't have to have this per my job I would launch it into the digital sun
I was forced to download this app onto my personal phone just so I can maybe have a back up way to email my company if I can't do it on my work PC. My email worked previously until it didn't. Got prompted from Outlook to download this to be able to access email. Went through a super invasive setup only to STILL be denied access to my work email. Worthless and invasive! FIX YOUR APPS MICROSOFT!!!
A pop up right in the middle of my screen with the words 'company portal' and a loading icon keeps coming on screen every few minutes. It's annoying and wish it would stop. Please fix this bug as I have no other choice but to use this service for work.
The absolute worst app I've ever used. I must use this for work and I have school accounts that I would love to use Microsoft applications on my phone for and this program cannot keep the two separate. Gives me an error that I have to deactivate to uninstall the program but I can't even get logged in to do so.
This app is necessary to run Teams, but crashes my phone multiple times per day. Microsoft can build a stable app, but failed miserably here. Note to everyone else: emails to the developer will bounce, so you can't contact them.
I have an older pixel 3 phone, and installing this app has destroyed the performance. Even with work apps paused, I have applications closing, crashing, and locking up. My phone is basically non-functional, with work apps unpaused I can get notifications, but if I want to do anything quickly I have to use my computer.
Previously worked for a vendor for MS and was recently rehired. No matter what I have done, I CANNOT remove the app in the Work profile section on my phone (Samsung). Because of this, it still thinks I am logged into my old work emali/requires me to log into my old work email from TWO years ago that is completely deactivated. Which completely prevents me from being able to use my new work email. I don't have access to my old email to be able to remove the data & none of the help steps work
I was having the same issue has everyone else with the Samsung phones. My employer finally figure it out. It isn't a problem with Microsoft, it is Samsung issue. Samsung requires the password to be 6 characters long. You will need to reset your password before installing Company portal. Hope this helps and works for everyone else.
After difficult install Crome and camera apps were gone from my home screen. They are no longer in my app list and can't be found when searching. Only way to find crome and all my open tabs was via playstore --> open as the app is still somehow on the phone. No real solution for my camera that I use every day... can't believe my workplace forced me to install this....
It appears with latest version update I'm constantly getting a company portal popup. It happens at randoms of times. Like web browsing, YouTube etc not just specific to company related apps like teams, office etc. It's as though company portal is trying to stay awake via the form of popups very annoying.
Since my company forced the install of this, it sure would be nice if it worked, but it appears to be completely incompatible with android 12 and my pixel 6 XL, so I am cut off from work on my phone. Thanks Microsoft... You can't do better than this?
After setup this portal for company email, it completely took over my phone as portal control. It only allowed to log in phone by entering 4 char password. The stupid thing is I am not allowed to change it back my own way !!! What permission and who should i ask ?? Really stupid...... uninstall immediately. Some more, my phone setting, background, function all changed and locked !
Interrupts ALL apps randomly. This app pops up an irritating popup randomly throughout my experience on my personal phone. It's frustrating. Update: Still terrible and disruptive on my personal phone even when not working. Terrible product failure.
Downloaded the app, logged in with company provided credentials, successfully got through "Created Work Profile" section. I tap "Continue" to go to "Activate Work Profile Section" and I am sent to a screen stating 'More Information is needed to secure my device', I then tap 'Next', it tells me to 'Set up my device to get access'. I tap 'Continue' and it shows me the same Google Play link to install the app I'm already using. I click link, and it hangs on 'Registering Device'. Going in circles.
Worst app ever. I tried to log in and the only available keyboard is the Google voice typing. There is no way to select another keyboard in the settings. Useless app.
Hands down the worst app I have ever used. When it's not kicking me off my work apps because my phone isn't "compliant" it's telling me my device password is too short, which it's not. Sometimes I can get it to work by switching to the beta but this time both versions have uniquely breaking issues so I guess I'm just not able to use my phone for work at the moment. You'd think Microsoft would make sure the hinge pin in their entire enterprise app ecosystem was remotely reliable, guess not.
This app is DRIVING ME CRAZY!!! The "Company Portal" message at the middle of the screen every minute stopping whatever I'm doing on my phone is just EXTREMELY ANNOYING!!!! Didn't ask to have this, since it's stupidly obligatory make sure this app is not bothering every time we use our phones!!
Phone security updated to 2022, says I'm on an older patch. Lost access to work on mobile. Perhaps that's a good thing, but am getting annoyed by not being able to use the work apps.

Click through to the play store only to get a message that this app is no longer compatible with my device. Found an older version of this app on a website.
