Not only is the app now mandatory (no more physical cards), but it is also very poorly made. I constantly get a message saying "something went wrong" underneath a bar with green dot showing "valid" and a wrong time, which I can't even screenshot because the app prevents that. This is simply not reliable enough for a discount card which you need to be able to show on public transport 100% reliably or else be fined. This virtual ISIC nonsense just causes anxiety whether or not it will work today.
App is awful. It only worked once, and never again. It kept telling me to check my data connection when I was connected to 4g and everything else on my phone was working fine. I tried everything to fix this (reinstalling, etc) but it never worked. Don't spend money on the digital card
App crashes 99% of the time. University of London international students use this as recommended by Cambridge but the app doesn't work, crashes, and you can't even open it. I managed to open it once only and then it doesn't work anymore.
What is wrong with this APP. I paid 15€ for freaking digital international student card that cannot be used because the app doesn't display the card. And even though I have 4G internet connection it is not loading at all. Apparently, a serious bug that has to be FIXED ASAP. Otherwise the app and the card are completely useless.
Terrible user experience. I am using the application in Romania and tried to obtain the ISIC card associated to my bank card. I had been given the wrong instructions for registering and ended up with the wrong virtual card, due to which I could not get my transport pass. The solution to this issue was sending me a new ISIC card number with which I'd have to sign up for a new account, using a different e-mail than the one used initially. This is not in order, at least delete the old account
I got my ISIC renewed at university for another year (got a 2022 sticker at the back), however the app says that the card has expired which is obviously not true since I've been using it after the renewal without any problems. EDIT: Everything is working now. Thanks for replying, I appreciate it. Naturally, I'm increasing the rarting to 5*.
"something went wrong" when I want to view my isic card. I reinstalled the app multiple times and it is still not working. I need the card urgently, please help. UPDATE: Issue solved, thank you very much for the hard work!
When I try to add the card to the app, it asks me to turn on the lock on phone... okay, I turn on the lock but when I go back to app it starts flickering and it becomes uncontrollable. I can't even turn it off, so I have to reboot the phone...
Doesn't work for combined cards. They don't get validated. Other big issue even in the first window is that the photos should be really small in mb size... You have to parse your camera photos in a 3rd party app in order to upload them for validation.
ISIC info is completely useless with their help. Sent them 3~4 emails, they never get back to you. (I've been waiting for their response for months). No customer service to call, so you pretty much have to wait until they get back to you by e-mail, which they never check, or care. So, if you have a problem with ISIC app or ISIC in general, just give up. They hardly deserve a one for their rating.
Good app for every student. It shows you discounts in many places all over the world. You can search them by setting own filters. If you don't have an ISIC card this app will also instruct you how to get one in your country.
App language is a major issue.ISIC says the app picks the language of the phone set as the highest priority.I set my phones language as English, reboot device and checked again. No result. Same japanese language appears.
The digital card is working, thanks for introducing it. However, some places don't know that the digital cards exist and can be reluctant to provide a discount or special offer for ISIC holders. Partners should be obliged to accept the digital version of the card. Also, it would be useful to support NFC, for example, to enter school with the app instead of physical card. One thing I also noticed is that the app sometimes logs you out from time to time, and it can be spontaneously inconvenient.
Wow this app helping me to find all online booking solution for all countries. Discount also provding with this app is very nice. ISIC is a best app for travelling people all over the world
Unwanted advertisement notifications about coffee in city far away from where I live, and no opt-out (for something that should be opt-in) in the app. I had to block this spam in Android.
Wastage of time and money, just received isic card after a month and now the app is not working even though I used high speed internet and if the app is not working then whats the use of the card? If there is an option of zero star, I will prefer to give you that.
App failed to show my valid student card on many occasions, resulting in me paying standard admission fees in places. Overall the card costed significantly more than the savings benefited, when the app worked properly.
I cannot add picture of my isic card, I took a photo/add a photo from my gallery and when I click ok, it do nothing. It shows that I clicked but nothing else.
App doesn't load and neither does the website. Just wasted $10 on this card when nothing even works. Don't waste your money or time.
This app isn't usable when you're offline, bcs still exist places where isn't free wifi and everybody doesn't have time and money for using data to show your card...
Hello, I am haci g ISIC 2nd year and I have a validation sticker that shows the expiration date 09/2019 when I enter my isic number the app says that it's expired which is impossible, could you please help me solve that problem?
Great mobile app. Very easy to use and find students discounts. Really appreciate it and recommend.
This app is complete garbage which will not even allow me to sign up. The message "cannot connect to server" prevents the sign up process.
If you're a cardholder this is an awesome app to find a lot of discounts. Definitely worth a look.
Can't get the card offline or screen it
Very nice application for students, easy to find discount at many places.
Not user-friendly!!! There is no "logout" or "signout" button that is visible on the page, thus, making it a completely unexciting & bad app! Also, no option to edit profile details for those who may wish to make changes like password, school & name changes. Furthermore, slow loading time & prolonged unresponsiveness; ISIC developers attend to urgently!!
