Seems to not be able to switch business to the personal version. The web site tries to offer support for personal finances, but nothing available in the mobile version. Also questions about which mobile app to use, as there are different ones and some apps are no longer available such as receipt scanning. Hoping for more improvements in these areas.
I've had no problems with Wave so far. I mainly use it on mobile and the mobile invoicing is so easy to use compared to Stripe, Square, or PayPal. For a sole proprietor the accounting side has everything I need in the free version. As long as Wave keeps doing what they are doing there is no reason to pay for QuickBooks IMO.
The service and website are good. I use it daily. Fees for payments low & I like that they do deposits daily rather. The app needs work tho. When I try to edit an invoice, all that comes up is a blank screen, then the only way to get out of it is to close and restart the app. Not being able to edit existing invoices in the app makes it almost useless to me.
The app is ridiculously slow and does not respond well, which is a pain when dealing with clients... Wave worries fine on my computer, though! The app definitely needs a lot of work, as a lot of features are slow responding and/or non existent. I try to stay away from the phone app and use my computer as much as possible. One of the things I do like, however, is the lie cost of transactions and fees.
Nice one. Really enjoying it. Simple to use. Serving the expected purpose. Still loving this app, save that I am having difficulty doing discounts for my clients since I started using it on a new android phone; it couldn't do a minus to effect discounts on the client's bill. Don't know if the problem is from the phone or that there was another way to input the discount figures. Still enjoying this app.
I mean well and hope to see the app improve. It's slow and often doesn't register touch responses. Some features and abilities are also missing from the web version, which I much prefer over using the app. The app is too frustrating to use in it's current state and has been since I've been a customer for years now. There needs to be serious optimization done. Please make it a priority to improve the user experience with the app.
New to Wave, like the simplicity and it's free. Like that my only expense through the app thus far are the merchant fees. other invoicing apps charge monthly for what I get here free. What I don't like is the lack of resources and services available through the app specifically the ability to create and send an estimate. Estimates are equally as important as an invoice. The only service supported by the app is the invoice portion which is confusing. Incorporate estimates into the app
Ok so I've been using wave since the early release, before H&R Block bought them, and to this day it boggles my mind how difficult and get behind this app truly is. 1. Still can't take pictures of receipts (not on a web browser ppl). 2. Sync issues STILL 3. Taking a credit card through the app is still very clunky. 4. If I have quotes done in the app and complete the project, it won't pull that information on the app to convert to invoice so if you have multiples with various prices, well too bad you can't recall those quotes...why?? I use the pc version all the time and endorse THAT but this app is still sitting in the year 2011, c'mon devs time to dust off yer tablets.
I can't say enough about how much I love this app! I've used QuickBooks and paid a lot of money for a lot of s*** I don't need. This is free and basically they make their profit through credit card payment fees. There's an option where you can opt out of credit cards if you would like to. However the fee and the wait time is so minuscule it's hard to find a better deal anywhere else. Plus you can pay a little bit extra and get immediate funding on the spot rather than wait for it to arrive
I honestly love the wave invoicing but the mobile app is hot trash. I have to launch it from the app store because it installs somewhere in the background and I can't find it anywhere on my phone. When I attempt to launch it I always get a connection error and then just get stuck at a loading screen. It works fine on a pc
UPDATE - THEY TOOK AWAY AUTOMATIC BANK FEEDS. I HAVE TO IMPORT A CSV. MAJOR BUMMER. Seriously freaking good considering its free. I use the invoicing app when out of the office. I get a notification when my client views the invoice. You can get paid by credit card for a small fee but I request direct bank deposit for no fee. You can access the full accounting system via web browser. YOU NEED A SEPARATE APP FOR RECEIPTS BUT IT UPLOADS TO YOUR ACCOUNT. I wish i could get the full suite in one app
I really want to give this app 5 stars. It's almost exactly what I need, but lacking a major component that renders it unusable for me. There is no way to print invoices from the app. I operate a towing business and need to be able to create and print invoices for customers on the go, roadside, who do not have/want email receipts. Others have asked the same on the waveapp community forum, and it appears you guys aren't too concerned about it. It is 2022, but not all customers are tech savvy...
The app was working perfectly fine until the update! Everything you record a payment it crashes before you can send a receipt. You have to reopen the app in order to do so! Very disappointing. Especially when there was nothing wrong with the app before the update. Ugggh
I have been using this app for almost a year on my Android phone and Android tablet. However about a month ago my tablet was no longer compatible. I have a Samsung Tab S7 that is less than 2 yra old. I will be switch services because I can no longer use the app on my work tablet. Other than that my only other issue is that I cant create estimates through the app only the webpage and even after I create on the site I still cant see it on the app. Very disappointed with that issue.
PLEASE add a way to easily print invoices, both on the app and when using a browser on a PC. It's so annoying to have to email yourself and open the invoice before printing. If there is a way to print invoices directly make it more obvious.
Simply the best invoice app.. But this days its hard to find it on Google play and Applestore was referring it to a friend, as one of the best invoice app he can find, very user-friendly..but when searched the whole store he couldn't find it to download..please inwpuod like this to be worked on .so it could be visible for people to download
We've been using the service for a while now. It's a great tool for small businesses. The only downside that I would point here is the lacking of options to create estimates through the mobile app which in my case happens all the time. So in that case I have to go the web version of it to create my estimates. So this is more of a suggestion than a complaint to the Wave apps team.
Invoicing went pretty well. Customer Support is terrible. Would like to bypass the annoying bot. Need a live chat and it seems impossible to get through. Awful experience when needing to get a response that isn't one of the frequently asked questions. Please, will someone contact me asap.
As others have mentioned, this does not install correctly and has to be launched from within the Google Play store. How that passed Google's verification process is beyond me. I use it primarily on the desktop in the browser. Works great there.... Lots of room for simple improvements
Very intuitive and well put together. I must say there are some limiting features such as the inability to print invoices via cell phone, but as a whole great application!
Love the fact that i dont need to note down my time for the work,i can simply just create a DRAFT invoice and finish/send it to my client when i m done with that job/project. Having this system on cloud/Online and through App ,it makes so much easier to create an invoice and send it to client.
It took a short while to accept that the app has limited functions compared to being on desktop, but ultimately it's great at what it does and has made invoicing while on the go simple and straightforward.
So far my experience has been great. It was easy to link to my business account, and being able to give my customers more options to pay me has really helped my small business great. Very easy to use and navigate! Thank you for making this app and making it free!
It's great for generating and sending invoices, but needs an easier way to close them out. I sometimes accept goods or services as payment, and I don't need record of it, nor is it anybody's business
The desktop version was very user friendly and I liked how easy it was to create invoices. Unfortunately, I tried to use the payments option and Wave sent an email saying I was all set to receive payments so I sent out two invoices to customers. They both paid and they were processing and then I received an email that my payments account status changed and everything was refunded. Now I look very unprofessional because I have to ask them to pay again. I wish I never tried Wave.
