Inzamba

Inzamba Agateka Kawe Radio was born on July 10, 2015, at the initiative of independent media journalists destroyed exiled in Rwanda. Radio broadcasts on the web and newspapers produced in French and in French are also shared on social networks to reach the maximum possible population that do not have easy access to the internet. The name of Izamba given to this web radio reveals at the same time its purpose and describes the context in which the Radio was born. Inzamba is a musical instrument called trumpet or bugle, which was used for group celebrations or during hunting as a means of communication at a distance to give morale to the troops. This last meaning is to be remembered in the case of the name of the Radio Inzamba Agateka kawe.

If the Radio chose this name, it is because its mission is to continue to inform the Burundian population and the international community, while denouncing the abuses of power. It is sort of a way of saying "Let's stand up, do not accept that the government denies us the freedom to practice our profession and Burundians refuse to deny them the right to information."
