I got these ear buds to use for improved hearing. They are fantastic for that and the app works very well. There are two app enhancements I would like to see: First, a more detailed equalizer that would allow me to fine tune settings more, such as adding additional base and treble and not a trade off. The other would be a way to disable 'World off' when using outdoors so a breeze doesn't activate it during a conversation. Thanks for the great product!
Good. But sometimes has connection issues. Sometimes doesn't connect to the buds when the app is minimised and reopened. Needs to be closed and reopened. Also, app doesn't connect to the earbuds when the buds are connected to another device. Cannot alter settings when connected to my PC. Note: Bragi The Dash Pro earbuds can do this. Possible to update firmware/app to include something similar? If not, maybe create a Windows and Mac app that can alter the settings when connected to PC or Mac. ?
The feature intended to focus sound on the spreaker and reduce background noise makes no difference at all for me. It was the main reason i purchased these and it was a waste of money. Amplifying search is only mildly successful. They only work as Bluetooth ear buds for me and they aren't as good for that role as much cheaper options. Phooey.
First generation IQ buds were an incredible waste of money. Short battery life, 30 to 50cm Bluetooth range (less through clothing) and really hit and miss functionality. Mine have now been gathering dust on a shelf for over 2 years without use. All the really cool features (Focus on particular) seem to be going into the new boost model, while those of us who spent up early on are left behind.
App works exactly as advertised and expected. Easy to implement and intuitive to use. I'd suggest giving each setting a number based model so that loading on a new device would allow the set up to exactly mirror the old device settings. An example - the "World" settings have a number for setting (-1, +1, +2, etc) while Sinc and World EQ have visual sliders only with no number settings given. Having a number setting for each would allow for more accurate transfer of settings to new devices.
Ive had a few issues conecting the IQstream TV. I've contacted your support email and the bot needs pinging by email for EVERY SINGLE REMEDIATION ENQUIRY. That is, 'Do this.' New email. 'Have you got this'? New email...., this went on until I gave up 6 months ago. Thought I'd try it again. Now, the IQStream TV tab on the app, which I uninstalled and reinstalled twice, has appeared then disappeared twice. The IQbuds are great, but as they ago you are lucky to get 2 hours life from a full charge.
The product has lots of bugs sound continually dropping out. Last straw was sound no longer playing the phone audio, pretty much a useless item. In the process of trying to get a refund. Support is very slow.. (update) I got a replacement pair as they, were faulty. The Bluetooth range is so terrible, that you're basically paying for hearing aids. Good luck getting quality sound consistently from the Bluetooth connection.
The app is terrible without a doubt. The process to connect headphones is tedious and makes it worse the ear buds do not connect at all. Spent the last 2 days trying to connect them to my phone or any device and not even the name showed up on the Bluetooth menu on my phone. Whoever is reading is reading this find a better product for earbuds like bose or skullcandy. They would at least pick up the phone for customer service.
Update: I talked to customer support who tells me restarting the app is NOT A BUG! Conclusion: there is no customer support for the app. Original: The app often gets confused by the IQStream TV device. It fails to detect it, or fails to dectect the buds. I have to restart the app pretty much every time I put my buds in my ears, and then it works. There does not seem to be any support for automation or Android shortcuts. Sometimes it streams only in my left ear for some reason.
I initially had five star review. However, one update of a $400 pair of quite exceptional buds seem to be now useless. I have all three products and the Bluetooth tv transmitter. That now is a $1000 loss of at one point quality audio. I have tried several devices to pair and they are invisible to all. Going back to my Shure buds with wires that are 15 years old and never fail.
Why can't I access all world modes with a tap (ON, OFF, & ANC)? I should be able to cycle through all three options, not just two of them. I would rather not use ANC all the time because that option consumes more battery. If I want OFF, I have to open up my phone. Why can't I configure any option on any button? I want play/pause to be a single right tap and world options to be a double right tap. This app should be SMART enough to allow this. I'm just not happy with the lack of options.
Earbuds are ok, but I'm not really hearing impaired so probably wasted on me. The app doesn't remember world off setting, so you need to turn it off everytime which is a bit annoying.
Only arrived today but so far amazing. Easy to set up, no issues at all. I have tinnitus in my right ear. They don't completely get rid of the noise but it's greatly decreased and I can hear far more clearly. Awesome, loving them so far.
