IR Code Finder (NEC protocol)

This is one of those apps that has a very specific use case but it is amazing at what it does. After months looking for a solution, I tried this app almost as a last resort to get my tv to work. And it did! Can not thsnk you enough! I bought ALL the in-app upgrades, and would do it twice over if it let me. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

This app is awesome. The peace that any device in the world that lost a remote can be finally operated! God bless you Some other apps can read code back from remotes. Requesting to add this to the app so that someone can reverse lookup a remote. I have an old VCR that no universal remote apps have code for. But it's remote is partially working. I wish if i could use this app to detect the device+command code sent by the partially working remote to find rest of codes easily. Awesome work mate!

Very handy app for exploring functionality of IR-controlled devices. Was able to quickly find service menu command code (and other undocumented features) for my TV, after using auto mode to discover the device code. Building a custom controller set is a little bit awkward, but the sheer power and flexibility of the app more than make up for that.

This review is specifically for the developer behind this app. I wanted to write a similar, but a very specific app for an elderly person in my family. I was new to the IR world and so had several questions for the developer. This person answered all my questions patiently and provided enough information to get me going. Thank you so much. I searched everywhere for a remote app that could turn on my ir led bulb... Conventional remotes work for it by long pressing any button, but none of the ones I downloaded worked... But this app just saved me the trouble of giving up, I simply pressed the autotest button by mistake and it worked after a few seconds... Now that's what I like

Works very well with unknown devices - using the Auto Test I was able to map the basic buttons in 10 minutes.. I even paid for it to be able to save more than 2 buttons.

Finally an app which work with every device unlike mi remote or android remote. I love that app. But I am not able to export actual IR data it only export device + command. Coz i want to create a physical Remote with the data.

Pretty decent at what it does. I'm only giving 3 stars because I'm missing the option to add however many remotes and codes I want without paying. You could add an ad banner and just have an option to pay to disable/hide it. I'm also only reviewing the code find feature because the remote feature is lacking a lot ( customizable layout, custom buttons with names, icons, rgb buttons, general design is lacking ) Works as intended, can recommend.

Works great. I have an off brand device someone gave me without a remote. I couldn't find it in any premade controller setups on other apps. With this app I was literally able to find a functional button command for every single thing I could think of. So now I have a perfect remote. There are some other apps out there that let you build a remote but they are difficult to use... changing frequently and wave length and all that... I couldn't figure them out. But this app was very easy to use.

Amazing apps for automatic search of IR codes. Worth the money! I do not even need to use this app often but I would still like to thank the author with cookies. I have an amplifier which is good but the previous owner has screwed the bass level to min and lost the remote. So I had to work around with EQs to restore the bass level. With this app I restored the values back to an appropriate level. What could be improved? - the search always starts at 0. Could be nice to resume from a given point. - customized remote control buttons as in many other apps.

Siimple, fast, intelligent. Found the codes for a white-label air conditioning unit in seconds. No ads, and the app lets you try and find codes before asking for money, and the unlock is permanent and at a very affordable price. Highly recommended. Suggestion: Have "Autoscan" continue scanning from the currently selected device and command, instead of starting over.

Using this app as a LG VCR remote. Some of the tapes I had were unwatchable as i couldn't adjust the tracking. But with this app, it's possible.

Good app, but the interface could be made better.

This app is amazing! I can programme, manually, any ir code and scan also. Saved me a headache on this new TV I have that doesn't really exist on the market. 1 improvement I would suggest is to have some confirmation switch instead of cycling through everything so rapidly (but I get it... Time wasting isn't a good thing) Not PERFECT but gets the job done... Only app that did what I wanted

For the last 3 years I've been looking for a Bose Solo 5 ir code and now I finally found one.

The app is not very intuitive unfortunately. For example no clue what does "Scan +10" does - sends 10 codes at a time or sends every 10th code? When the code is recognized by a device and I tap the "stop" button, I can manually click down to the code and store it, but then scanning starts from the very beginning again (not proceeding further from the already found code) - why?! What is "Ignore" function and how to use it? Apparently there is a LOT of space for improvement.

i recomended the way it find codes,but its better if subscribe for full version,u have to add more different codes data base.

when testing the Ir i can find the ir working as the device is being controlled. but the uxui of the app is bad. not idea how to save or export amending the review. the developer has as much as to insult user feedback in russian saying user is offended about money. if true it makes no sense as there's is not even a paid version of this app anyway and the developer's feedback is just uncalled for and all the more why you should not download the app

Found the right code to turn on my LED strip in just a minute (Device 0, function 64). Works better than the remote that came with it. Superb app, if other devices can be controlled this easily then I'll definitely support the developer

Less than useless. Instructions? No. Information? None. Intuitive...hahaha. trying to use this app is about as much fun as a poke in the eye. And of course the permissions are ridiculous. You can change permissions after they take all your info. Nope .

Omg this totally saved my day. Got screwed over by smart amp manufacturer which does not include remote with the amp (!) and some critical features cannot be used via buttons on the device (e.g. surround). Amp does have IR learn function so you are supposed to be able to use any remote, but of course you cannot learn these missing buttons without buying brand remote and you learn all this only after you have bought the device. So by using your IR Code Finder app I was able to brute force the codes and everything is good, so please have my regards!

Great app 5 stars! Worth the money and the coffee for dev!👍 it would be awesome to: 1- have an option to arrange the buttons and add icons to them. 2- have the autoscan by choosing to lock the device code and looping through the commands only. Other than that big thanks!

Found remote for my more than 10 years old Phillips Home Theatre 5.1... I am very happy. I have tried so hard, this app saved me. I wanted remote very badly, reasons for that 1. Home Theater is completely remote control couldn't operate it without remote. 2. the Base sound from Home theatre is superb that there is no new system matches it's performance, I missed all these years... I even started writing programs in Ardunio for remote, now need not to worry... Thanks...

Wow 😲! My car's multimedia player touch is broken and i lost the remote, i tried so many remote apps on play store but none of them worked!, Finally i found this app it works. I can create a custom remote app using these found codes. THANKS

This app is awesome.I bought a used 7 inch screen/dvd player combo for my parents van for like $5 and the sound didn't work.It needed to be reset.With only the eject and play and fwd and rwd button present on the machine, I needed the controller.It such an obscure brand that I couldn't simply purchase a controller online without buying the entire unit for over $80.My tablet has an ir blaster so I downloaded every universal remote in the playstore and nothing.I fixed it with this miracle app.

This is great most especially for those who have older units and for those who cannot find the brand from other apps. This is the only app where I got my old home theater to work.
