5 stars to IPR itself. App could be improved, but for the most part satisfied.
It's quick and easy to access. Clear reception. Convenient.
Easy to use and functions well. Love IPR!
Most of the time, the app works without fail. There are times, however, when it quits and is difficult to start again. Lately, the app won't shut down. I stop it only to see that it has popped back up. The only way I can end it, then, is to force it to stop in my application menu, which takes unnecessary time and steps.
Well-organized and clear about archived format available. (Audio or print) Pauses sometimes if I've been playing it for long times, skipping full sentences of the news stories, but good for a few news pieces at a time. I use it mornings before work.
Doesn't use normal audio controls so it doesn't behave as you would expect all the time. You can use the google voice recognition and it wont pause which can be problematic.
Great app for all Iowa news! Maybe in a future update, include an option to sort the articles and stories by type, or content, instead of having a set number of trending categories.
Iowa public radio News is better than normal
Interface needs reworked, stream drops out frequently, and casting over Chromecast is inconsistent. Doesn't work with Google Assistant.
Excellent news coverage, stories updated frequently, all the Iowa news I am looking for, app is easy to navigate and works well.
Loved it I can't get enough of it, helps keep my mind up , relax. I really can't describe how the classical music allows me to organize my thoughts.
Live stream stops midsentence routinely. Sometimes it resumes where it left off and sometimes stops working completely.
Dependable. Straight forward app. Great for streaming the broadcast. Plays audio when phone screen is closed.
Love listening but the app pauses frequently during play. I have tried clearing cache/data but nothing seems to improve it.
I love listening to IPR on my phone. I don't own a radio in the house so it's the only way I can get IPR when I'm inside. However I find that the app quits working on a fairly regular basis
No way to disable notifications. Great music and programs, but has randomly dinged me awake.
I have found it reliable, but it does drop occassionaly. might be issue with my wifi.
When the HD radio goes off and quits working I use the app., for my classical music.
I love Iowa Public Radio, and the app allows me to get their programming no matter where I am. It works well.
I migrated to Costa Rica from Iowa in 2017... The IPR/NPR App is my vital link in following US happenings... What the hell did you people do since I've been gone?!? Pura Vida!!!
I'm still learning how to use the app so I'll withhold my opinion until I get more experience. However I use Iowa public radio a lot to keep informed and hopefully the app will allow my tablet battery to last longer.
