This most buggy app ever. Beside iridium hardware being unreliable, this app does not make using the service any better. If you leave the app open you will miss a lot of sms messages. There is also a new 'feature' when your text message will appear with some obscure date in the past. This app seems to be less buggy on iOS, but they completely dropped a ball on Android
Just updated and the issue that prevented me connecting to the device without placing my phone into aeroplane mode then enabling WiFi only is back! If I don't perform this step I get the message could not communicate with Iridium Go every time I enter a username and password. So fuatrating given this problem was fixed in the previous version I was running! I am on the latest Android Inc patch level on a Pixel 3 XL. Grrrr!!!
Since the latest version of Android, I could not login, it just just going in a loop at the login screen. Iridium support advised to put the plane in airplane mode, and then connect via wifi. It worked, but not a great solution It really needs some proper testing, and development. The Iridium Go device is a good product (and expensive) but it relies on this poor application to work. If my life depended on it, I would by a full sat phone, not the Iridium Go.
Works great. Have had pretty much no issues. Once you learn the functionality, its really easy. May take a bit of time to learn it, but its simple after that.
Was out in extreme -43 C weather and i could not connect with my Samsung S21 5G Ultra cell phone. This is a major concern for me and should be for Iridium. My Skidoo broke down and walked 30kms. What helllll Iridium. Should there be another device to buy from another supplier, Iridium Go! you are GONE! Very unreliable. Very dangerous of you not to take care of this. I have downloaded the updates and still can't connect. Used an iphone 5 for christ sakes to connect to the device. I'm ok though.
I believe that this is the first time I've ever given the 1 star for anything. It's that bad. Unfortunately after dumping $3k into the system I'm a captive audience. Or I'll send the entire system back.
App will NOT run on my Pixel 3. It wants to start but then just clicks off. This is the third time I've tried to load and run the app.
Ery glichy, doesnt want to connect to irridium go at times. Lucky we have a backup iphone. This is unacceptable as we relly on this off shore where there is not other means of communication
Terrible job. Crashes immediately with samsung S9 using Android. I would hope that this is a MAJOR concern for Iridium.
Connection between phone and Iridium is unreliable.
only calls and texts internet and email is horrible. been using for 1 year now never able to connect online.

Will not connect with Android 9 - Iridium contacted but could not provide a solution!
The app works smoothly and as it should. Using Android 9.1.0
doesn't work with my android phone. ipad, iPhone seemless.

Keep getting this error "Could not connect to iridium GO!. Login failed" when I open the app. This used to work on my phone. It works on my wife's phone. I recently installed a new Android update and it no longer works on my phone. This is buggy. It was okay when it was working.
While the app mostly works, there are features missing that are really frustrating. Features such as being able to actually exit the application. The normal exit method leaves the app on in memory and I have to Force it to stop. There is no way to delete a contact that was incorrectly entered into the GO! contacts, and editing any contact only edits the contacts on my phone. There are other frustrations through out too. It was just sloppily coded but I need it to use with the GO! Please add these features in.
This app is poorly written and does not support anything but the most common screen sizes. This has turned into an expensive exercise to resolve. I would suggest another satellite company's product.
The app is clunky, it doesn't login all the time, sometimes taking may tries hitting the login without any feedback. The messenger portion resolves names very poorly, and doesn't separate the messages by logged in user. Cool tech when it works correctly.
Tried everything. It logs on the first time. After that whatever I choose from the menu it jumps back to the logon screen and says NOT LOGGED ON.... I tried flight mode as suggested etc. No luck..... Very frustrated. This is a simple ap that should just work....
- There is no option to delete a syncronized contact from Iridium Go, except the device factory reset. - There is no shutdown option. You should Force Stop or uninstall it, when you want to close. It is good and simple anyway.
You have a problem with Android O in the wifi connection and registration
When people contacted me through the iridium go SMS website, I always got their texts twice. Some characters did not get translated, and often the texts were hard to decipher. Also, the app would tell me when I had new text messages but there was no way to sort the list of text messages to see who had actually sent it and I'd have to go through each contact to see if there were new messages at the end of the thread.
