This is the first app I've rated. I've looked through so many apps trying to find something that actually works, that didn't seem like there was some alterier motive behind it. After plenty of searching, I found this. Great job. Found a similar Sony receiver that worked. Sony don't even update their own app. Really happy with what you've done. More than just the 6 buttons others offer too. Keep up the good work.
I had a 7 inch display controller (for a OSMC system) from some chinese brand, so I wasn't able to find a remote for it's IR receiver. The app is great in the sense that it lets you modify buttons (icons, texts) , have access to souce codes(also edit them) and also tests you test buttons from all remotes at once, instead of selecting a remote and then testing it out. Also, widgets are great Thanks a lot for the application!
I have an old TV from a lesser known brand and after I lost the remote for it, I started trying IR remote apps to see if they would work with it. After sifting through probably docens, this one not only worked with my TV, it also let me edit the hex code for the buttons, so I was able to make all of the buttons work properly by swapping the hex codes in the ones that didn't. Exceptional app, I'd give it 6 stars if I could.
I don't usually rate apps but I had to rate this one, it's by far the best IR remote app in the store. I have a brand of TV that's not available in this or any other map models list, but I managed to make it work with irplus by combining buttons from 5-6 other TVs! Nedless to say, I know nothing about programming remotes, IR codes, XML editing etc., but I still managed to do it, if somone knew all those things he would have endless possibilities with this awesome app
Very handy. Even if you only use as a backup remote, like when you lose one or troubleshoot faulty remotes problems ... or great for pranks at a friend's house :) Database is big enough such that even if I can't find the exact model, there are similar models which work usually with 100% of functions. I've used on 4 tvs, 2 stereos, 1 aircon. "Out of ten, it's a win." - Flossy Carter.
A Remote that actually works! If you have been looking for universal remotes like peel or any of those other junk a$$ remote apps like i did, you finally found a good one. Ever since ir has been removed from mobile phones, almost all remtoe apps have gone to hell and simply don't work or don't have all your devices or are plagued with so many ads i feel infected just opening them. Not with this app. It's not as glamorous with the looks of the remotes, but it has all the buttons and it just works
Very good. You can really customise it and add your own codes, but it already had codes for all my hardware. Easy to switch remotes as well. There's one thing I'd like to add though, please let me pay to remove advertisements. I do not like adverts on apps I intend to use frequently. That said, the addvertisements are not intrusive at least, hence the rating.
5 star app! This remote app is one of the best out there. I originally had a problem with severe button transmit delay time within the buttons of any "Learned" functions. Turns out pressing the button multiple times during the learn process seems to cause issues. Also I noticed during the learn process if the remote is tilted or moved much, it causes it to record the code with errors (duplicate numbers in sequence). (A nice feature would be if -Learn were available during editing).
The best of the Universal Remote Control Apps I have tried. Great to be able to customise the buttons for each device. Ads are discreetly displayed at the bottom with no full screen ads. Prepared to pay for an ad-free version. Many thanks to the developer.
Just the best IR app after trying so many. Easy to add remote from remote database, custom remote for a spacific layout, widgets!!¡! and non invasive adds(I dont notice them). After trying some other painful apps and pretty much giving up hope of turning my IR android into a universal remote I would (if I could) rate this a 6 or maybe 7 out of 5
I actually like the look and feel of this app, but cannot use it because I must use an IR Blaster USB-C dongle on my Samsung Galaxy Note 9. It does not ask for permissions beyond reasonable need! It would be useful if a settings page allowed the IR Blaster to be tested / configured. But it DOES post near the bottom a message saying it can't find the IR Blaster when you press any button on a remote. Would like to see the button-test method of remote config be available ... but not compulsory.
This is an excellent app that works as described. Setup was easy and immediate on my Huawei P30 Pro. I appreciate the ability to adjust/import remote layouts, and the ability to use widgets. The only other feature I would like is the ability to pay for and remove ads. Great work by the developer.
