Utterly disappointed. Will not open. If you get it to play for 5 seconds or more, you are lucky. ION, please fix this. Your loyal viewers deserve better.
iON App Fail Has Never Worked had a year finally uninstalled on 6/25/2020 Love iON Television it's always on my TV.

This app isn't for watching shows, it's nothing more than a TV guide for ION. I really wanted to be able to cast to my TV. Waste of time, I plan to uninstall after leaving this review.
Down loaded the app to watch CSI shows. When I tried to watch, I got nothing!

ION your network is great, so why put it to shame with an app like this?

Once again, another app that is a damn TV guide. An app where you can not watch full shows. Ppl in areas that can't afford cable, dish and need to rely on internet, WiFi's or mobile devices to be able to enjoy television shows. Make a app for free because it's broadcasted over the air. Not fare for many people. Advertising pays for the shows.
The app is terrible. You can't watch shows. The schedule never works always gives an error message. They should be able to fix this and if your current people can't hire someone who can. In general I am done with ION altogether. Update 6/12/17 ion still having major issues with this app. Still, keeps saying error with network, I don't think so. All other apps work fine and as you can see ion does not correct this issue. Uninstalled and will not watch ion anymore, same repeats week after week.
What is the point of this app? You can't watch shows. It's just a damned guide to the channel. Okay, I know you can't give away your programming, but most of the apps for other channels ask if you have a subscription and if you do, you get full access. I have Dish Network and pay for your channel. What a piece of junk app, but don't hold your beath, people. Look at the reviews. They all say the same. ION isn't reading them and doesn't give a ****
I have never been able to open the app. Every time I try I get a black screen with the same error message box "ERROR - Something went wrong with the server". EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. My server is fine, the app just doesn't work - on several of our devices. I only downloaded it hoping that's where our points/profile from ion tv had moved to since that's not part of their website any more either (SUPER bummed about that). Unless they get Garcia on this I'll never know. Pretty lame guys...
I installed this app on both my Galaxy S6 and my new Google Pixel phone. On both, I get errors when you select "Shows" or "Schedule." And other than being an ad for the network, this app seems to have little purpose. Disappointed. Ion - You need an app like other networks that allow a viewer to catch up on episodes of shows they missed so they can start watching them on your network directly.
"something went wrong with the server" -- error msg and then black screen for multiple install attempts on two different devices. nonfunctional at present
Have uninstalled/installed several times and still can't get anything but a server error. You'd think with all the negative comments ION would did something to correct this. Plus, it would be great to view their content, like Saving Hope.
I installed this app twice and ever time I tried to open it, it gave an error message about there being a network problem. I'm very disappointed because this is my favorite channel.
not what i thought or wanted. my fault for not reading more reviews; as a dtv subscriber i thought this, like other apps, allowed you to watch the shows (if not in real time, then from a library)--it does not. it really is just a channel guide. you can set an alert for reminders, if that interests you; i was looking for more.
The app has become completely useless. When I open it all I get is an error message. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but that did nothing.
The mobile app hasn't worked in months . Everytime I try to open on phone or fire stick I get something went wrong ( long island NY )
Even with all of the bad reviews, this is the second time in as many years that I have tried to download this app. I'm having the same problem, where when you open the app, you get a black screen and after several seconds a bar comes up saying error, problem with server. This app is a big fail!
