Cannot go into the Info tab under the System, the app will close and open again. I am using Android phone. Maybe the developer can look into it. Other than that, all is fine.
I need to click 'more' after scrolling all the way down to search for the video I want. When it happens, page reloads and I go to the top all over again. Image the amount of times I need to click 'more' and scroll if I wanted to retrieve a video 24 hours ago. Spoils the whole user experience. Please fix this bug of having to scroll and scroll and scroll. Feels like it's never ending!
The update last week fixed the issue that made it impossible to connect without turning off phone data, but introduced a new issue where any time you try to view recorded video, the app crashes instantly. I was very happy to discover I paid 650AUD for a car ornament, especially after a ute reversed over the top of my hood and then drove off. If you're thinking about buying one of these, don't. Get something from a company that tests their updates before they push them.
Not sure if people considering buying this road cam will ever read this before the purchase. But if you do, consider something else. The camera and the app is just bad, unable to sync at all. The constant updates in this app does not solve any problem. You basically have a camera that does not allow you to download the data, unless of course you manually read the memory card, which defeats the purpose doesn't it?
It was not usable after upgraded to the latest version. Now I cannot view the recorded video with my phone, which is Android 9. I owned both cameras, which were now useless without being able to view recorded video with my phone. Can the developer of the app look into the current useless app and quickly do an update to this app.
Complete piece of garbage. Constant lockups. Dashcam keeps shutting down and resetting during footage transfer. Buy another brand of dashcam with a decent app.
"X-9 camera, Motorola V-Force phone" Phone would not connect to camera via WiFi unless I turned off the mobile data on the phone. App works as it should otherwise. I would like to see more of setting options in the app that are available in the PC software. Like being able to turn off the camera's warning LED's...
The app can't seem to connect to the camera via wifi. It kept having error since I got it in June 2019. Searched on solutions online and tried them, doesn't work. After reading the reviews, apparently I wasn't the only one facing this issue. Disappointed. Please fix this. It's getting frustrating when I need to retrieve a video.
A COMPLETE EXPENSIVE FAILURE. Never works hard to connect and unable to access videos easily.
Finally working on Android 10. You do not have to turn off "Mobile Data" or even "VoLTE" anymore. When you enter the app and try to connect, the video camera will prompt, "Press the Wifi button to register the smartphone". Just press it and you will hear the prompt, "Smartphone registered, User connected" and you are done. BTW, i'm on Samsung S9 Plus, android 10.
Several minutes of "Retrieving data, please wait." every time the app is started. As others have mentioned, also does not remember camera association, so you have to go through the "first time" initialization. A 10 minute delay between starting the application and being able to review footage is not acceptable. Barely earns a 2/5 by not being entirely broken (it does function reasonably after the long wait) or full of obnoxious ads. Hopefully will be fully functional in the future.
Horrendous, at best. Can't imagine recommending the app to others. X10 simply refuses to allow viewing or downloading the clips. What good would a product do if the supplied app isn't compatible. Mutiple uninstallation/reinstallation of app, enabling/disabling wifi, cellular services etc didn't work. It is a pain in the back!
Ridiculous app that keeps on crashing and saying no internet connectivity when trying to download from the car! Please get your App right guys!! Ridiculous!! Update: 6th May - Tks for the update, which took very long by the way - Also yes I've done all that and it still keeps crashing or worse can't even load the previously saved videos on the card
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE If I could give less than a 1 star I would. This dashcam and its associated app are APPALLING to try and setup and use. No WAY I'm going to be keeping it.
Does not connect with the camera. Have done all the combinations wifi, mobile data on or off. This upgraded app simply don't connect. The video recorded in the SD card can't be viewed at all. This camera is good as useless without ability to view the video. New buyers beware.
App works fine, but is an absolute nightmare if you're not sure what you're doing. After troubleshooting the same issue everyone else seems to be having, I jumped on with support from Black Box My Car, and we worked to troubleshoot the network issue together. While we were chatting, I went for the nuclear option and got it working finally. Here are the steps I took. 1. Uninstalled the app 2. Restarted phone 3. Reinstalled the app 4. Connected to the the camera network 5. Granted every single permission requested 6. Put camera in registration mode 7. Added the camera in app Huge pain, but in the end it works. Took a star away for some translation issues, and ease of use (or lack thereof).
This app is ok..you just have to disconnect the phone internet data connection and only using the VDR wifi to connect with your phone. Then it's ok
The previous version was ok. This latest bug fix does not help. I connected to my phone for just less than a minute and it consistently dropped connections. This is repeated after i tried hard resets on my T10 as well as my Android phone. In need of bug fix. Cheers
To connect, one has to first turn off the mobile data in the phone settings. After so many bad reviews about this issue for so long, the company still does not bother to do anything. That show how "good and efficient" they are. Last iroad for me.
After re-installed with the updated version of the app, I finally was able to connect to my camera. Seems to be better than the older version. Now I have the option to reverse the view of my rear camera, which is a good feature. Looks more than mirror view. The UI is also changed, maybe better.
I have a Samsung s21 and I cannot get the app to work,it just crashes any help would be greatly appreciated
I spent top money on cameras I can't even access easily when required. No audio on phone when the Chinese DDPai was flawless at 2K resolution on my S8 galaxy, with sound. Never been able to get expensive OBD cable to work even after asking for help. Video is jittery and hard to navigate to what you want as there is no thumbnails used. A complete expensive failure.