Excellent. Allowed import of codes captured from Arduino for Platinum brand TV. Just need a way to allow adjustable periodic sending and resending of the "repeat last key press" code to make the volume button work smoothly and this app would then exactly mimic the original remote; currently, the repeat sending of volume up is very slow as with all other apps I have tried, which means it takes ages for the volume to respond. Don't know if android allows fast resending of codes however.
Good app. I need all my remotes in on app. This is not perfect yet, but quite useful. You should add remotes for smart devices like android tv, android box, wifi leds etc, so All the remotes including IR, Bluetooth and WiFi devices are organised in a, single app. Can you please do a tutorial on how to make remote files for ir devices not present in the database? It will help you as people will keep adding more devices to your database
I've never reviewed an app before but this one is amazing. Believe all the positive reviews here. This app has made FIVE separate remote controls redundant, from a 2008 Panasonic TV to a 2019 Kindle Fire TV stick (all are lashed together with a variety of cables). I would happily pay for an ad-free version of this (not because the ads are intrusive - they aren't) to say thank you to the developer.
Spectacular crowd sourced selection of remote codes that work, very customisable, very easy to use. (obviously only for devices with infrared output). You can even make your own remote with a selection of codes for various devices all in one. Great work!! very impressed.
I love how customizable this app is, especially because it lets you manually set codes for buttons, which is SUPER useful for making Arduino projects with an IR receiver. it's only got a little banner ad space on the bottom, which is perfectly fine.
Worked with my Sanyo TV fine, only complaint about that is there's no dot (.) on control in order to reach specific antenna stations such as 12.4. Otherwise its good. Wasn't compatible at all with my Insignia Blu-ray player, then again, only 1 app out of dozens I've tested could do it.
Wow, after trying a few other apps I found one that works on my old stereo. It isn't very user friendly to customise, but it works! Now I can turn up/down the volume with my phones physical vol+/vol- button or the touchscreen. Added my tv too! I highly recommend.
After Anymote being discontinued and servers stopped working (for a paid product!!!), Irplus is the app of first choice for me!! Superb app, adfree version not available at the moment however i trust the author of the app will add such option. I would happily pay for removing ads.
The best universal IR remote app ive ever seen. Its so simple and easy to setup and works perfectly. I was using Peel app and was sick of all the intrusive ads. The only ads here is a small bar at the bottom that doesnt effect the use at all. I couldn't recommend this app more and only disappointment is i didn't find it ages ago. Another reason why Android is great too it still has an IR blaster.
Very nice television remote control app! Works well on TVs, cable satellite set top boxes, DVD players, etc. Just need to look at the brand and model, or make a guess. Using my Samsung Galaxy S5's IR Blaster (infrared remote). It would be cool if the developer made this app open source, I'd love to toy with it on Github!
A very capable and versatile app. the ability to add additional codes makes it unbeatable. The best feature though, widgets. I have a page of them on my home screen with often used commands of my TV, home theatre and STB. Very useful!
Works on every phone (with IR) I have tried (quite a few!), wich you cannot say for all ther similar apps. Huge database, and even if your exact model isn't listed there might be some similar that will work just as as well. Only thing I would wish for is a "remve ads" option inside the app. If for nothing else to support the developer of this super app!
Loved this app. Our tv remote went missing so I installed a few remote control apps. This one is the best by far. Not plaguing me with ads. It's easy to install and use. And most importantly it works perfectly. Thank you.
Probably works fine IF you know the model number. I only use app remotes for TV in hotels etc when the provided remote is usually a generic replacement, and as I need subtitles not available with such remotes. Obviously hotel tv's are wall mounted with no access to required info
Works well with my TV brand, although i like to stick to my xbox 360 for youtube, and the controls for xbox 360 worked for a few days, then became completely unresponsive. Everything else functions fine so overall, pretty good.
This app is actually useful. All other remote apps are rubbish, only show a few buttons on each page and have terrible subscription models, full page ads and hard to use UI. This app isn't perfect, but it's way better than anything else. Protip: look at the model number of your existing remote and pick the closest to that number, not the tv or device.
