IRIS Peridot - GSTIN Search
IRIS Peridot is more than just an app. It is a searchable data repository and available via APIs and is designed to take in plug-in additional data sets in future.
GST Identification number or GSTIN is a 15-character unique number provided by Government to every registered taxpayer. Only the holders of valid GSTIN are allowed to charge and collect GST on the supplies. It is necessary that the taxpayers need to mention their GSTIN on the invoices prepared by them. Further, the GSTIN number needs to be mentioned on the signboards in their premises.
What makes IRIS Peridot app unique is the ability to recognise GSTIN from any cluster of text. All you need to do is, scan the surface which could have the GSTIN printed. IRIS Peridot analyses the text to identify the GSTINs and once identified, the same gets checked with GST system. Additionally, you can also type a GSTIN and get the details in the app.
You can not only get the taxpayer details but also other information such as the filing status of the returns and places of businesses as registered with GST system.
A snapshot view also highlights the eligibility of tax-payer to collect taxes and an option to report any non-compliance by tax-payer to the Govt.
GSTIN also has an important role in the return filing as it identifies the registered business thus can help ensure a genuine of B2B transaction. The correctness of your counterparties GSTINs has a direct impact on your ITC claim.

After opening the app.. the app says to install the latest version.. i unistalled the app and re installed with latest version, still the same problem.. update the app... Pls rectify it or help me how to do it
After update ,,not opening the app ,and again says to update .....repeating the same ,,,but not opening app.....
Wonderful! Only once I found, a GSTIN was actually existent in GST website (tax payer search), but was declared as wrong GSTIN in this app.
Scan feature is not working after the update. 😟
Scanning feature is not working. I have also captured the image of the same and reported it several times. Kindly look into it and resolve the same. Otherwise the app really helpful in every other way possible. Thank you for providing such great facility through this app.
After update hanging issues and search limitations. No option to filter GSTN by business place. Can not check contact details. Can me more user friendly and better UI.

It's really useful and safe guard the government revenues. If phone number of the taxpayer added, it will be more successful for departmental people also to catch the taxpayer
if we have multiple gstin in one camera shot app doesnot give option to choose which one is to be searched, rather search randomly any gstin. Very nice and effective app though. Scanning single gstin(by focusing on one) is difficult if we have them in printed excel sheet. App doesnt highlight jurisdiction(dealer is with state or center)

Very good application to use and easy
It used to be a very useful app but for last few days multiple anomaly is reported and the results are not at all reliable. In multiple occasions I am witnessing complete mismatch with govt site. Even if someone has filed GSTR 3B till sep-2020 still it shows only tillay-2020 GSTR 3B filed. Disappointing.....

It can't search anything. It only gives error saying no internet connection. Who have you there idea that I'm trying to use the app without internet connection? The so itself is not connecting to the internet. I'm able to email, WhatsApp, watch videos on YouTube, what else you want me to do?
Not starting after waiting many time. Restart but only view waiting circle.
Very useful for GST
Every time it shows sign up optionand when i tried to sign up, it shows someone else gmail Id and says you are already registered with this email Id, kindly login with that. It means your system knows my email id and i don't know disgusting!
Good app but after update lagging became normal. No option to filter by city. Can not check contact details.

It is very much useful and handy app to identify basic details of taxpayers. I would like to suggest one more thing Please provide proper jurisdiction authority details like assessee fall in central or state department. You can identify it from GSTN portal, they highlight (red) jurisdiction office for respective GST number.
Very Useful App and Quite Smooth also... hats off to developers... but a small lag in scanning Gstin via camera and also there should be a feature to export the desired Gstin details to Pdf and other reco. formats and also to share the info through WhatsApp and Email...
App not opens immediately when we are on road vigilance duty goods transport vehicles are moving fast app opens immediately easy to find out nonfilers defaulters further gstr3 b & 2 a v/s 3 b to be available can able to stop the vehicle for further course of action
