Q: How do I use IoPT?
The process of scan consists for 3 steps:
- 1st step: scan a network(or a node) for “fingerprints”, the “fingerprints” scan collect information about open ports, running services and etc.
- 2nd step: provide an additional information requested for an “issues” scan, only the “Terms and Conditions” input is mandatory, all the others are optional.
- 3rd step: run an “issue” scan, to see if you have some security issue(s) in your network.
Q: What should I do, if IoPT did find an issue(s) in my network?
For each issue, which is getting tested by IoPT, there an additional information at http://dnovikov.pro. It includes technical details, recommendations, additional references and etc. You may also tap "MORE INFO" link in IoPT to get to the issue related post.
Q: How can I enable/disable certain plugin?
Please go to the "Settings->Plugins", you will see the plugin list with a checkbox for an each item, please check/uncheck the required plugin(s) and tap the check mark in the action bar.

Compared to the alternatives on this platform, this is the only worth-while app that does non-web-focused vulnerability scans. Although it should be said beforehand that you can't see the vulnerability results without paying. (subscription based). Overall, It's really easy to use, and quite convenient for a quick-and-noisy security scan.
I have to admit that I don't usually give out five stars. You all came really close. This program does exactly what it says it will do and it doesn't do a lot of extra in the background. Some things could be preceded with some cautionary note. But all things considered this is an awesome application for a new enthusiast or professional. Revamping the user interface though a little would be nice.
Great app, with a lot of details. For cameras should include a default still image url scanner too (eg /tmpfs/image.jpg, ...).
Cool toolset, not like anything else Im aware of. But the app consistently crashed when I attempted to view my scan log.
Seems like it would work, but I wouldn't know. Doesn't support Ethernet adapters, only WiFi connections.
This is the first app that I found that quickly and simply gives you the info you need to see what is happening. Great tool!
Nifty little tool. Needs the ability to scan external IPs.
This program is a joke. It identified only direct TV as vulnerable and wanted me to buy pro version to be told why.

It managed too see the 'phone that the app's running on, but nothing else on the network (yes, I'm connected to my network via WiFi). Tools are cute. Overall something possibly interesting for non-IT people to reassure themselves with, but nothing of value for someone serious about probing their network for vulnerabilities.
