Since app update on 3/29/22, the siren volume on stay in set position as well as the door chimes won't stay in set position. When arming or disarming, there is no noise coming from base station or satellite sirens. Also when arming or disarming the symbols do not stay red when opening the app so you dont know if its armed or not. The events tab shows I have events but will not show them. I rebooted cube & sensors. App update 5/23/22, same problems, still nothing works!!!!
Updated this review from a 1 to a 3 after finding instructions to uninstall the new app and install an old APK app (which no longer works). However, this forced the app to push me to update which actually worked this time after not working for me doing it manually from the play store. Now it appears all the functionality that fell off is back with the exception of the phone/text notifications. Still not a pretty or user friendly interphase but it's working again at least.
Terrible support, bought a very expensive camera that went out of support after 9 months and cannot use, terrible integration with android, goes offline, was sold with email and call notifications, 1 year after not anymore. Would not buy it again, get something else, stay away from this
These cameras and app are total junk, can't get it to connect at all, and the repeated timeouts make me want to go Office Space on these cameras. Don't buy the devices. Don't install this app
New Android version of the app will not connect to cameras after running in background for a while. If you restart the app it works again. Using on Android 12 Samsung A52 device.
Thanks to the team for upgrading and maintaining the iSmartAlarm! I'm very pleased with the product.
So, I believe the system is running as before. Thank you for fixing the issues. I will still use the iSmartAlarm as long as it is working.
Seems to be a scam product after all. By not letting buyers use a free version is not sounding that legal to me. I bought the product from a shop and paid for it.
After the March 23rd "Upgrade", notifications from the iSmart cube are no longer working, a key aspect of this alarm system! What gives?
Very easy to use. what I love most about it is the wide angle range. It covers a very wide area clearly. Well done.
Cannot reset my password. I cannot login. After the last update I cannot acces my account. This app, and the whole service is useless.
After software updated, my motion sensor device and three sirens all are offline no matter I rebooted the system cube. ..... unplug and replug all devices.
Terribly made app with awful support. Just now got the notice that they have sold the app to some other company and now I can't even log in to view my devices.
This is a total scam!! Do not buy this alarm! App stopped working and alarm is now unusable!!!!
System was working fine, after firmware update on 5-2022 everything went offline and System will not work now.
I have used ismartalarm for nearly 6 years now and I was very happy with the experience, till the company was acquired and the app was completely revamped. The result was ugly user interface, with unnecessary changes that make a lot less accessible. But the worst part is it removed all my keep pro cameras and does not recognize them anymore. They have not added support after nearly a year either. I have to throw away the whole system. It seems the acquisition is intended to kill the product!
I have submitted multiple tickets since the last update, and unlike previous times, gotten no response, no update on whether my issue is being addressed, no communication. When I had an issue before, they maintained contact& helped resolve the problem. Now I cannot save clips via email, I get no notifications to my phone when I'm away. This will not be good when I am away from home, and it is NOT good when I need to send clips to the property manager. I loved this app when I first set it up, but now my cameras are just junk. $100+ worth of junk!😡 I am researching to see if the cameras work on other apps. At least this app is English!
I have been an occasional user of the system for a few years. In the past, some of my Ismart cameras would go offline with no way to remotely reboot them and bring them back online. Now, I find that most of the alert features no longer work. Further, in the last week, I, like thousands of others have not even been able to logon to the app and manage security systems. When Ismart's network is down, the app and Ismart hardware are absolutely useless. This company knows this and has done nothing to console its customer base.
The device is pretty good but the app is just so-so. I couldn't find sound detection setting after upgrading to a new version. I received a lot of sound detection notifications with the new version, which is actually caused by the refrigerator in the kitchen. Probably I need to buy a new and silent one thanks to ismartalarm.
Hardware is great and reliable; setup is a breeze; app is just OK. Very sluggish, and missing widgets (A MUST). Every time you open the app on Android is prompts you to accept the terms. Can you please make it remember and stop asking? Would also be nice to have other options, like a door open time alert (when disarmed), and integration with other hubs (like SmartThings).
App updated a few weeks ago on my android phone, and the new version will not connect to the system, however it works fine on all Apple products. I have rebooted the system, reinstalled the app and it will not work with the android phone. Update! They contacted me and fixed the problem. System is working great!!