Chewing food by moving uper and lower jaw up-and-down it's annoying to hear ear buds reciting home , world off and again home , world off back and forth by self without finger top. The best thing is when you have to have a something to eat take them out . Also screeching high pitch sound drive me insane. I got them in first place to watch TV in quite enviroment. I wouldn't use them for hearing aid substitute. They are basically sound amplifiers.
Have only had the product for less than a month after waiting 7 months for it to arrive. Only problem so far is the double tap feature is unusable. No matter how fast or slow you double tap it only accepts it as a single tap. Wish the speed was adjustable.
At the beginning it works beautifully now the sound declined, yes i hear a bit better but now cant understand when people talks, certain words but noises are loud. I got to get me a cheap $50.00 amazon sound amplifier and sadly works better. Also no matter how i charge it takes forever to charge and when it does even when light is green, doesnt hold battery that lon..can't past 10%. Had problems in past and nuhera tried to help thru emails was long tedious and didn't resolve anything.
First few months they were great, but bluetooth connection issues are now a problem. I have to continue to reinstall the App to get a connection on my Android phone or Ipad. Getting to the point of just throwing them in the draw for good.
Hugely disappointing. Held onto them for too long believing that with some tweak or fix they could work better but to no avail. Held onto them past the warranty date wanting them to be as good as I'd hoped (and waited months for) now I have online content I can't hear because the volume has gone down overtime. They don't appear to be charging properly either and to be told to email customer service? $600 burned
When I place my buds in my ears I sometimes get left right feedback squeal also when placing them in the case I get the same feedback loop like placing a mike in front of a speaker I would also like to be able in the app to turn them up when using as a hearing aid. They are great with the TV but with talking I still miss a bit.
This app, and the product it supports are actually really great. I encourage others to remind themselves when reviewing, as I've done myself, to remember that Nuheara are relatively speaking new Australian company, so as such don't yet have the polish, or resources available as some of their massive nearest competitors. My experience summarised: ASD + ADHD + pandemic lockdowns and masks (no socialising, no lip reading) = reduced ability untangling speech from background sound, + Nuheara = :D
Good hardware with much more potential that what is offered by current software version. The app also needs an urgent upgrade as Google Playstore indicated that it is not compatible with Android 9, which got some of my cutting edge flagship phones of 2018 stuck there.
FIXED BY 20200618 UPDATE! This app has always been buggy IME, often requiring complete closure when reconnecting buds. But now it is literally unusable: it just claims (falsely) "You denied permissions with 'Never ask again' option. To use application please change accept permissions manually from app settings." The (two) permissions that are changeable are both ON, however, and the app doesn't indicate what permissions are needed and denied.
11 minutes to set up. Amazing new spectrum of sound for my 48 yo ears. For those having Bluetooth problems the blame might be with your phone aerial. Bluetooth is an industry standard, it's not a Nuheara function.
Worked for 2 months, then started disconnecting every 2 minutes, now isn't recognized by any device on bluetooth. Wish i had read these reviews before i dropped 300 bucks on a product that doesn't work, i don't have time to spend hours on the phone with customer service.
When I purchased the nuheara buds they worked wonderfully. I was amazed. Less than 6 months in they stopped pairing. The support was poor from Nuheara and they sent me a label to put on the package of buds to return. The package has gone missing. Not registered by Australia Post and I have been left $400 out of pocket. The support seems to be in India or some other country that only respond by email during the middle of the night. I am disappointed in a company that is meant to be local.
Avoid!! Good to know I'm not the only one with bluetooth connection problems. Lost connectivity to my phone December to January The buds work they are able to go into"restaurant, driving even world off" however I don't hear the narrator Unable to connect to my phone. these $400 buds became a $400 ear plugs. It's 09-21-2021 still haven't received discount. The buds are only good for catching dust at the back of drawer. Not worth another $260 just for a replacement that's no longer available.
THANK YOU ! This has been the easiest and most efficient app to allow me to seemlessly set up and use my TWS-T8 headphones ! I can now use either headphone or both without any de-sync. I can also control volume for both headphones at the same time !
so far so good. but there is always room for improvement for any tech product. 1. when paired/connected, the earbuds will receive all the noises in the surrounding before it is being tuned so it always get loud and noisy when it started. 2. unnecessary beep sound is being heard and received causing uncomfort to user's ears. this destroy the natural hearing of the earbuds.
