Isotope Browser

Provided by the Nuclear Data Section of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the app gives properties of more than 4 000 nuclides and isomers.
A Chart of Nuclides, with zooming and tapping enabled, and a Periodic Table of Elements are included to allow easy selection and navigation.

Filter criteria on half-life, decay mode, radiation type and energy can be selected. Summary data are presented in a scrolling list, with a details page for each nuclide containing web links to the data sources and further information. The filtered nuclides can be visualised on the Chart of Nuclides.

Data are taken from the most recent and reliable sources, and optimal search-and-retrieve performance is achieved with an embedded database, meaning that no network connection is required.

Pretty good. Very, very convenient. Also, it's very fun to navigate through isotope chart, and decay chains are super simple to navigate.

First of all I would like to extend my gratitude to the developers of such an useful android app. Further, on a light note, I'd like to bring their attention to some of the erroneous entries made for the 'end point energy' of some beta emitting radionuclide like F-18, Ga-68, etc. Regards.

After reporting problems with version 5.0.50 released on 19-Mar-2019, the authors reposted an earlier version within 12 hours. I now have full functionality of this excellent program. I am a Health Physicist involved in radiation protection, and I view Isotope Browser as a must-have program for radionuclide decay characteristics. Thank you IAEA.

cant get it to run. I stand corrected. It was very nice to be informed of the latest revision. Issues corrected for my Android platform. I greatly appreciate your product and follow up efforts.

The app will be very useful for teachers as one of teaching instruments. Excellent approach from IAEA, especially related to the RAS0079 program for high school teachers.

Very rapid response after yesterday's update broke the app. Today's version has fixed it. A very useful app which is used here almost daily.

Sometimes unsure on what tapping a particular icon will do, but generally a very useful app if you have to constantly look up nuclear data.

Use this list quite frequently, helps slit while out searching and basing a isotopes decay.

It's great in all but when I tap on the helium and hydrogen isotopes it says its a Bk (Berkelium) isotope

Great app and a must have for anyone that knows what an isotope is.

I would like to help translate it to German

Great job! I wish I had this when I did my undergrad!

All my life I searched this app. Never knew it actually exist.

Must have for nuclear students and researchers

the best from the West!

I am overwhelmed by all the thought and science which, no doubt, lay behind this rather small app. I also like the fact that the background for the nuclide chart, is black. Does it symbolize dark matter, I wonder? :-D

informative

It is the only app of this kind in Google Play Store. It needs no permissions. It is relatively small in comparasition to the features. It starts very quickly. And it has a lot of more features. Perfect!

In the decay view mode zoom is very sensitive, and elements table overlap decay description (e+, e- etc..)

I love small efficient well-made apps that do a specific job and do it well. Everybody should have this (and similar apps) instead of clogging their phones up with junk. Contains everything you ever wanted to know about isotopes but we're afraid to ask haha. And the elements running through the middle of the chart. Love the layout, just zoom in or out and press to select. Data from the proverbial horse's mouth too.

A lot of info about isotopes. Useful after the inevitable nuclear exchange.

seems Good to me. Its helpful and comfortable.

The zooming on the chart of nuclides is way too sensitive. Also the legend for the different types of decay is on a layer behind the chart itself and cannot be seen when zoomed in. Otherwise a very useful app, would be fantastic with a few small ux improvements.

Best app there is, I use it almost every day in my work. I just wish you could favorite elements that you commonly use.

I think there might be problem with the binding energy/A values, they are calculated with the mass of a hydrogen atom when the binding energy should be calculated with the mass of a proton, please check i am anxiously waiting, other than that this app deserves a 5

A tad sluggish but seriously exactly the sort of app we need to be making!
