I can scan 1 ticket and it's done. It great until sometime in January. Still works on my old S10 Note. I don't know what you did, but you need fix it!! Almost makes the App worthless on new phones!! Update, this App has gotten to where you can scan in VIP, but it won't scan in the check tickets sections. I think you might need to find a different developer that actually knows what they are doing!!!

This is starting to freeze up a lot when it didn't use to about 3 to 4 months ago. If it wasn't broken then, why mess with it and break it. It might just be on the androids, when I switched from iPhone to android, android took a long time to scan one ticket where I missed the iPhone, where the iPhone always scanned immediately. And then android fixed there app and it was just as good as the iPhone when it came to scanning lottery tickets. Now the android is back in the crummy spot.

Overall the app serves its purpose. At least up until recently, scanning tickets is a huge pain. It freezes after scanning and if you're lucky it will load but usually crashes.

The ticket scanner is a JOKE! Does not work, even though they claim it was fixed!! Whoever is in charge of this for the IA lottery needs to make the decision to scrap it and start from scratch. It needs a TOTALLY REVAMP!! You have to keep clearing the cache, it works once then freezes, then you have to uninstall it, shut your phone off for a few minutes, then reinstall it, then the process starts all over! A totally screwed up app! IA lottery, DO SOMETHING TO FIX IT!!

For some reason I have to scan my tickets twice before it tells me if it is a winner or not (doesn't matter if I'm on WiFi or cellular data). I think it would be a nice feature for the app to say how much I won on a ticket through the app instead of at a lottery retailer. Also, please add the ability to view remaining prizes for scratch tickets. Overall though, this is a great app if you play the Iowa Lottery.

It wasn't working on my Samsung S10 at first but it started working now....I just have to hold it on the barcode for a few more seconds than I thought it would take. I also have to move my phone up and down sometimes until it focuses and scans it. So far, so good. It found a couple winners I didn't see already.

Will not scan my tickets, but will enter promotions....sure would be nice if I could update, so it would actually work!!! STILL NOT WORKING!!! And....2 months later, still not working....totally pointless to have the app.

** UPDATE ** Thank you for FINALLY fixing the issue with the check ticket scan function. Working good now! ************************************** CHECK TICKETS function is mucked up. 90% of the time I don't get a result... after the barcode is successfully read there are 3 dots that animate but never get any result. Sometimes if I repeatedly abort and attempt the scan over and over eventually I get a result but my confidence of the accuracy of that result if very very low! PLEASE FIX ASAP!!!

The ticket scanner really went down hill. Worked on my note9 until last update. Got a new s22 Ultra & trying to check tickets is maddening. Scan 1 ticket then it won't work for several hours. FiX IT

It was great when it was working. After an update it is a nightmare now. Like others have said it will scan once.

The app is awesome. I save my play slips for retailers to scan. Very convenient. Checking lotto tickets is super easy however it typically takes an hour or more after the drawing to be able to scan your lottery ticket to see what you have won! :) A++. I use this app daily. Easy to use and user friendly. Well done!

I can't believe this app doesn't work to scan tickets anymore and all the reviews have been telling them for months and still they have not fixed the problem nor done any updates. It really needs to get fixed or they should just delete it all together. They care about getting our money but don't care if we can find out if we won anything. I'd give zero stars if it was an option.

I downloaded this too check scratch off tickets and it works till you go to scan a 3rd one then it always just spins and never says if it's a winner or not. You have to completely close out of the app and try it again. Also there is no where on this app for you to enter your holiday scratch offs that were losers for the promotion.

Sucks ever since they updated and put the clear button on there after checking tickets! Now u can only check one ticket and then have tk close the app a bunch of times and even then it still won't scan another one. Just had dots spinning in a circle. Very very annoying. App used to be 5 stars. Now it just annoys me

App is junk ! Scanner doesn't work!!!! The numbers for the draw games are hard to read. I have Uninstaller and reinstalled it several times...no help. I wouldn't recommend it.

This app at one point was AWESOME , now it is pretty much worthless. And u can't even get one card scanned b4 it freezes. I've complained to the iowa lotto as well. They pretty much told me we can't make the app work on everyone's phone. Even though I have an S10.

Whenever numbers are posted the app has the same drawing date for two different sets of numbers. I reported to the webmaster and he claims that IT says it is working correctly. This has been happening for many drawings and IT cannot correct the problem. If they dont care I assure you I DONT CARE EITHER!

With the recent update in December 2020, it's much better. Don't have any problem scanning my tickets to see if I won or not. Occasionally have a slight problem scanning and submitting for second chance drawings, but I can live with that.

Scanner stopped working recently. Used to be slick but no more. Please fix it!!

Feels like i logged back into windows xp, maybe even 98.... Very dated looking, and feeling, is what im getting at. Easier to just use the website for drawings and the kiosks around town or the little scanner at gas stations to check your tickets. I dont suggest this app personally, but i also dont do scratch tickets and i understand there's more to do on the app if thats your cup of tea so maybe my bad review is your future good review? Idk if scratchies will be enough to interest anyone.

This app hardly ever works. I scan ticket and most of the time it just sits there thinking never to show results. Probably scans one out of ten times. Whoever made this app obviously has no clue what they are doing.

Compare this to any other states lottery and you'll just think it's a weird joke. This thing is straight up stuck in 1999 and not getting any better. Shame for home much money they pull in because of it. Invest some inaking the people who shove their money at you slightly happy maybe?

Worked good for awhile and now I scan one and it stops working

This app needs to be fixed! It's broken and often freezes and doesn't scan the tickets. I shouldn't have to close out of the app several times to hopefully scan a couple tickets.

Scan Tickets Subpar. This app used to work flawlessly but now the last few months tickets cannot be scanned for results. On few occasions it will work but not regularly and the subpar performance causes more frustrations than not.

The app crashes after i scan just one ticket. In order to scan another i need to totally close and reboot the app, then it will only scan one time before overloading. It's super annoying.

Scanning is only successful SOMETIMES at best. This app has the functionality, but it severely neglected - at the time of this review the app has not been updated in 17 months! Surely Google has polices against this - there's been two versions of Android, with a third on the way, since the last time this multi-billion dollar company has invested in routine maintenance for a convenience app for their cash cows (us).

Useless! The only reason I downloaded the app was to check tickets and the only thing that doesn't work on the app now is getting scanned results. Unreliable and definitely not trustworthy.

This app no longer properly scans scratch tickets. It doesnt tell you if the scanned ticket is a winner (good when you get crossword tickets... Which suck). App is going on 20 months since last update. It should be taken off the app store.

When trying to scan instaplay tickets I get the message "we encountered an error while processing your request please try again later" every time. I've tried 10 + tickets and get the error every time.
