So many ads... Is there an Ad-Free version available? I'm sure people would pay $1 or $2 to not have to deal with all the spam ads. Also, why is the permission "run at startup" turned on? There is no reason for this permission other than to drain the cell battery and illegally collect data.
Doesn't list most of the yards or recyclers in my area. Reciept reader also doesn't work. Many wrong prices for the yards that are available. Lost a bunch of money from trying it out.
This is a very good way to get any help with my metal prices for salvage yards near me. It's very helpful and easy as well as informative. Thank You
This app is awesome!you can keep all your scrap metal prices in one place,it's great!!😃
Lovely idea. Needs some polish. Some of the app pathways are tedious. The worst part of the app for me is reporting prices on scrap. The keyboard that pops up for the price input doesn't include a decimal point. So, for instance, you are unable to type "0.05." I've been manually typing the prices in another app and copying the digits into the price input field.
The app had been working just fine until today when I tried it it does not work about 10 seconds after I load it it just quits and goes away. Maybe a 2022 thing? Okay I saw down the reviews a little bit that it said you had fixed the Android crashing problem, not! It is still there I just reinstalled the app and it still crashes after just a few seconds. back to the drawing board I will edit my review when this is fixed.
Having the same problems as the other reviewers. i reinstalled it to see if that would help and still it would shut down automatically. Will fix review once bug is fixed.
I was not impressed with this app at all. As others have stated, the map is not accurate at all. While it did show 2 scrap yards near me, it is missing several others. I tried to find some place on the app to add scrap yards or atleast suggest adding but was unable to locate it. Also the places it does have, doesnt give you address or phone numbers for.
Very informative... The best thing to come about for all scrappers everywhere.
Prices for local yards not available can only go by national average which is no where close to what our yards are paying.
I have used this for a long time now & I've never had a problem. I've gotten some useful information from the videos. The app ya good way to check the ups & downs of the market.
Great idea for an app, and it functioned fine for about 5 minutes. Then it crashed and now everytime I open the app, I hit "find today's prices" and it immediately crashes. As such the app is unusable. Willing to give this app another try if and when they fix the issue.
This app is not being updated. There is a scrapyard that has been closed down for about three years. I suggest that there be a team of people in different areas calling and checking out the places first before they advertise anything because it would avoid time being wasted of going there and it not be open. At least once a week. I can say for the scrapyards I am nearby is American Metal Recycling in Grand Terrace and Safeway Recycle in Bloomington. As soon as it gets fixed on the app so I can post the updated prices, I will update the prices. Please fix soon. It needs a home menu with many options. Including a contact us option. Thanks
App is okay doesn't allow me to add local scrap yard prices and can't find where to add local scrap yards to be able to add prices
The app is useless. Any information it gives you can get from google maps. No listing of prices at individual yards, just a list of averages. Useless. Plenty of ads, though. Use this frequently if you enjoy wasting your time providing someone else with revenue.
Trying to add some prices for my local yard since the ones in the app are over a year old. No wonder they are so old though because the app won't let me update prices. Unable to remove the $0.00 price and replace it with a current amount. Not very useful if the information you ask for can't be entered.
This app WAS awesome! But now all I get is page after page of ads and I'm unable to get to the pricing. I can see the map of nearby scrap yards, nothing else. Please fix, then it's a definite 5 star rating.
I've been enjoying the articles that iScrap publish online so i figured I'd check out their app. It gives me a good idea of fair pricing for scrap metal although most of the scrap yards in my area aren't listed on the app. I didn't get as much use out of it as I'd hoped, but generally speaking as a scrapping hobbyist, it's a fairly useful app.
Was a decent app, but now loads ads first when opening app. Ad page stays far too long and often "hangs" sometimes exceeding two minutes! There is no option to move on to the actual app and you must suffer through. Can no longer recommend.
I see they have added more salvage prices on many different items and metals. Some of these are good. Alot of scrap yards don't take what's on that list for those prices. I still think your off 30 to 50 a ton on complete cars and iron prices per ton. I still like the app and what it has done is make salvage yards owning up to prices and adding them to there websites. Thanks iscrap
I am only giving this app 2 stars for now. The prices are severely outdated in my area and not all the scrap yards in my area are on here. I will not post updated prices as long as I have to sign into a Facebook account to do so. I am uninstalling maybe yall can get your IT person to fix this issue soon. If the Facebook login wasn't an issue this app would be a lot better.
Cameras no good will not recognize a picture and upload it. Cannot put in scrap prices manually cuz it does not work either
App is now pointless - used to be able to see scrap prices for local yards now all that shows up on price screens are google ads. Closing ads does nothing. No other option to view pricing. App was useful however at the moment pointless to use.
A great idea for an app! What bums me out is: 1. Not ALL of the recyclers/scrap yards in our area are listed. I'd like to be able to add other yards, even if I have to wait for you to verify it before including in your database. 2. The current prices aren't shown for the yards listed because the app is dependent on users updating their local scrap prices. It is nice that I can add the prices myself though. 3. Where do the daily prices on your Prices screen come from? Nat'l avg? NASDAQ?
Nice source for info on prices... but it doesn't use the same language as the scrap yards. If you don't know what different scrap is labeled as you won't know what price meets your scrap. Example: aluminum comes in more than 5 varieties. Which one is 6061, 6063, 6063fe? It would also be nice to have the scrap organized by metal type (Aluminum with aluminum, steel with steel, etc) Seeing these changes would be great!
All this app does is clock and does nothing.
Well they're a little bit outdated they need a re-up everything in my area subscribers are not here anymore I'm the one that is still here they don't have it on there besides all that that's pretty cool
I do this kind of work it helps me so Ican tell my boss to take scrape in to the yard when price is good.
Sent 4 quotes on catalytic converters. Never heard anything back. Submitting prices is terrible. When you type in different metals, it hardly brings up the metal your looking for.
I don't need to wait for a buffer to load a LIST. This is a text list only, it shouldn't take me 60 seconds of scrolling to reach the price of stainless. This app used to be a chart that showed ALL scrap prices, type and price but now it's a scrolling list that has made it far less user friendly I end up waiting just to get to the info that I need.
